PHP - Change Output Of A Php Cli File Add Commas?

I am using SimpleXMLElement to generate an xml file.

I am having some difficulty with formating the file. Hoping someone can assist.
(not having problem getting the data...just unsure when to use ->addChild, ->addAttribute and anything else)

This is the structure of how the file needs to be appear:

Hello

I need help with making a script.

The script shall get the output of a jar file, by reading it from the stream.


First it should start up the jar file. (exec I guess?)
Then it should start to read from the stream and post it on the site.

As a little "bonus", it would be nice if it could input things to the stream!

I just wrote a php page that pulls live data from a database and presents it in an XML layout.

In Internet Explorer, I can Edit, Select All, then Copy-Paste and save as XML. The resulting XML works fine.

In Firefox, I can click File, Save Page As, select Text Files, then name it as an XML. Again, it works fine as XML.

So..... how do I skip the Copy/Paste (IE) or Save Page As (Firefox) steps and write the output directly to an XML file? I've played with stdout(), buffers, page capturing utilities (wget, cURL, httrack, etc....), but no luck so far. This creates a pretty intense page due to the amount of data involved (1.3+ MB).

Any help is appreciated!


 

I am trying to make PHP output a file in html and using the following code.

I need to remove last line ' insert into invoice values (''); . How to change my code?

I have a PHP script that does some work copying some files and parsing through the files.  Then it creates an Excel file and sends it to the browser to download.  So you user will see the standard popup asking to save or open the file.  Well, I am using ob_flush to try and output text to the browser while it is working so the user knows something is happening.  But whenever I add the ob_flush lines in, it just sends a bunch of garbage text to the browser instead of downloading the file.  Anyone know a way around this?

I have constructed an audio dictionary and have discovered an error now that I have added a few entries to the database.

A user can search the database and can click on a result to be taken to the content associated with the entry he chooses.

The problem is that every entry on the database is echoed in word.php whereas I would like only the entries for the word selected to appear.

Hi,   I need to create a landing page with a form. That form needs to be recorded somewhere instead of sent to email. I know I can write it to a SQL database, and then to an excel file. But I only need a temporary solution so I figured I'd just go straight to CSV.    Is this bad practice? What potential problems might I encounter other than security issues?

I'm trying to write a new csv file using the data from a large 1.4gb csv file. The problem is that its not working with the code I have below. It just hangs up when the size of output (tempfile) reaches 848661. Any ideas?

so say I enter

12000000000 which would make the $total .. $15000000000

how so I make the total have commas in it, like $15,000,000,000

I was wondering how you would go about separating words with commas between them into an array. In this case I want users to be able to message multiple other users by entering their names in the following format: user1, user2, user3, user4 and then have php separate those into an array so I can then run them through a foreach(); so they can be sent to the correct users...

Any help or functions I should look into would be great... code not necessary, just point me in the right direction thanks!
