PHP - Listing Mysql Table

Hey, I am still learning PHP and all it's functions. So some of the coding may not be clean. But here is the script I made that I am having problems with:

There are two queries going on. The first selects from the table "user" and gets the username depending on the user session and email. If one exists, it will go onto the next query to select from the table "listings" and gets seller, title, and id. It will then check if the username is equal to the seller. If it is, it will display the title. If not it displays otherwise. The problem is if the user has more than one title listed. But only 1 shows up. I'm guessing the line that has to change is Code: [Select]
echo "{$info['title']}";But I'm not to sure on what to change it to.

I need some help. Say that I have a list in my MySQL database that contains elements "A", "S", "C", "D" etc... Now, I want to generate an html table where these elements should be distributed in a random and unique way while leaving some entries of the table empty, see the picture below. But, I have no clue how to do this... Any hints?

Sorry if this has been answered but if it has I can't find it anywhere. So, from the begining then.  Lets say I had a member table and in it I wanted to store what their top 3 interests are.  Their$ row has all the usual things to identify them userID and password etc.. and I had a further 3 columns which were labled top3_1 top3_2 & top3_3 to put each of their interests in from a post form.

If instead I wanted to store this data as a PHP Array instead (using 1 column instead of 3) is there a way to store it as readable data when you open the PHPmyadmin?

At the moment all it says is array and when I call it back to the browser (say on a page where they could review and update their interests) it displays 'a' as top3_01 'r' as top3_02 and 'r' as top3_03 (in each putting what would be 'array' as it appears in the table if there were 5 results. Does anyone know what I mean?

For example -

If we had a form which collected the top 3 interests to put in a table called users,

With me so far? If I had a table which had 3 columns (1 for each interest) I could put something like -

But heres the thing, I want to put all these into an array to be stored in the 1 column (say called 'top3') and whats more have them clearly readable in PHPmyadmin and editable from there yet still be able to be called back an rendered on page when requested.

Continuing the example then, assuming ive changed the table for the 'top3' column instead of individual colums,  I could put something like this -

But it will appear in the column as 'Array' and when its called for using a query it will render the literal string. a r r in each field instead.  Now I know you can use the 'serialize()' & 'unserialize()' funtcions but it makes the entry in the database practically unreadable. Is there a way to make it readable and editable without having to create a content management system?

If so please let me know and I'll be your friend forever, lol, ok maybe not but I'd really appreciate the help anyways.  The other thing is, If you can do this or something like it, how am I to add entries to that array to go back into the data base?

Ok so I don't even know where to start with this idea so I thought I would poke around here for some inspiration. On my server I have a Directory. In that directory I have roughly 300 folders with 5,000 files + 1 index.php (so 5,001 files but I want to ignore the index.php in the listings) per directory. Anyway what I am trying to do is list all the files and load them into a database. What my ideal goal would be is device a script that I would put in the root directory with the 300 or so subdirectories and let it run through the directories automatically one by one, listing all the files in them and then storing them in the database. I'd break it down more but that part I can figure out on my own cause I do want to do more than just store the file names and corresponding directory its in in the DB. My issue is I can find anything or figure anything out that will cycle through all directories, thats what I need to figure out first.

Hey guys I have found this peice of code and messed around with it. I got it to work with Thickbox and I would like to know how to seperate my images aka files to every 4th column. Heres the code I found and tweaked. The images would look great if it was every 4th column they break. Also where would I place he echo command if I want it to display information about that image. I have a mysql database set up with 4 fields - id, month, day, event. The database will be filled with something like: month=Jan, day=4 and event=Meeting. All are text fields. The display will be Jan. 4: Meeting

Now it lists the first performances correctly; although it does NOT list the correct number of performances and the first performance is sometimes listed twice -- so almost there. See webpage http://www.myalaskacenter.com/centermail/_upcomingevents.php. For example, Anchorage Youth Symphony only has one performance, but it lists 2; while It's a Wonderful Life has 17 performances, but it lists only 2. What am I doing wrong still?

hi guys, im using a PHP script to output a list of documents in different directory's using a single index.php (apart from the style obv), its not a major issue but bugging me as to how to get it to ignore the "up" link for directory navigation. its outputting the below:

Hi friends, i want to ask a question. i have two page: "slider.php" and "mansethaberler.php"  i extract two data from the database, named "addnews_headline" and "addnews_image" in slider.php. i create link to extracted "headline" from the database. So I need a bit of help with tables. I currently have my website set up with the following tables:

products (productId, productName, link, productPrice, productDesc)

productscents (scentId, scentName, scentDesc)

salves (productId, productName, productDesc)


So now most products in the products table can be made in any of the scents in the productScents table (except for the salves and reed diffuser jar).  I have a separate table of the salve types that can be ordered. How do I join each product with each productScent.

For example:

If I have the following products with their Id number:
1 Body Mist
2 Massage Oil
3 Reed Diffuser Jar


and the following scents with their id (id has leading zeros):
0001 Mango
0002 Passionfruit
0003 Grapefruit

How would I create a master products table that will display the following:
3        Reed Diffuser Jar
10001 Mango Body Mist
10002 Passionfruit Body Mist
10003 Grapefruit Body Mist
20001 Mango Massage Oil
20002 Passionfruit Massage Oil
20003 Grapefruit Massage Oil
