PHP - From Plain-text To Mysql-db: How To Store A Triple / Array?

I have a php script that I am trying to run ( I dindt write it) but the index.php file loads basically all of the php file in plain text instead of running it. Any sugguestions? PHP is isntalled since other php scripts work.   Thanks

hi i am trying to make a payroll calculator script that takes employee info, calculates pay, displays submitted info in a table, stores info in an array, and updates the array when new info is submitted. i have most of these accomplished, i am having trouble with the "store into an array, and update the array when new info is submitted" parts of the project. i am still not very fluent in php so there may be easier ways to achieve what i have so far. any pointers would be a great help, this part has got me stumped.

I am trying to solve the following:

I'm pulling in JSON data, decoding it to a array which I write to a database. However in the array are social security numbers that I don't want to store (privacyregulations). So I need to check if a row has a social security number and if it has one I want to replace it with 'anonymized'.

I have got it to work successfully on a local Xampp test environment using the following script (extract off course):

This leads to a filled table where the ssn's are filled with 'anonymized' if they exist in the array and empty if it does not exist for that row. This is exactly what I want ;-).

However, when I run the same script on a Lamp production environment (lamp stack on an Azure server) it does not work. Then the scripts results in totally ignoring the whole row that contains a ssn??

Hope someone can help to get this working on my production environment as well.

Hello all,

I have an error handler that I need to append messages to (First name not right, Last name not right, etc)

I'm using a session array to handle all error messages titled GORB.

How come this code won't work?


$_SESSION['GORB']['message'][] = "First name wrong";
$_SESSION['GORB']['message'][] = "Last name wrong";


How can I get it to work? I already have the handler output written and functioning fine, I just need to get it to loop over an array of errors instead of just one.

I want to store...

- questionID
- questionNo
- questionText

...in one array?

How do I do that?!

hello, um i got a form that stored an array of variables upon users clicks.
it submits to another page fine as an array and i can print them using

i'm trying to get all the results from a query search into an array and them have another query search the results from that array againts a different table to get the right results.

I am using wampserver 2.2 on window 7 64 bit machine. I am using jpegcam to take snapshots and it works fine. I make upload folder within jpegcam/htdocs/upload to store snapshots. All works  fine but how can i store uploaded images into mysql. I  also want  to retrieve image from mysql and print in php page.
The problem is jpegcam used java script in form in which POST method and type file was not used. I am already done task like upload images to folder and store it into mysql using POST an $_FILES varibales .

When I do $db_match = key($result); I get 0 each time and when I do: 

$db_match = array_search ( $order[ 'job_number' ], array_column ( $result, 'job_number' ) ) !== false && array_search ( $order[ 'line_item' ], array_column ( $result, 'line_item' ) ) !== false;

I get 1 each time...which I assume is the number of matches which meet that criteria instead of the array key I found a match on.

I am a new programmer and i am building a new website. I would like to give me your advice for the following problem:

I want to build a webpage, in which there will be a <div id="book-content"> ...............</div> part. Inside this div i would like
to  dynamically display pages from a book. Each page will have text, scripting code blocks, blocks with the output of each scripting code, and images.

There will be a bar on the left of the webpage in which the user can select which page of the book he wants to load.

Also, if i store the code to a file and then include it, i will have too may files(equal to the book's number of pages etc 100).

Now the part which I can't get to work is when I'm trying to store the new values in my database. When I click the submit button I clear my database of any row that is related to the currently loggedin user and I want to store his new preferences (checked cheboxes). I've read that only the cheked checkboxes' values are POSTed so I did this (preferances_check.php)

But it is not working, nothing gets written in my table Could someone please enlighten me on this? Thnks!
