PHP - Loop Jquery Gallery
Hi,
I am using the following script which displays images in a gallery.
https://feimosi.gith...baguetteBox.js/
However, when it gets to the last image, it doesn't scroll back to the beginning and also stating at teh first image, doesn't let you scroll to the last image.
Is there a way I can make the gallery loop in both directions? I'm guessing I can add a jQuery option?
<script>Thanks! Similar TutorialsDear all, Help required in code: I have 2 tables (sites and photo_gallery) in my database. First I display my posts from database, then it goes to my viewpost page. Everything work file but in gallery portion my loop didn't work. IN TOP of the page I use this code to run all viewpost pages.
if(isset($_GET['id'])) { <?php
if($result->num_rows > 0){
?>
<?php } 1 to 15 images with every post and it will display only one 2nd image. Thank you for the help. I want to fetch items from a database and be able to update their quantity by selecting a number from a drop down selection and press the button "Update quantity" to perform the action.
I have the following php code:
echo '<table border="4"> <tr> <th>ID</th> <th>Item Name</th> <th>Current Quantity</th> <th>New Quantity</th> <th>Update</th> </tr>'; for($i=0 ;$i<$k; $i++) $z = $i+1; //fetch data from database $id = the id of the row that the entry/item is at $item_name = the name of the item $current_quantity = the current quantity of the item //create a table of entries echo '<tr'> <td>'.$z.'</td> <td>'.$item_name.'</td> <td>'.$current_quantity.'</td> <td> <select id="quantity" name="quantity"> <option value="1">1</option> <option value="2">2</option> <option value="3">3</option> . . . </select> </td>'; echo '<td> <button type="button" value="'.$id.'" name="updatebtn" id="updatebtn">Update Quantity</button> </td>'; echo '</tr>';Where k = number or matches in database The result is something like this: //////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// ///ID // Item Name // Current Quantity // New Quantity // Update /// //////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// // 1 // Shoes // 10 // 12 // Update Quantity // //////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// // 2 // T-shirts // 5 // 8 // Update Quantity // //////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// // 3 // Watches // 4 // 2 // Update Quantity // //////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// The first 3 columns are populated by the database and New Quantity by the user. As soon as the user is done with the new quantity he/she presses "Update Quantity" to update the database. Below is the jQuery code i use: $(document).ready(function(){ $('#updatebtn').click(function(){ //i use this value to find the exact entry in the database var id = $('#updatebtn').attr('value'); var quantity_selected = $('select#quantity option:selected').attr('value'); $.ajax({ type: "POST", url: "js/ajax/updatequantity.php", data: {id: id, new_quantity: quantity_selected} }); //this is for testing alert('ok'); }); });The updatequantity.php script just takes the new quantity and the row of the entry and updates the value. My problem is: If i press the "Update Quantity" of the item "Shoes", i see the pop-up "ok" and the quantity is updated. But when i try to do the same for the 2 other items (T-shirts and watches), i get nothing. Does my js script has trouble to differentiate between the "Update Quantity" buttons? Is there another approach? ps: i am doing this using wamp on my localhost Thanks in advance. Hey.
So the issue I'm having is consecutive loops on semi-large arrays, over and over. Consider this array:
$firstArray = array( 'row1' => array( 'dates' => array( '2014-01-01' => array('key1' => 'value1', 'key2' => 'value2', 'key3' => 'value3', 'key4' => 'value4', 'key5' => 'value5', 'key6' => 'value6', 'key7' => 'value7', 'key8' => 'value8', 'key9' => 'value9', 'key10' => 'value10'), '2014-01-02' => array('key1' => 'value1', 'key2' => 'value2', 'key3' => 'value3', 'key4' => 'value4', 'key5' => 'value5', 'key6' => 'value6', 'key7' => 'value7', 'key8' => 'value8', 'key9' => 'value9', 'key10' => 'value10'), '2014-01-03' => array('key1' => 'value1', 'key2' => 'value2', 'key3' => 'value3', 'key4' => 'value4', 'key5' => 'value5', 'key6' => 'value6', 'key7' => 'value7', 'key8' => 'value8', 'key9' => 'value9', 'key10' => 'value10'), '2014-01-04' => array('key1' => 'value1', 'key2' => 'value2', 'key3' => 'value3', 'key4' => 'value4', 'key5' => 'value5', 'key6' => 'value6', 'key7' => 'value7', 'key8' => 'value8', 'key9' => 'value9', 'key10' => 'value10'), '2014-01-05' => array('key1' => 'value1', 'key2' => 'value2', 'key3' => 'value3', 'key4' => 'value4', 'key5' => 'value5', 'key6' => 'value6', 'key7' => 'value7', 'key8' => 'value8', 'key9' => 'value9', 'key10' => 'value10'), '2014-01-06' => array('key1' => 'value1', 'key2' => 'value2', 'key3' => 'value3', 'key4' => 'value4', 'key5' => 'value5', 'key6' => 'value6', 'key7' => 'value7', 'key8' => 'value8', 'key9' => 'value9', 'key10' => 'value10'), '2014-01-07' => array('key1' => 'value1', 'key2' => 'value2', 'key3' => 'value3', 'key4' => 'value4', 'key5' => 'value5', 'key6' => 'value6', 'key7' => 'value7', 'key8' => 'value8', 'key9' => 'value9', 'key10' => 'value10'), ) ), 'row2' => array( 'dates' => array( '2014-02-01' => array('key1' => 'value1', 'key2' => 'value2', 'key3' => 'value3', 'key4' => 'value4', 'key5' => 'value5', 'key6' => 'value6', 'key7' => 'value7', 'key8' => 'value8', 'key9' => 'value9', 'key10' => 'value10'), '2014-02-02' => array('key1' => 'value1', 'key2' => 'value2', 'key3' => 'value3', 'key4' => 'value4', 'key5' => 'value5', 'key6' => 'value6', 'key7' => 'value7', 'key8' => 'value8', 'key9' => 'value9', 'key10' => 'value10'), '2014-02-03' => array('key1' => 'value1', 'key2' => 'value2', 'key3' => 'value3', 'key4' => 'value4', 'key5' => 'value5', 'key6' => 'value6', 'key7' => 'value7', 'key8' => 'value8', 'key9' => 'value9', 'key10' => 'value10'), '2014-02-04' => array('key1' => 'value1', 'key2' => 'value2', 'key3' => 'value3', 'key4' => 'value4', 'key5' => 'value5', 'key6' => 'value6', 'key7' => 'value7', 'key8' => 'value8', 'key9' => 'value9', 'key10' => 'value10'), '2014-02-05' => array('key1' => 'value1', 'key2' => 'value2', 'key3' => 'value3', 'key4' => 'value4', 'key5' => 'value5', 'key6' => 'value6', 'key7' => 'value7', 'key8' => 'value8', 'key9' => 'value9', 'key10' => 'value10'), '2014-02-06' => array('key1' => 'value1', 'key2' => 'value2', 'key3' => 'value3', 'key4' => 'value4', 'key5' => 'value5', 'key6' => 'value6', 'key7' => 'value7', 'key8' => 'value8', 'key9' => 'value9', 'key10' => 'value10'), '2014-02-07' => array('key1' => 'value1', 'key2' => 'value2', 'key3' => 'value3', 'key4' => 'value4', 'key5' => 'value5', 'key6' => 'value6', 'key7' => 'value7', 'key8' => 'value8', 'key9' => 'value9', 'key10' => 'value10'), '2014-02-08' => array('key1' => 'value1', 'key2' => 'value2', 'key3' => 'value3', 'key4' => 'value4', 'key5' => 'value5', 'key6' => 'value6', 'key7' => 'value7', 'key8' => 'value8', 'key9' => 'value9', 'key10' => 'value10'), '2014-02-09' => array('key1' => 'value1', 'key2' => 'value2', 'key3' => 'value3', 'key4' => 'value4', 'key5' => 'value5', 'key6' => 'value6', 'key7' => 'value7', 'key8' => 'value8', 'key9' => 'value9', 'key10' => 'value10'), ) ) );Originally the data comes from ~2-3 database tables, of course. But to ilustrate the point, this is how the main array looks like. This array usually contains anywhere between 10-50 rows, each row containing at least 10 dates, with 10 key/values each. And after setting up all the data, it needs to be processed. Currently this is how a friend of mine did it.. $placeDataHere = array(); foreach($firstArray as $key => $dates) { foreach($dates as $date => $values) { foreach($values as $key => $value) { $placeDataHere['DV_' . $date]['SM_' . $key] = 'KS_' . $value; //Followed by another ~50-70 lines of processing the 3 loop's data.. ... ... .... .... .... .... .... .... } } }Obviously this isn't good practise, but we can't seem to figure out a better way of doing it, since both the data and the loops are horribly nested. This loop and setup of $firstArray is run anywhere between 10-20 times/request, due to amount of users we wish to process. So, the result is that this code can take up to over 2-3 minutes to complete, which isn't really optimal performance. In short my question is, are there any better methods of handling this with the data setup we currently have? Below is my output on the browser: Student: Kevin Smith (u0867587) Course: INFO101 - Bsc Information Communication Technology Course Mark 70 Grade Year: 3 Module: CHI2550 - Modern Database Applications Module Mark: 41 Mark Percentage: 68 Grade: B Session: AAB Session Mark: 72 Session Weight Contribution 20% Session: AAE Session Mark: 67 Session Weight Contribution 40% Module: CHI2513 - Systems Strategy Module Mark: 31 Mark Percentage: 62 Grade: B Session: AAD Session Mark: 61 Session Weight Contribution 50% Now where it says course mark above it says 70. This is incorrect as it should be 65 (The average between the module marks percentage should be 65 in the example above) but for some stange reason I can get the answer 65. I have a variable called $courseMark and that does the calculation. Now if the $courseMark is echo outside the where loop, then it will equal 65 but if it is put in while loop where I want the variable to be displayed, then it adds up to 70. Why does it do this. Below is the code: Code: [Select] $sessionMark = 0; $sessionWeight = 0; $courseMark = 0; $output = ""; $studentId = false; $courseId = false; $moduleId = false; while ($row = mysql_fetch_array($result)) { $sessionMark += round($row['Mark'] / 100 * $row['SessionWeight']); $sessionWeight += ($row['SessionWeight']); $courseMark = ($sessionMark / $sessionWeight * 100); if($studentId != $row['StudentUsername']) { //Student has changed $studentId = $row['StudentUsername']; $output .= "<p><strong>Student:</strong> {$row['StudentForename']} {$row['StudentSurname']} ({$row['StudentUsername']})\n"; } if($courseId != $row['CourseId']) { //Course has changed $courseId = $row['CourseId']; $output .= "<br><strong>Course:</strong> {$row['CourseId']} - {$row['CourseName']} <strong>Course Mark</strong>" round($courseMark) "<strong>Grade</strong> <br><strong>Year:</strong> {$row['Year']}</p>\n"; } if($moduleId != $row['ModuleId']) { //Module has changed if(isset($sessionsAry)) //Don't run function for first record { //Get output for last module and sessions $output .= outputModule($moduleId, $moduleName, $sessionsAry); } //Reset sessions data array and Set values for new module $sessionsAry = array(); $moduleId = $row['ModuleId']; $moduleName = $row['ModuleName']; } //Add session data to array for current module $sessionsAry[] = array('SessionId'=>$row['SessionId'], 'Mark'=>$row['Mark'], 'SessionWeight'=>$row['SessionWeight']); } //Get output for last module $output .= outputModule($moduleId, $moduleName, $sessionsAry); //Display the output echo $output; I think the problem is that it is outputting the answer of the calculation only for the first session mark. How in the while loop can I do it so it doesn't display it for the first mark only but for all the session marks so that it ends up showing the correct answer 65 and not 72? Hey guys, Got another question im hoping someone can help me with. I have a foreach loop (for use in a mysql query): foreach ($interests as $interest) { $query .= "($id, $interest), "; } problem is i do not want the comma(,) in the last loop. Is there some kinda of function i can use so it does not insert it on last loop? Or should i just use a for loop with a nested if loop? something like ; for($i=0; $i < count($interests); $i++){ $query .= "($id, '$interests[$i]')"; if($i + 1 < count($interests)) { $query .= ", "; } } Cheers guys I am working to echo the results in a while or for loop... Both of my sample codes work, but the results are wrong! The while loop ONLY echos a result IF the first record in the postings table matches the id passed (does not display a result unless the first record has a match) The if loop displays ALL listings with the same name (counts them all) so there are no unique listings! <?php $posts_by_city_sql = "SELECT * FROM postings WHERE id='$_GET[id]'"; $posts_by_city_results = (mysqli_query($cxn, $posts_by_city_sql)) or die("Was not able to grab the Postings!"); /* While Loop */ while($posts_by_city_row = mysqli_fetch_array($posts_by_city_results)) { echo "<li><a href='posting_details.php?id=$posts_by_city_row[id]'>$posts_by_city_row[title]</a></li>"; } /* For Loop */ $posts_by_city_row = mysqli_fetch_array($posts_by_city_results); for ($i=0; $i<sizeof($posts_by_city_row); $i++) { echo "<li><a href='posting_details.php?id=$posts_by_city_row[id]'>$posts_by_city_row[title]</a></li>"; } ?> Results with for loop (there are 7 total unique book names, but it's just counting the first match on id 7 times like below): AJAX for Beginners AJAX for Beginners AJAX for Beginners AJAX for Beginners AJAX for Beginners AJAX for Beginners AJAX for Beginners AJAX for Beginners Good Evening - I am in the process of trying to call back a list of categories and sub categories using a WHILE LOOP inside of a WHILE LOOP. It works on a different part of the site within the admin panel but not here. Here it only calls one sub category and moves on to the next parent category instead of finishing the loop and pulling all sub categories out... // CATEGORIES $query = "SELECT * FROM cat"; $result = mysql_query($query); while($row = mysql_fetch_array($result, MYSQL_ASSOC)) { $catid = $row['id']; $catname = $row['name']; $output .= "<li class=\"level0 nav-2 parent\" onmouseover=\"toggleMenu(this,1)\" onmouseout=\"toggleMenu(this,0)\"> <a href=\"product.php?cat=$catid\"> <span>$catname</span> </a>\n"; $querynav = "SELECT * FROM subcat WHERE pid = '$catid'"; $resultnav = mysql_query($querynav); while($array = mysql_fetch_array($resultnav, MYSQL_ASSOC)) { $subcatid = $row['id']; $subcatname = $row['name']; $output .= "<ul class=\"level0\"> <li class=\"level1 nav-2-1 first\"> <a href=\"product.php?cat=$catid&subid=$subcatid\"> <span>$subcatname</span> </a> </li> </ul> </li>"; } } hey guys i just got done integrating a gallery script into my log in. it works great however i am trying to find out how to make it so only the logged in user can view there pics and not anyone else currently i have my table set up like this ID USERNAME TIMESTAMP CAPTION is there any way possible to make the images uploaded to the /gallery/ folder viewable by the logged in user and no one else Hi guys, I am geeting images from a query but can not figure out how to show these images in a css gallery, I have found links of css gallery but dont know how to embed it or tell css to work with php, i am a newbie and cant figure it out this is my php code where i get the images listed echo '<table width="40">'; $images=mysql_query("SELECT * FROM img WHERE refimage='$ref'"); while($row = mysql_fetch_array($images)) { $image=$row['image']; $thumb=$row['thumb']; // echo "<a href='$image' rel='lightbox[roadtrip]'><img src= '$thumb' width='60' height='40' alt='$title'>"; echo "<img src= '$thumb' width='60' height='40' alt='$title'>"; } but if i want to have a css gallery like http://www.cssplay.co.uk/menu/vertical-slide.html which the css and html code is as below: <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Strict//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-strict.dtd"> <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" xml:lang="en"> <head> <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=UTF-8" /> <title> Stu Nicholls | CSSplay | A Vertical Scrolling Photograph Gallery</title> <meta name="Author" content="Stu Nicholls" /> <meta name="Keywords" content= "cssplay, css, play, Cascading, Style, Sheets, experiments, demonstrations, gallery, galleries, photo, albums, slide, show, scrolling, vertical " /> <meta name="Description" content="CSS - Cutting edge Cascading Style Sheets. I'm a bit of a PHP noob, but not even a teacher at school could help me. What I need is something like this page: http://marcandshawn.glrdmd.eu/ian/designers2.php?d=2 So when you click on a thumbnail, you see the bigger image above it, but stay on the same page. My code: Code: [Select] <?php include('connection.php'); $query="SELECT * FROM person"; $result=mysql_query($query); ?> ^ reestablishing connections. some html after that. and for the chosen main image: Code: [Select] <?php while($row = mysql_fetch_array( $result )) { echo "<img src='uploads/$row[image1]' style='max-width:300px;'/>"; } ?> ^ doesn't work. row[image1] contains the images. Code: [Select] <?php { while($row = mysql_fetch_array( $result )){ echo "<a href='index.php?id=$row[id]' style='width:100px; height:100px;'/><img src='uploads/$row[thumb]' style='width:125px; height:90px; border:0px;' /></a>"; } } ?> Supposed thumbnails. Do you know whats the best way to embed this css to the php query i have? thanks in advance guys. Hi All, I am looking for a php script that i can use to create a php image gallery for a client. The script needs to allow the client to upload an image (any image type) jpg,gif,png etc and then a thumbnail needs to be created.So there will be two images the original and the thumbnail which should be stored in separate directories. I know that this has been done before and i did some google searches ,but cant find anything that i need. Thanks in advance. Kind Regards, Nathan Hi I don't know if this is the right section but I would like to have my gallery open up in the content section. For example I have a page which has the gallery links on the navigation side and I want it to open in the content side. I have only been able to open it up in a new page. I'm using php to get the images. Here is my default.php code: Code: [Select] <head> <title><?php echo $this->get_title(); ?></title> <meta name="Description" content="<?php echo $this->get_description(); ?>" /> <meta name="Keywords" content="<?php echo $this->get_keywords(); ?>" /> <title>Welcome to the Framework</title> <?php $this->_page->add_javascript('/vendor/lightbox/js/jquery.lightbox-0.5.min.js'); $this->_page->add_stylesheet('/vendor/lightbox/css/jquery.lightbox-0.5.css'); $this->_page->add_stylesheet('/css/default.css'); echo $this->page('stylesheets'); echo $this->page('javascripts'); ?> </head> <body> <div id="container"> <div id="banner"> <h1> Welcome to the Grada djeri </h1> </div> <div id="nav"> <?php echo $this->page('view'); ?> </div> <div id="content"> <?php ?> </div> <div id="footer"> <a href="/pages/about_me">About Me</a> <a href="/pages/contacts">Contacts</a> <a href="/pages/home">Home</a> </div> </div> </body> </html> and here is my home.php Code: [Select] <!-- <h2>This is the homepage</h2>--> <?php //echo $this->_params['item']['content']; // how to loop through an images and gallery name and put it into a list foreach ($this->_params['list'] as $gallery ){ $gallery_name = $gallery['name']; $image = $gallery['image']; echo "<table>"; echo "<tr>"; echo "<td>"; echo "<a href=/galleries/view/".$gallery['id']."><img src='/image.php?path=$image&h=50&w=50'></a>"; echo "</td>"; echo "</tr>"; echo "</table>"; } ?> how to create php gallery with pagination and also add new images that control by admin
Hello, I am trying to make a picture gallery for my website but i am having a problem with the size of the pictures. When i go to the picture gallery i want to see the pictures that i have stored in the pictures file, in a small scale and not in full resolution. My problem is that i have managed to create this picture gallery but i have failed in seeing the pictures in a small scale. So when i go to the picture gallery i see all of my pictures in full resolution. Imagine how that is. The code i use is: Quote <?php $pics= ("pics/"); $cols= 4; if ($handle = opendir($pics)) { while (FALSE !== ($file= readdir($handle))) { if ($file != "." && $file != ".." && $file != rtrim($pics, "/")) { $files[]=$file; } } closedir($handle); } $colsCtr= 0; echo '<table width="100%" cellspacing="10"><tr>'; foreach($files as $file) { if ($colsCtr%$cols == 0) echo '</tr><tr><td colspan="2"><hr /></td></tr><tr>'; echo '<td align="center"><a href="' . $pics . $file . '"><img src="' . $pics . $file . '" /></a></td>'; $colsCtr++; } echo '</table>' . "\r\n"; ?> Can some one please tell me what is wrong with the code? Can you please tell me what to add or what to remove so that this works? Please not that i want to see the pictures at small scale first and when i click on each picture see the full resolution. Thanks in advance. This topic has been moved to PHP Freelancing. http://www.phpfreaks.com/forums/index.php?topic=342417.0 My gallery is making thumbs fine and listing them aswell.
