PHP - Need A Jquery Function To Remove A Css Class Based Upon Browser Width

Been googling this for hours now and I can't find something that doesn't give a parse error.

I found this thread: http://www.phpfreaks.com/forums/index.php?topic=160855 ..and tried to work around the answer but with no luck.

All I really want to do is something like this:

I want the class to change to another one if the user see the table cell within a specific hour of the day.

I need to call usort from a class function, and I'm puzzled about how to define the comparison function.

I've tried to define the comparison function in the same class, but I can't get usort to call it. I found one hint that it will work if I make the comparison function static, but I tried that, and it didn't work for me.

If I define the comparison function outside the class, it won't have access to object properties that it needs to operate.

The only solution I can think of is to define the comparison function outside the class and put the object properties it needs in globals. Is there a cleaner way to do this?

I'm trying to get a working php script that will redirect visitors based on a number of variables. I first want to check the country the visitor is from, and redirect based on the user's country ip address.

If visitor is not from the US, then go to google.com (for example)... but only after also checking some other variables. I want to also redirect any user (including US visitors) who are using a mobile device browser/cell phone, and redirect visitors coming from a Linux box.

I'm not sure how to add those as if/else statement. Any help would be appreciated. Here's what I have so far...

So not sure how to detect and redirect Linux users, and then how to link these all together in one script so it checks all variables before sending user to destination URL.

Still very new to PHP but getting some good use out of it with includes.

I'm currently using this code to check the file name of the page and then give the corresponding anchor tag a class of active in order to style my main menu.

This is all working for most of my pages but my problem is that I now have multiple files called index.php one in the root of my site and some are in folders.

Is there any way around this issue? Can PHP check to see if its the index file in the root of the site or is there a better way. I suppose I could create a second variable in the index file in my root ie my home page and then check to say if the current page is called index and has the variable of home but how would I write this?

Hi I have a table class and functions I want to call in another function but can't get it working. Some help will be very welcome.

It seesm that the new table class is not working in this function if I pass the values to it, I have tested the class, it does get the post values I post to it so $_POST['id'] are being received as well as all the other $_POST's but the table class and find function is not working, it works fine if I don't put it in a function..

The web application should allow the user to view the items in a catalogue, add items to a shopping cart, remove items from the shopping cart, and to view the contents of the shopping cart.

Right ill try explain as best i can.
Basicly we were told to write a php script that can view a shopping cart.

The items in the catalogue should be stored as an array of objects. (The next assignment will require you to store this list of objects in a database). There should also be pages to allow the user to add, edit and delete items in the catalogue.

Thats taken from a brief.Ive spent the most of the week getting it to view a catalog and now it can add items.view the cart its added them to and remove them from the cart and return.
What im having trouble with is making the add function for the the other users or admin* to add/edit/delete.i reckoned adding and deleting wouldnt be so bad considering ive alrready done so.But im kinda stumped on how to do it.i think what the brief wanted was a seprate product add that would actully let u add another product to the cart list on the same page and then u can add that to the shopping basket etc.

Yea real stumped.if only it was through sql it would be so much handier.

I am puzzled as to how to get this code actually working, I am using some example code, I want the code to remove the data of the logged in users, at the moment it will remove all users registered in the mysql db.

$_session id knows that the user is logged into the control page, but for the code to remove the particular user logged in from the db, what exactly does this need?

I have sen this function before but can not remember what it is or how to code it. It allows you remove only defined characters from the end of the string. I am not looking to replace any occurrence anywhere in the phrase, just the end.

For example lets say I want to remove"ld!" from phrase "Hello World!" That function would return "Hello Wor"

I'm using the codeigniter mvc framework and there's an escape function to use before adding the data to the database. This function adds single quotes around the string of data. Is there any already existing php function or does anyone know how to code a function that strips ONLY the surrounding single quotes?

Hi, i got help earlier with the this code-- exploding a field and getting an array, then inserting the array into a multiselect box-- That part is easy and works fine.

Now the explode function gives an array of words with duplicate words in it:
I tried several ways most either give a blank option/value, or the array word..

this code is adapted slightly from the working original that gives the double words-- this code gives a blank, but i think its on the correct track!?

Whenever I want to use AJAX (using jQuery) I store the PHP code in a seperate file and then send an retrieve data from that file using AJAX.  However I was wondering if you can just call a PHP function.  Then it would save me having to put each function in a seperate file?

When ever I try to google this I always get it the other way round "Calling PHP from jQuery" which is now what I need.

Basically I want, When the script starts, For PHP to check if an array is empty and if it's not call a jQuery function (This would be the jQuery UI Dialog box).

If you can help me here or even post a link to a resource then I will kiss ya. No homo.
