PHP - Highlighting Text Field When Button Is Clicked
I have a comment section. It is comprised of 3 major files. One file creates the form where you fill in your name and comment. Another file sends your comment to the DB. The third file displays the already existing comments on the page. You have the option to reply to the existing comments on the page. When you click the reply button I would like the comment text box to light up so the user knows its working but I have hit a brick wall.

Similar TutorialsHi, I need to make it so the items on my page are only displayed if the value in their database column is set to 1 (and 0 for no display). And I should be able to change those values with a checkbox toggle on my admin panel. Ideally I wouldn't have to click submit either. Table:

I'm not getting the value here unless I add a submit button. Guessing jQuery / AJAX is the way to go but can't seem to find any good tutorials on it, are there any other suitable approaches to this?

I am very limited in php code. All I know is from what little I have used My Custom Functions plugin. Please be very detailed. This stored procedure I run truncates and re-populates a number of tables I use for various reports. I am pulling data from the wp db and creating tables in the external db which make the data easier to read than through the wp meta data. The tables are housed in a separate db so as not to slow down the wp db. The hosting company does not allow 'Events' to run on the mySql db so I am left with figuring out how to create a cron job using a php file which would be the best. The SQL that I am using to get the query results is: Code: [Select] select * from queue where id like '%$searchvalue%' or subject like '%$searchvalue%' or body like '%$searchvalue%' This returns any rows that include like $searchvalue. So if $searchvalue was say "linux" - I would like the code to highlight the word Linux on the page. My suspicion (and from the research data I could find) is that I need to pass values in my link: <a href='posting_details.php'> ... I could not get it to work, but I was trying variations like: <a href='posting_details.php?get[title&get[description]]'> but it seems like I am screwing things up even more by doing this.. Anyhow. Hello, I have a field in which when a user types something into it, it saves it into a table in my SQL. But is it possible to remove a particular phrase from the field if the user enters it. Example: I have a text field that says 'please enter your website domain here'. The user then enters 'www.domain.com'. Is it possible for PHP to remove the 'www.' and only save the 'domain.com' to my SQL (bearing in mind that not all users may enter www.) The brief field is where user add info about their ad. Now people are including web url, phone numbers and email address in this field which make the ad look like spam. In the code there is already a function that check if they have entered their email address in the email field. I want to add a function to the check field to include the brief field. The first text field basically allows the user to input a duration of an event in the format of Hours:Minutes:Seconds such as: 02:30:00 is two and a half hours. The second textfield allows the user to put in an average time 'something' does something in the same format as above.
