PHP - Calling One Table Cell From Sql Database
Hi guys i have another question about my shopping cart.
I have in my sql database table called products. It consist of 4 columns (product_id, description, quantity, price).
Now on my index page, I want to call just one product from cell, which would have special price. But i don't know how to call one single product.
So my code looks like that:
<?php $sql="SELECT product_id FROM Products"; $query=mysql_query($sql); $row=mysql_fetch_array($query); ?><table > <tr><img src="Images/Image.jpg" width="380" height="300" /> </tr> <tr> <td><a href="index.php?page=index&action=add&id=<?php echo $row['product_id']?>">Add to cart</a></td> </tr> <?php ?> </table>This code display me first product but i would like to call 3 product how would i do that, so i have 6 products and i would like to call product N.3 to my index page. My code calls the first one, how would it call the third. Similar Tutorials

Trying to run this function so it displays the generated image in a table cell - Code: [Select] <?php function imgsecuregen($size = 6){ $width = 11*$size; $height = 25; $string = ""; for($i = 1; $i <= $size; $i++){ $string .= rand (0,9).""; } // for $im = ImageCreate($width, $height); $bg = imagecolorallocate($im, 102, 102, 102); // background $black = imagecolorallocate($im, 0, 255, 0); // text $grey = imagecolorallocate($im, 102, 102, 102); // border imagerectangle($im,0, 0, $width-1, $height-1, $grey); imagestring($im, 5, $size, 5, $string, $black); imagepng($im); imagedestroy($im); } imgsecuregen(8); // string length ?> Works if I load it directly, but not in a <td>. Code: [Select] mysql_query("SELECT $field FROM iNettuts WHERE user_id='1'") or die (mysql_error()); And I have a table named iNettuts.... in my database, my db is called "forum" But I get the error... {"1":{"id":1,"username":"jeremia"},"2":{"id":2,"username":"Ernest"}} Edited March 24 by mahenda I have a table that has a cell that I've made editable:
echo "<td contenteditable='true'>" . $row['Comments'] . "</td>";Which is cool I guess, but it doesn't go anywhere from there. I'd like to make it so that upon changing, it links back to an SQL UPDATE query that I define. Is this possible through some sort of onChange function? Hi all! First off, sorry if this question is a completely dumb one but i'm really new to PHP. I'll paste the code to start with... function getReasons ($id) { global $link; $rst = mysql_query('SELECT r.name as reason FROM entries_feedback_comments as f LEFT JOIN reasons as r ON r.id = f.reason_id WHERE f.feedback_id ='. $id, $link); while ($row = mysql_fetch_assoc($rst)) { echo $row['reason']; } } later on in the code.... inside a table structure i do this... echo '<tr class="' . ($y?'even':'odd') . '">'; echo '<td colspan="10" class="freetext">'.getReasons($row['id']).'</td>'; echo '</tr>'; echo '<tr class="' . ($y?'even':'odd') . '">'; echo '<td colspan="10" class="freetext">'.$row["freetype"].'</td>'; echo '</tr>'; (I have left put the "freetype" bit of code in to show you that it works with this row but not with the function). Basically, what I see is the result of the function outside of the table itself rather than in the table row. Is there a reason for this? Does a function have to be put in specific places in the code? Thank you for your help. Sam The subject could be a bit vague, but my problem is simple. (I think so) So I made a php test site that is quite similar to a forum. Where you see a title or a subject and when you click on it you will see more details about that subject. I made my database and script for inserting data into my mySQL database. I also did my output aswell, so every topic is posted on a webpage "archive" where you can see all the subjects. But now I want to see the full details of that type of subject by clicking on it. I have no idea how to make that happen googled it but didn't find any results...just wondering if it's even possible to do that. I'm a new guy here! This topic has been moved to JavaScript Help. http://www.phpfreaks.com/forums/index.php?topic=355480.0 I am having a problem trying to show if cell is empty echo one thing if empty and starttime if there is one: Code: [Select] if(isset($rown['starttime'])) { echo "Add Day"; } else { echo $rown['starttime']; } This topic has been moved to Third Party PHP Scripts. http://www.phpfreaks.com/forums/index.php?topic=314271.0 I am trying to insert data from a mysql in a table. I have been searching around and not managed to find anything of use. Any help would be appreciated. Image name will come from database. It can be displayed in divs or table cells. When I echo out my variable in the php file it works fine but when I put the variable in a table cell it doesn't echo out. I have a stdClass Object array with nested User arrays as a value that I would like to display in a table cell. I am struggling and have exhausted a lot of time. I am hoping to get a shove in the right direction if possible. The image below will show what I am trying to do.
$someArray = json_decode($token_result); foreach ($someArray as $key => $value) { $combined[] = "<tr><td>" . $value->customer . "</td><td>" . $value->city . '</td> <td>' . $value->state . "</td><td>" . $value->zipcode . '</td> <td>' . $value->totalUsers . "</td><td>" . $value->totalActiveUsers . "</td><td>" . $value->totalInActiveUsers . '</td><td> <a href="">' . $value->users . "</a></td></tr>"; } foreach ($combined as $value) { print $value; } Here is what my Array and Objects look like Array ( [0] => stdClass Object ( [customer] => SWSH [city] => Thomasville [state] => GA [zipcode] => 31792 [totalUsers] => 6 [totalActiveUsers] => 6 [totalInActiveUsers] => 0 [users] => Array ( [0] => stdClass Object ( [firstName] => xxx [lastName] => xxx [phoneNumber] => [userName] => cb_igwrth@xxx.com [createdBy] => [isActive] => 1 ) [1] => stdClass Object ( [firstName] => Dan [lastName] => Stewart [phoneNumber] => +11111111111 [userName] => dan.sxx@xxx.ga.gov [createdBy] => kwilliams@xxx.com [isActive] => 1 ) ) ) [1] => stdClass Object ( [customer] => xxxx [city] => Carver [state] => MA [zipcode] => 02330 [totalUsers] => 3 [totalActiveUsers] => 3 [totalInActiveUsers] => 0 [users] => Array ( [0] => stdClass Object ( [firstName] => Leo [lastName] => Furtado [phoneNumber] => 781-000-0000 [userName] => LFurtado@xxx.com [createdBy] => TConger@ccccc.com [isActive] => 1 ) ) ) ) Table is attached
I have learned php coding by doing (looking for patterns and trying things) and I have hit a roadblock trying to modify a template that creates a delimited text file of products from an ecommerce site (Sunshop) for upload to google base. I have tried to search for the answer but I don't know what I don't know so I may not have put the right search terms in. So I apologize if this has been addressed in the past. The script uses case to call up the contents of specific rows of the product table which I understand but in when I want to call up the manufacturer row Sunshop uses a reference number and then a different table called manufacturers with an ID row that matches the manufacturer row numbers (that are associated with each product) and then next to it a name row which contains the actual manuracturer names. Can I put code in the case that will pull up the referenced name as opposed to just the numbers that are in the column? This is what I have now that just calls up the cells from the manufacurer row: Code: [Select] case 'mfg': $item[mfg] = $item[manufacturer]; The mfg refers to this part of the code in an array: Code: [Select] array('header' => 'manufacturer', 'value' => 'mfg'), In case it helps I will attach the full document. Thanks. Hi, My company has 240+ locations and as such some users (general managers) cover multiple sites. When I run a query to pull user information, when the user has multiple sites to his or her name, its adds the second / third sites to the next columns, rather than wrapping it inside the same table cell. It also works the opposite way, if a piece of data is missing in the database and is blank, its pull the following columns in. Both cases mess up the table and formatting. I'm extremely new to any kind of programming and maybe this isn't the forum for this question but figured I'd give it a chance since I'm stuck. The HTML/PHP code is below: <table id="datatables-column-search-select-inputs" class="table table-striped" style="width:100%"> <thead> <tr> <th>ID</th> <th>FirstName</th> <th>LastName</th> <th>Username</th> <th>Phone #</th> <th>Location</th> <th>Title</th> <th>Role</th> <th>Actions</th> </tr> </thead> <tbody> <?php //QUERY TO SELECT ALL USERS FROM DATABASE $query = "SELECT * FROM users"; $select_users = mysqli_query($connection,$query);
// SET VARIABLE TO ARRAY FROM QUERY while($row = mysqli_fetch_assoc($select_users)) { $user_id = $row['user_id']; $user_firstname = $row['user_firstname']; $user_lastname = $row['user_lastname']; $username = $row['username']; $user_phone = $row['user_phone']; $user_image = $row['user_image']; $user_title_id = $row['user_title_id']; $user_role_id = $row['user_role_id'];
// POPULATES DATA INTO THE TABLE echo "<tr>"; echo "<td>{$user_id}</td>"; echo "<td>{$user_firstname}</td>"; echo "<td>{$user_lastname}</td>"; echo "<td>{$username}</td>"; echo "<td>{$user_phone}</td>";
//PULL SITE STATUS BASED ON SITE STATUS ID $query = "SELECT * FROM sites WHERE site_manager_id = {$user_id} "; $select_site = mysqli_query($connection, $query); while($row = mysqli_fetch_assoc($select_site)) { $site_name = $row['site_name']; echo "<td>{$site_name}</td>"; } echo "<td>{$user_title_id}</td>"; echo "<td>{$user_role_id}</td>"; echo "<td class='table-action'> <a href='#'><i class='align-middle' data-feather='edit-2'></i></a> <a href='#'><i class='align-middle' data-feather='trash'></i></a> </td>"; //echo "<td><a href='users.php?source=edit_user&p_id={$user_id}'>Edit</a></td>"; echo "</tr>"; } ?>

Good morning: This is the output of my test database table: 2011-05-30 Chevrolet Monte Carol 1975 9000 15000 James Bond's 007-1212 james@bond.com B I am setting the rocord for bond's most active movies. 2011-05-31 Dodge Stratus 2008 5000 7500 James Cagney 555-1818 jc@hollywood.com S This is not going to be the best of time's. Ain't it? Within my table I have two important fields--the record date-created field shown on the left and the (hidden) EXPIRED field--on which the UPDATE function depends. This is my code for (wherein lies the problem) UPDATING the record within my table and setting the EXPIRED field to 'Y' for filtering and easy deletion of the record(s). Code: [Select] <?php // Connect to database. include("connect.php"); // Access the database @mysql_select_db($database,$con) or die( "Unable to select database"); $result = mysql_query("SELECT * FROM Autos"); //read all records into array while($row = mysql_fetch_array($result)) //loop through array { if (1 - strcmp(date("Y-m-d"),$row['DateCreated']) == 0) //compare current date with record date and act when result is zero { mysql_query("UPDATE Autos SET Expired = 'Y' WHERE Expired == 'N'"); //if ready to expire then update table EXPIRED field } else { if ($row['BuyerSeller'] == 'B') { echo "Contact buyer below"; } elseif ($row['BuyerSeller'] == 'S') { echo "Contact seller below"; } echo "<br />"; echo $row['DateCreated'] . " " . $row['Make'] . " " . $row['Model'] . " " . $row['Year'] . " " . $row['MinPrice'] . " " . $row['MaxPrice'] . " " . $row['POC'] . " " . $row['POCPhone'] . " " . $row['POCEmail'] . " " . $row['Notes']; echo "<br />"; } } mysql_close($con) ?> Lastly, does the mysql_close function with the single parameter $con also close the database? MOD EDIT: code tags added. |
