PHP - Php Forms Editing .txt Within Site | Events 'puzzle'
I am very new to PHP and very eager to just understand all of the stuff i have been desperately trying to get to work for the last week. I decided to give up on copy pasting and actually find help.
My main project right now is this: I want to have a website that I can edit from within a logged in section of the site (I've got the login part figured out - that is I have some code that at least has a pass and usrnm). But didn't see how to do this without making three pages. What I want is that I can within at least tow pages do all the following: Login, choose which event to edit, then adit all three parts and save. More flexible because bundles can enable or disable each of them conditionally depending on some configuration value. Symfony Event Subscribers. All specified Symfony events. Must implement EventSubscriberInterface Separate class but NOT configured in config.service.yaml but in class. Easier to reuse because the knowledge of the events is kept in the class rather than in the service definition.Are they used for totally different purposes or can one use Symfony events to also deal with entities? Where would one want to use these Symfony events? Is there a reason why Doctrine Lifecycle Subscribers are located in src/EventListener and not src/EventSubscriber Are Doctrine Lifecycle and Entity Listeners really only for a single event as I interpret the documentation states, or is it one method per Doctrine event such as the following? So i have this CMS that is used by lots of users and generally they do have rights to edit each others article. So now i'm thinking how can i at least warn them that somebody else is already editing it. Essentially, when the visitor loads the page two things happen: (1) a PHP application returns an image to serve as a background for the formula, (2) implement the algorithm of generating the formula based on IP, that is displayed on the image.
The puzzle itself would be in the form of ABC.DEF.GHI.JKL where each letter would be associated with the corresponding digit in their IP addy. The user is trying to solve for partial map coordinates. So, let's say the correct answer is N 35 54.374 W 084 01.829 and the user's IP is 075.036.025.058. The formula returned and placed on the image would be N 35 54. (E) (B) (F - H) W 084 01. (L) (H) (B + H) Whatever I use as the final correct answer will not change and be the same for all users; only the puzzle formula would differ for each user as it would be based on their IP at the moment. Currently I am looking to build a website around an events calendar, let me explain more. A user would log onto the site, submit a form (with an event), this would then be added to a calendar as well a new page for the event details. The calendar would be fully visible to an visitor to the site. I would also like the ability to add a ticker on the homepage with the latest events added. How complicated is this to implement? And what are the basic requirements? I hope this makes sense. Thanks, Cain i have an events script that displays upcoming events, and i just add the event in a simple form, stores in database and shows on my control panel, and the clients control panel ( only clients events ) firstly what is the best way to sort by date? i enter the date into a text field like 12-04-11 but this when sorted doesnt appear in upcoming first? then secondly how cani have it so, past events no longer show up so, if date = > today do not show? I am working on a small project, creating a calendar based booking system which includes the following features: 1) A color coded key for Booked days, Available, Partly Booked, Off Days 2) Clickable days which open up a form with available time slots 3) When time slots selected another form which allows the user to enter details about the event and then book the day

It's working great, but at some points after one of the random events goes through, I reload the page and it either gives me or takes away some starpoints without showing the message.. but it shows the message all the other times. Could someone help me debug this and see why it's doing that? I want to make a calendar that shows the schedule of a teacher in a school. most classes are weekly but some are only once a month or held irregular. classes are 50 minuter or sometimes 30 minutes. Preferably I would like to set the start time and end time of a class with a precision of 10 minutes. The output should be a html page that shows the weekly schedule with the days as columns and the hours as rows. Anybody knows of something similar or something I could use as a starting point ? thanks anatak I am trying to populate my even calendar with, well, events that are stored in a mysql table. I came across the following code and modified the query to work in my case. The code used mysql_query(), but I am using mysqli_query(), and for some reason it gets to that point and dies, but mysqli_error() doesn't even run; I just get "Error1:" If I take out the query part and only build the calendar it work perfectly. Does mysqli_query() not work inside a for loop? This hit my database for every day of the month, is there a better way? I also thought about running a query to pull all results then doing array_filter() inside the for loop for each day. Does this even work? I can't seem to figure it out. So if an event is to run All Day Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, it actually shows the end date as Monday, since it's midnight. I found a link (https://www.htmlgoodies.com/beyond/php/show-progress-report-for-long-running-php-scripts.html) that uses SSE to send progress updates to the client. In the original code, a loop is used to simulate a long script but in my case I'm trying to execute a python script that takes roughly 50 seconds. index.php

I just want to diplay the progress of the script but it is not doing so. What do I have to do to show the progress of the script? Note: I don't think is relavent but the python script just opens up a batch file. Are there other methods to display the progress bar of a script in php?
