PHP - Password Manager... Which One You Guys Recommend?

I recently had a need to check several arrays, and if an index wasn't set, set a variable to a given value.  The code was such that I couldn't perform the isset check all at once.  I then thought "wouldn't it be great if I could try the script, and catch the error or warning". Searching a bit, I came across the following script.  I am a little nervous, however, that there might be negative consequences of doing so.  Thoughts?

MySQL cannot store Boolean values and thus I use 0/1.  Is there much benefit to cast them as Boolean immediately after querying the database, do whatever PHP processing is required, and then convert them back to 0/1 before writing to the database?  One benefit is I can type declare my arguments, but I am debating whether it is worth it.  Thanks

Finally getting around to giving Doctrine a try.  Looks like YAML is depreciated, so my choices are DocBlocks or XML.

I am sure it is personal choice, however, I would like to start off with what most feel is the best path.

Any recommendations?  Thanks

In the past weeks ive been trying to make a website, where you can register. Everything seems to work except my cherished Change password feature. Everytime you try to change the password, it just resets it to nothing.

I'm trying to $_GET a value and then input it into my database but this obviously doesn't work, I have no idea why.

As soon as I run a "if (isset($_POST['submit']" action the value of the $_GET dissapears completly, I have no idea why, I've tried both XAMPP and WAMP with Apache and MySQL but it doesn't seem to work.
Is this simply just not possible or am I doing something wrong...Help me!!!

If a row in mysql i have "type" is set to "yes"
do that stuff
or if it's not
do some other stuff

I don't know, it seemed simple but it turns out I don't know what to do.   I was told that storing a photo as a blob was much harder than simply storing a photo's url or directory location...   So... when a file has been selected through the browse-file manager triggered by

 <input type="file"...>

and the file selected is shown, when a person pusehs "upload" what is supposed to happen?   Do I need some kind of FTP client to access the server and place the photo in there?   It seems so easy in a way like the built in filemanager in cPanel...   What am I missing?   Thanks for any help.
