with regard to the former, the domain has one page per country I believe. so, you can get listings for like say, China and Russia on these 2 pages:

my question to folks here is, would this information be useful to me? I am putting together some website content that I do not want everyone in the world to see. And, it is possible that by some miracle, the sophisticated hacker world outside the USA will want to take it down and/or disrupt the service offerings of it if they find out that it exists. Anyone got any advice on whether these resources are even worth the effort to use? and if they are, what is the best way to leverage them? e.g. - when pulling info from the server DB to display content on the page, check this IP data first to see who they are and whether I will allow them or block them?

@requinix, I know we've talked about blocking illegitimate traffic before.  and I know you said I can't ever get rid of all of it.  but this is new info that I've run across.  Just wondering what you guys think of this.  =)

the input accept the value only  after selecting one of the listed value on the suggesstion box  and then i have to click the submit  button the problem is, how to submit the value accepted when a list is clicked 

I'm having trouble echoing $year in my script. It doesn't show up in the table on the webpage. Everything else works fine. Any help wold be appreciated greatly. Thanks in advance.

I'm trying to make a League of Legends (a video game) community website, both as a personal project and for practice.
Now the game has a lot of champions, each of whom have 5 unique abilities. Now, I thought about manually inputting all the details about each champion into a MySQL database, but that would long and tedious, and I don't really have the time for it now. Also, the game patches very oftern (like, once every 2 weeks) which changes many of the stats, etc. of the champion, and it is not possible for me to keep manually updating these every time there is a patch.

Fortunately, there is a League of Legends Wiki which has all the data I need in their specific champion pages, which they keep updated per patch. So I was wondering if there was any way to get the data from the divs in the wiki, and have it display on my site. What I want to do in my website is that whenever someone types a champion's name (in a post or whatever), I want it to display a hover-over dialog with some of the champions details. And a lot of other features such as that.

In plain English I need a way to :
> Tell PHP to go to the wiki's source code on a specific page
> Find a specific div container
> Get X data from there
> Pass X data into a function to display the hover-over

I think this way, I would not have to maintain a database as I can leech off the wiki's data.
I have not coded anything like this before, so I would like a few pointers as to how to achieve this. Any help will be appreciated!

Is it possible to download files from a website to my online websites root directory? reason I'm asking is because I have been downloading large video files to my computer which take about 20 minutes!! Then I use FTP to upload them to my site but it takes about 2-3 hours per video!! I was looking for a faster way! All help would be great!

Can anybody see what the issue is?

Hi I have been working on this code for almost two weeks and can't get over the last hurdle.  If someone can put a fresh set of eys on it I would appreciate it.  I have 3 files -  a geocoder php script which I can't get to work, but it is exactly like the example given on Google except that I have my addresses broken down by street, city, state and zip.

I have stored a google map link into a database. When I try to display it from database using the command below

Mods please move if this is the wrong place to ask.

I have a google maps api added to my web site but i want to be able to position "pins" on the map to show all the the registered clubs in an area... eg the user searches dublin and all teh clubs pop up...

My question is.. is there anyway to do this without needing the user to supply the long/lat.. ie can it be gotten automatically??

I really just want it to work off the addrees/area they supplied when they registered.
