PHP - Need Advice Processing A Csv File Of 1000 Lines
If I want to read in and process a CSV of a 1000 lines how easy is it to do without a database?
By process, I mean read in the data and do simple manipulations + compare each line with a line from another file, that maybe have 50 lines I was just concerned that I might start hogging the CPU and memory of the server trying to process 1000 lines of data It's VERY important that I can do WITHOUT a database I'd only consider a database if it proves that not using will take too much CPU and memory I've only just began considering making the application - can't give full details - as I've got to figure them out myself! The PHP file usually completes the job in 4 hours, but past 2 weekends, it failed to complete. Then, i need to reexecute the file. Why? And how to fix this? I have a .txt file containing hundreds of lines of Names (e.g. Brad, Jennifer, etc.) What coding can I use to only echo the first 20? I need to read all the rows from a text file between two specific lines into an array where I can process them. I then need to do the same thing again until the end of the file. The file is too large to read the entire file into an array. The number of rows that are between the key lines are variable. This is what I have so far to read the first set of rows into the array but it is only reading the first row when in fact in this case there are 15. Any pointers as to where I am going wrong please?

I try to echo out random lines of a html file and want after submit password to whole content of the same html file. I have two Problems.
1st Problem When I echo out the random lines of the html file I don't get just the text but the code of the html file as well. I don't want that. I just want the text. How to do that?

I tried instead of "file("$filename.html");" "readfile("$filename.html");" But then I get the random lines plus the whole content. Is there anything else I can use instead of file so that I get the random lines of text without the html code?P.S file_get_contents doesn't work either have tried that one.
2nd Problem:
As you could see in my first problem I have a file called $filename.html. After I submit the value of a password I want the whole content. But it is like the program did forget what $filename.html is. How can I make the program remember what $filename.html is? Or with other words how to get the whole content of the html file?

When choosing true or false for the answer and pressing submit, the answer is selected for every question. What would be the most efficient way... of displaying the information in the form of pairngs such as Week 1: Team 6 vs Team 1 Team 5 vs Team 2 etc .... What is the best way for me to sort my results? Hi, I am doing some scraping and processing in php that is time intensive. On my local machine it was no big deal, but now that the project is live and has realtime users daily I have some concerns. When php is processing does this mean other people can't connect to the server? (They will be queued until the process I am running finishes) ? I hope not, but my local testing seems like it IS that way. I did this: I ran a php script from my browser that took a few minutes to execute. While it was running I tried accessing the same local site via another browser tab and it halted. If this is in fact how php works on the live server, how would I go about running about 6000 processes daily that would consume ~1-4 hours of processing time?
