PHP - Find Duplicate And Delete

Hi,   I wish to find out is there any possible that I can delete some data inside my php website but inside my sql database, the record will still at there?   Thank you.

I'm trying to set it so that it will delete an entire populated directory based upon a value in the database then after finishing that to go back and delete that row in the database.  my current code is

Hi..

So im currently working on a script..
My script generates a "oid" based on timestamp.

Ive made the "oid" field unique in my db, so if i do a quick refresh i get the message:

Duplicate entry '1283195988' for key 'oid'

Is there some way i can check if its a dublicate, and if it is + it with 1 or something?

I have a function that returns the value of a array if it matches $string, but it only returns Test 1 instead of returning Test 1, Test 2. Can you someone see what I'm doing wrong?
And it has to return N if nothing found.

Hi there, I know I'm doing something stupid, but i've tried for hours to try and figure this out and I just cant seem to figure out why tutorials i've seen seem to work yet my own code doesnt.
basically i've got two functions: getAll() and get($id) inside a class, calling getAll, returns an array with one of the same record as opposed to all the records (which is my intended result).  Can anyone help? thanks.

$items is an array.  It has multiple values, some duplicate. How do i count the duplicate values in the array and display in this foreach loop?

i know array_count_values($product) but putting that in the foreach loop won't accomplish what i want.

another thing. i can get the foreach loop  to not display duplicates by doing this

I am trying to submit data to my database via a form and when I click Submit, I get:

Duplicate entry '' for key 1

I understand that it means I have a duplicate entry with the ID of 1 or something like that. I can't find where the issue is.

Hello all,

I have an online script that counts the online registered users, guests and bots.

The script displays the users names that are online, and the bots names that are online.
Since a user can only be logged in at one time on one machine, I have no issues with duplicates here.

My issue is that bots appear depending how many are online, it'll say for example:
Users Online
Matt, Frank, Taylor, Google[bot], Google[bot], Google[bot].

I want to combine the bots, so it'll say:
Matt, Frank, Taylor, Google[bot][3].

I've tried doing this with if statements alone, but it seems maybe I'll  need a php function to do this with, how would I go about doing this?

Hello everyone.

I'd like to know how to duplicate a product through a php back-office.

That product consists of an ID in the "products" table of my DB. Then we have another table called "sub_products" that links its sub-products through a column named "product_id".

So I have product with ID "1000", and sub-products associated with it on another table with ID's "2021", "2022", "2023".

What's the routine I can use to duplicate both the product and its sub-products? I need to duplicate them because they fit 2 categories so I'm changing the category column during this duplicate.

Could really use some help. Thank you in advance! 

I am quite new so I am sure this is an easy fix for some of the experts around here.

I am using the canned script below to add urls to the database as text.  The problem is if you update one of the form text boxes it loads all the urls into the database again resulting in a lot of duplicates.

My question is, How do I get the form to only post the new changes and not re-post the existing urls?
