PHP - Inter Dependant Select Fields

My query is a fixtures list for my local sports team- There seems little point including fixtures from the past as they are in a results query anyway.
I'm ordering by date (see below) but how can I remove the ones already past?

I need some help with the query for a form that selects values across multiple columns, and allow users to select multiple values in several columns.

I assume you build the where clause for the sql by determining if there is an option value has been selected in the single-value select boxes.

But how do I handle the multi-select list boxes?

I'm desperate for help!  Need to get somewhere with this over the weekend!

I am currently creating a form and I want to populate a drop down selection menu with data from two fields in a form. For example, I want it to pull the first and last name fields from a database to populate names in a drop down menu in a form. I want the form to submit to the email address of the person selected in the drop down. Is this possible to do? The email is already a field in the record of the person in the database.

Can anyone give me some pointers or advice on how I should go about setting up the "Select" box drop down? I am not sure how to code it to do what I am wanting. Any links to relevant help would be appreciated too.

Im doing a search system and Im having some problems. I need to search in two tables (news and pages), I already had sucess doing my search system for just one table, but for two tables its not easy to do. I already use a select statment with two tables using UNION because I want to show number of search results, that is number of returned rows of my first sql statment. But now I need to do a select statment that allows me to acess all fields of my news table and all fields of my pages table. I need to acess in my news table this fields: id, title, content, link, date, nViews I need to acess in my pages table this fields: id, title, content, link Im trying to do this also with UNION, but in this case Im not having any row returning. I have a calendar select date function for my form that returns the date in the calendar format for USA: 02/16/2012.  I need to have this appear as is for the form and in the db for the 'record_date' column, but I need to format this date in mysql DATE format (2012-02-16) and submit it at the same time with another column name 'new_date' in the database in a hidden input field.  Is there a way to do this possibly with a temporary table or something?

Any ideas would be welcome.

Dear All,

I wish to have 2 drop down boxes, Country Select Box and Locality Select Box. The locality select box will be affected by the value chosen in the country select box.

All is working fine except that the locality select box is not being populated.
I know that the problem is in the sql statement

WHERE country_id='$co'

because i am having an error that $co is an undefined variable.

All the rest works fine because i have replaced the $co variable directly with a number (say 98) for a particular country id and it worked fine. In what way can i define this variable $co so that it is accepted by my sql statement?

Scenario:
each row contains an ID, title, description, price, and up to 5 images. There are not always 5 images stored in each row. The images are stored as a file path which is then pulled out of the DB and used to display an image via HTML.

I need to do some sort of loop/check that looks at the contents of a particular row (actually all rows in this particular table) and then decide how many times to loop through the images to display them all correctly on the webpage.

I could statically set a variable for each column but then it would have a space for an image but nothing would show. I really want this to be able to only load the images that are stored in the DB.

Any help on how I can go about this?

Hi guys,
I have an entry site with six fields, (country, town, school, language, course type, starting date) all of them take their content from the database.
(Just those countries will be shown, if someone registered from there)
However, if a visitor chooses e.g. country USA, and then schools, he will still be shown ALL schools, no matter if they are in the USA or not.
I need to change that!
How can I make the fields dependent from each other. So if a visitor chooses a country, that just the schools, the towns, the courses, etc.. will be shown in the other drop down menus from that particular country.

Hi Guys i need help on a small matter.

when submitted all works ok.

However if you delete rows 3, 4 and 5 and submit the page shows a value of 0.00 in the total column on rows 3, 4 and 5.

How do i get this value removed so it is blank same as the rest ?

Hi all

I have a website which has a payment system on it, I use sagepay, paypal and a few others.

They all have relatively similar forms, in which the total amount to be paid is passed in a hidden form field, such as

<input type="hidden" name="amount" value="25">

all the payment gateways I use have the same or similar method to send the total amount (ie: 25)

for example, my paypal form is like

</form>

this is all fine, apart from the user can use things like "firebug" to alter the total to be paid, so they can change $25 to $4 for example.

So my question is, is there anyway with PHP to send over these form values are hidden variables.

My idea was to post my form fields apart from the "cost" to a PHP script, then get PHP to grab the total from the database and dump the value in cost field and send it along with the other posted values.

So really, is there anyway to get PHP to process a form data in a hidden enviroment, so my payment form URL is something like

process.php

and then process.php on my server deals with the sending of the paypal form data, but in a way that the user cannot see this data, so they basically never get to see the paypal form and any of its contents.

Hopefully that kind of makes sense

I have tried so many ideas, but cannot seem to find a solution, although when I do, hopefully the same method can be used on all my payment forms.
