PHP - Cronjob And Insert Content In Site

Ok,
So I have a php script which I want to call using a cron job... It all works correctally when I call it from a browser, and I have updated the local paths to include the full url.

All the local side of things works correctally/ fine. The issue is that during part of the script I am pulling an image from an external source (specifically Apple). I'm then using ImageMagik to convert it to a png and save the file locally. Again this all works outside of using a cron job, but dosen't when I am using a cron job...

It's either an issue with the fact I'm using an external link, or an issue with utilizing ImageMagik...

If it's a ImageMagik issue then I'll ask on their forums - but I first wanted to check there shouldn't be any issues with using external links in a php triggered by cron? Like it dosent try find the file at /usr/www/users/<external link here> or anything dumb like that?

im working on my website and im trying to insert text from a file into the webpage.

the webpage is
index.php

the .txt file is
indexbody.txt

at the point of where the code is i would like to insert the contents of the text file into the html document so the person viewing the site can read it as if it was directly in that webpage.
i hope you understand what im asking

I am using cpanel, where i am want to run a php file, to delete the old records,

i used cronjob in cpanel to do this.

In time columns i have made : * * * * * to execute each and every minute the script..

In the command textbox i have made: /home/server25/public_html/auto_cancel.php


in the email box: admin_email@gmail.com


I am getting Permission denied to my email address:
The error report am getting is :

/bin/sh: /home/server25/public_html/auto_cancel.php: Permission denied

Please help me to solve this.

I'm trying to create a INSERT query statement that makes use of the content of 'include' files. When I call up the include it simply echos it to the screen but I can't seem to capture the text string and actually make it function as part of the query. I've tried setting the include as a variable but again it only outputs to the screen. Help please! Here's a portion of the code...

I have a script that fetch emails and its work file when I call it through SSH with PHP at the beginning on the path

when I added a cronjob it was working fine too... the problem start when I disable the cronjob email response, the script dose not functioning with Imap

What can I do in order to bypass this problem, I will try to call it with include but I have no other options..

This might be a very easy problem to solve. I am literally brand new to php.
I am trying to create a simple site that will load content depending on what page 'id' is in the URL and if it doesn't exist to show a page for that scenario.
eg index.php?id=1 will show the page 1.php
 
It works fine apart from showing an error when there is no id at all,
eg  www.website.com will show an error but www.website.com/index.php?id=1 will show a page
I want to be able to show the homepage if there is no 'id' at all.

My host has a limit of 100 emails per hour and this is now being reached to many times a day and some emails are not being sent due to this.

Does anyone have a script or know of one that can stack emails to be sent in MySql or something and every 5 minutes send one out from the stack and then delete from the stack the ones sent.

I have page1.php where there is a iframe with source page2.php.

How can I read page2.php?

Both the pages are in external website, and if I directly point www.thatsite.com/page2.php, it shows blank page (no error).

But if I load www.thatsite.com/page1.php in FIREFOX and use SAVE FRAME AS function, it does save page2.php successfully.

I'm missing something here. I have a form, and when the submit is pressed, the relevant post data inserts into table one, then I want the last insert id to insert along with other form data into a second table. The first table's still inserting fine, but I can't get that second one to do anything. It leapfrogs over the query and doesn't give an error. I have several "sites" located in my html directory, and each has a "general" access point and an "administrator" access point:

All sites are similar except that data will be specific to site1, site2, or site3, etc.   Users who log onto /var/www/html/siteX/index.php are totally unrelated to those who logon to /var/www/html/siteX/administrator/index.php, will have different logon credentials, are stored in different DB tables, and each should have their own session.  If a user logs off of either the general or administrator site, it should not effect the other site even if they were previously logged on to both on the same PC (and of course not effect other sites). When a user logs off, I would like to destroy their previous cookie and associated session.  Users for either will only use https.  I am using Apache to rewrite https://www.mysite.com/ to https://mysite.com/.  While I named the administrator site "administrator" above, the administrator user has the ability to change the directory name.   I am thinking I need to use session_set_cookie_params to specify where I wish the session cookie to be stored since /var/www/html/siteX/administrator/index.php is a sub-directory to /var/www/html/siteX/index.php, but am not really sure.  Sorry for the cryptic post, but I am not very well versed in this subject. How would you recommend setting up cookies/sessions for this scenario?  Thank you

I will start off trying to explain what I am trying to make the best I can. What I want to create is a script that gets the gold value from this website: http://www.lbma.org.uk/pages/index.cfm?page_id=46&title=current_statistics and then save it to a variable which I will use to calculate values of different gold karats.

Here is the content in bold I need on the website I linked:

So what help do I need? Well, I don't expect you to figure out the calculating part for me but some help how to get that content pointed out above and save it to a variable is what I would appreciate getting some help with.

I don't know much PHP, only some and I have been trying to figure this out for a day now without any success.  I suppose php get contents and/or curl should be used here but I don't know how really. I would very much appreciate the help I can get on this.

My first post here is a cry for help

I have a Windows 2003 server running IIS6/PHP5, the server hosts multiple web sites.

The problem is include files that are for site A are showing on site B (each site having its own includes as part of the site files in its own site folder), though not every time, its very random, sometimes the correct includes show, sometimes ones from another site on the same server. This only occurs where the include files for both sites have the same name, such as 'inc-header.php' for example.

I can only assume PHP is caching includes and because they have the same name is showing the wrong one on other sites sometimes, if I rename them to something unique then the problem goes away, but its not a practical solution to rename all include files to unique names so I find myself looking for a 'real' fix.

I have a feeling its to do with the include_path in the php.ini, but right now its disabled with a semi-colon, and I don't want to set one as I have no global includes, all includes are site specific.

Any help would be very much appreciated!
