Hello, I'm working on an online bookstore and I'm having some problems with the shopping cart section.

On the book page I have the following code, which is supposed to gather information like book  title, author and price and send it to the shopping cart:

My problem is every time I add a book to the cart, nothing is updated except for the quantity, so I have no author, title or price info, like so:



I'm just starting php coding and I can't figure out what's going on. Anyone willing to lend a helping hand?

I had posted a similar post  a few days back, about an display script which is supposed to retrieve a stored image from my database and displays it on an html page, but fails to do so.  Someone suggested that I  upload my image onto a folder on the server and then save the image path name in my database.  I found this script(below)  which does just that.  It uploads the image into a folder on the server called images and stores the image path into a table in my database called images and I know this script works because i saw the file saved in the images folder and the path name inserted into the images table.

Well, needless mentioning, the picture isn't displayed.  Just a tiny jpeg icon is displayed at the top left hand corner of the page.  Figuring out that the problem might be the lack of a header that declares the image type, I add this line

but all it does is display a blank white page, without the tiny icon this time.  What am I missing? Any clues??

Hi Guys, i am trying to get my head around doing a calculation for the total and getting the discount from each row and display the total. I am using both mySql and php. How do i get the TOTAL BALANCE (this is = total balance - the discount) and the TOTAL PAYMENT DUE (this is = TOTAL CLIENT PAYMENT - TOTAL BALANCE). Please note that the discount settings are different for each row and there are an number of different rows.

I forgot to note that the TOTAL BALANCE calculation is not correct. Any help would be appreciated.

This code was given to me by mjdamato to help display a student and the course that student has take and within that the modules in the course and the sessions in course including module mark and grade and student's session marks and grades. I am very weak on php code as I have only done it once and that was following a php workbook 2 years ago. I am more of a database specialist. If you look above it shows that there is nothing in the Course Mark: section, what Course Mark is suppose to do is total up all the module mark percentages and then divide it by the number of modules. So the calculation will be adding up all the Code: [Select]
$markGrade and dividing it by count Code: [Select]
$ModuleID. In examle above it will be 68 (mark percentage for 1st module) + 62 (mark percentage for 2nd  module) / 2 (number of modules in the course). So the Course Mark should equal 65. 

The problem is that all of the calculations are in the foreach loop but where the course details and where the course marks are going to be placed are in the while loop. So the problem is that if the total Course Mark (lets say we call in $totalCourse) is displayed in the while loop it will provide an undifined index as the calculation will be placed with the other calculations in the foreach loop which is outside the while loop, if I do the calculation with in the while loop, it will only choose the 1st module mark percentage and divdie it by the first module only, this is obviously incorrect as it sohuld try and do this for all modules hence why my calculations are in the foreach loop which does this.

So how will change the code so that the course details can go from the while loop and be placed in the foreach loop so then I can include the calculation in the foreach loop.

Recently I tryed to create a login for my website and a logout using sessions.
The problem I have is: Whenever I log in I will be going to the homepage of the website. My session will be set and everything works fine. Now when I log out my session will be unset and destroyed. The problem is, is that whenever I go back in history I can still see my homepage. When I refresh that page the browser asks the user to resend it's information (probably because it has to do with using post in my login template).

b.t.w. is it a bad thing to use request and a .htaccess file for my login form?

So whenever a user logs in -> logs out -> goes back in history -> refreshes -> resend information
the user is not asked to answer any account and password information to get itself logged in again.

This troubles me for quite a while now  !

now what I'm trying to do is: whenever the user goes back in history after being logged out, the page should be redirected to the login page. I have no idea how I would accomplish this.
I know it has got something to do with my login.php but I can't really make it redirect to itself since it will then most possibly start an endless loop of redirecting.

Now, I need to revised my query statement, because i have separate code for adding attendance if the employee has no attendance or no login or no logout.

I just want to happen is if the employee is already add his attendance in NRS table or should I said if the LOG_IN in attendance table is equal to TIME_IN in NRS table the data will have a color yellow.

For Example:

I have this data in attendance table:

I will his attendance in NRS table to have his attendance:

In my above query the LOG_IN has a background color of RED.

I want to happen is if I add his attendance in NRS the EMP_NO, LOG_IN, LOGOUT will have a color to notice that it is already have in NRS.

Because theirs a scenario that the employee has no login or no logout or both.

I have written a bra calculator, when the user enters their measurements their bra size is displayed however as the code I have used to do this came from a help tutorial I do not understand how it was constructed as I am quite a newb.

The form works perfectly when returning data however if there is no size for a particular measurement it just displays nothing. I would like it to display N/A

I have tried adding various if elses but without success.

So I have this script. I connected the database and verified a working connection to the base, password correct. As I save the script on my server it saved the changes and I view the file online. The resulting page is blank. Really need help completing this code as it's essential to my sites organization, have a look below and help me if possible.   <?php

Basically, the only important line from that file is:

What I am doing is uploading images and other files to a PHP database.

[image] = carries all the uploaded files.

That single line shows every uploaded image in a row. But it doesn't show the SWF because obviously 'img src' isn't for swf's.

Is it possible to add another code to THAT LINE to show the swf's? that single bit needs to be able to read images and swf's,

That is currently set to echo out a table but i only want "company" "address" "phone" to make things easier.

Company name = box1

street1,street2, location, postcode = box2 (for address)

phone = box3

Back again!! I have been trying to think of a way to do this but its starting to make my brain itch a bit too much now!!! I have the code below to display my query. Basicly its to disply 3 images and when 'x=a multiple of 3' it ends the row and starts another. The only problem is, that the first result will not be displayed as x has to begin at 1. if x begins at 0, it will display the first result and begin a new line.
