I have just set up MAMP on my new MacBook Pro and I am having trouble getting my MySQL connection working.

When I use the following code:

I get this error: Failed to connect to MySQL: () Access denied for user 'application'@'localhost' (using password: YES)

However if I use the old mysql_connect() function, it doesnt throw back any errors?!

Any ideas?

Hi,

I found a tutorial in building a poll, however it detects IP, so people can't vote multiple times, so I dissected the code into sections while removing the IP blocking, while still inserting the IP address into the database, the problem is that I get:

Access denied for user 'ODBC'@'localhost'

for the second page, I don't know where I went wrong, could anyone help me? I also attached the code and .sql file so that people can hack it and check where it got wrong.

My dad loves these frozen cheeseburgers from meijer so I was gonna write a little script I can run in cron that will check Meijer's website and txt or email or something if they go on sale.

Whenever I run the below script I get an Access Denied response from the server instead of the html for the cheesburger page.

I'm sure I just need a CURL option or something.

Hi everyone! I'm getting the error "Access denied for user ''@'localhost' to database 'crystalair'" (crystalair is the name of my database) whenever I submit my form which inserts a new row to the database table "order". The same happens when I try to retrieve data from the table using select query.

However, I can successfully perform operations (select, insert) in my other pages which involves another database table "user". If this is a connection error, how can I successfully perform operations with another table? Also, my connection query does not return an error. I have also checked to make sure my user has been granted "All Privileges" in the phpmyadmin. I've run out of ideas. Can you please help? Thanks a lot.

Hi,

I am getting frustrated beyond belief at the moment with trying to get a very simple script to run, I am using PHP 5.3.3 and MySQL 5.1 on a Win2k8 server with IIS7.5. Basically my script is connecting to a local database, running a single select query, returning those rows and building up a string from them.

The problem is that I am receiving complete BS responses from PHP that the access is denied for the user being specified. This is complete rubbish since the user can connect via mysql, sqlyog, ASP.NET MVC without issue but for some bizarre reason it is not working via PHP.

I am trying to use the View Model Design Pattern in my application

The problem is that it is the first time I use it and I am a beginner.

I've tried to use this http://www.bambalam.se/bamcompile/ .. but I cant get curl to work using the option to set the extension.. I need it to be able to sign into myspace or facebook with curl when it is in an exe.. everything else works fine with bambalam, everything but curl and connecting to an mysql db, I dont need to have mysql support, only curl.. what would be the easiest way to make this happen?

btw the exe should just open a CLI and run the script, thanks

Hi,

So i have HTML table which i'm attempting to turn into executable SQL code which i can then insert into a SQL database table.

I'm wondering if anyone has any good ideas for the best way to get this done?

I need to extract the data from each of the <tr bgcolor="#EEEEEE">, scrape the text within each <td></td> and then format it in sql.

so far i have removed the html not required and created an array by exploding "<tr bgcolor="#EEEEEE">", however, its creating an empty element in the first array index [0], to fix this i have tried $players = array_shift($players); however it removed everything from the array.

next i was thinking i would need to remove all html within each array element and add a comma to the end, then i would need to compress it all back together again?

would this be the best way to do this?

Can I Create An Executable Link From A Value In An Output Table?

In this output table, I would like to be able to click on any number in the ama row, add .html to that value and then execute the link.

Example: If the ama number in row 3 is 890543, add .html to the number = 890543.html, then click on it to link to that web page.

Hi. I'm trying to make my folder management tool able to remove stuff. Problem is, I get permission denied. I've checked the NFTS perms for the share and for the folder. It's also not read only. I logged into my other workstation as the service account the web server is using and opened a DOS window and did "rd \\server\share\folder" and it removed it no problem. It just fails in PHP. Any idea what I should be looking at? Thanks!

I want to delete an image file from a folder using unlink. The code is :

The entries in the database have been deleted but only the image corresponds to that entry do not get deleted. The following warning comes up :

Warning: unlink(upload/movies/) [function.unlink]: Permission denied in C:\wamp\www\ContentPanel\deletemovies.php on line 23

I have uploaded the files using $_FILES server variable and move_uploaded_file function. I am running this script on windows 7.
Please Help.

I am getting this error Warning: ftp_put() [function.ftp-put]: Can't open that file: Permission denied in /home/chris/public_html/site-name/wp-content/setup.php on line 62

Hi,

I am using cpanel, where i am want to run a php file, to delete the old records,

i used cronjob in cpanel to do this.

In time columns i have made : * * * * * to execute each and every minute the script..

In the command textbox i have made: /home/server25/public_html/auto_cancel.php

in the email box: admin_email@gmail.com

I am getting Permission denied to my email address:
The error report am getting is :

/bin/sh: /home/server25/public_html/auto_cancel.php: Permission denied

Please help me to solve this.

Hmm, hello everyone, i'm running my php in an ubuntu server and I'm trying to run a command using exec (i.e. 'echo 1 > /var/www/test.txt') but I always get a permission denied issue, although i've already changed the permissions to 777 (read-write-execute)

Any solution?
