PHP - Html Submit And Export Info To Notepad

I make a php application , it has a lot of forms. I want to avoid someones post like ?> or </html> .
How can i make it.

I am learning PHP now, so pardon my silly question which I am not able to resolve from a week. I have created a simple web form where in I display the values entered by a user.

When I click on the submit button, I just get a blank page without any values from the form. Can anyone please let me know what am I missing?

Set up:
I am using Netbeans with PHP bundle added on to it. When i run only a simple php proj it displays that page in localhost/nameofproj, but when I run a php file along with a jsp file, it runs in localhost:8080/nameofproj.  Is this the reason(localhost:8080 instead of just localhost ) for showing a blank page, not even a simple echo stmt, when i click on submit?
I even re installed netbeans, still no luck.

I'll start by saying that I am a very novice php programmer. But I am working on a file storage website, and I have it working and running properly, what you see here is on a new page called index2.php (Thought you might need to know) and full working version can be found here, http://www.jstpreview.net84.net now want I want the site to do is automatically generate a new .php or .html page once the user presses the "submit" button, I've looked through many tutorials to figure this out but anything I have tried so far didn't work. So anyways, the page generated should be named the name of the file uploaded plus the extension. I also want this page to be generated using a pre-uploaded template but if you look at the code, you will see that I havn't implemented that part yet.

I would greatly appreciate it if someone can point out and fix the errors in this code, but it would be even more appreciated if someone could provide a working source code of auto-generation of pages on form submit.

Hi Guys, I am fairly new to PHP, and I recently changed my whole site to use PHP sessions, which worked fine.
Then I added PHP parts in my pages that display different menu choices depending on if a PHP session exists. This also works fine, until I found that any HTML/PHP pages that have form/submits no longer work, and I get kicked back to the index.php

After slow backtracking, I removed new parts, and found the forms started working again if I removed the PHP part that chooses which JavaScript file to reference, as follows from contact.php

I tried changing the echo ".." to use single quotes ' '  instead, but then it doesn't work at all then with a form or no form on the page. I assume I am doing something wrong, but I can't find any resources that give me a definitive way of referencing Javascript files.  What freaked me out was only the ones with forms were an issue.
I am using <?php session_start(); ?> at the beginning of every page (before any output). Other PHP code on the page is working fine. Only the above part seems to be the problem, and works too, as long as I don't submit a form.

- Could it be more weirder :-)

- I tried also to find a workaround, but it would mean having PHP inside my JavaScript file, but I am not sure it would work, since JS is client side, and PHP server...  Essentially, I just want to run certain JS menus depending if the person is logged in or not.

Hi all!!! I could really use some help. I'm burning my brain out trying to figure out the easiest way to go about this.
Here is what I am trying to do (in a nutshell) so I could really use full coding examples.

I need to create a text area with simple formatting tools such as Bold, Italics, Underline, Bullets, and Numbering.
After formatting the text with only those available formatting tools, everything in the text area needs to be converted into html tags.
After the conversion, the HTML data that is create is submitted into a single field into a SQL database.


Any help will be greatly appreciated!!!

I have a page that contains a List box containing a list of categories taken from a mysql database, 4 iframe elements and 4 submit button (code to follow) When an item is selected from the List box the onchange event submits the page to jobs.php and loads it into the joblist iframe. Once the iframe is loaded and visible it makes the "Add Job To Category" submit button visible. This all works great When I click the "Add Job To Category" Submit button it loads Jobnew.php into the jobed iframe this is working but I can not seem to figure out how to pass the selected item from the List box using this submit button I hope I am clear in my question if not please advise any help is very much appreciated.... I'm new to php and sql as i learn from online examples  .

Though there are lots of links and answers out there related to my post but none reflects what i need. You guys my only hope.

What i have:

3 tables : each has its own number of fields (tbl1=14 ,tbl2=9,tbl3=9). There is a field in each tables that can be related (FamilyField).

What i need:

export to csv all the records from all 3 tables which relates to search criteria (by user) based on a field (MembershipField) which the data may vary from other tables.

pseudo code:

I have tried all the code i can find to export from 1 table to csv, and i manage to use UNION to get output from 3 tables but unable to export
as the error message was "incorrect usage of UNION and INTO.

is this possible? or any workaround?

I have tried these PDF generators:

1. TCPDF- doesn't support css class. Styles will work if inline.
2. DOMPDF - Supports CSS class. Doesn't have Unicode support. Already tried load_font to convert ttf to amf but still Chinese char are not displayed properly.
- Also tried (installed) PDFlib, watermark appears in pdf but characters are not displayed properly.

Any suggestion in PDF generator that can do the functionality of TCPDF and DOMPDF? BTW i'm using xampp.

I need to write a cron job that will sync 2 databases.
Is there a quick way to write an export from one database for import into another?
Or do i manually have to write the select statements per table, format them as insert ignore strings, then execute them on the other database?

I created this php class which recieves an sql query from flash and then produces a csv file for download. The code in its current form produces a csv file on the server. However, I want it to save on the client computer with a 'Save As' dialog box. I am testing on localhost.

Am having a total brain melt down on a php/mysql export script. I've a table wp_bp_xprofile_data with this sort of layout:
ID
field_id
user_id
value

It shows data like so:

Hello All,

I am currently working on export to pdf, below is the code, i am able to see the data is getting retrieved from mysql table. I am having 2 issue:

1. When data is getting retrieved one column is on left corner it's now showing the data as it's Sno it gets hidden from left corner.

2. Second issue when i click on the link it's just adding a # tag on the url nothing else. 

 

Please guide me to fix the code.

I have this code that is supposed to export the results of this query into a CSV. When I run the code in Firefox, it works perfectly. The only browser that it doesn't work in is IE. It opens an HTML page with the results on the page instead of prompting to download the CSV. Can anyone help me out?
