PHP - How To Port Over Open Streetmap Data - Ino Php

Hi! I'm trying to make an button that when it's pressed sends an http post to my home server. But my home server is runing on port 84 and i think that i'm not being able to send the post correctly because of this port. any help?   my code now is this:

Stupid question but why would it need the port contained inside the URL for redirection later on?

Okay, I'm using fsockopen to see if a port is being used, But all it does it crashes the page if it isn't. If it is one it works but if it is off the pages just doesn't load at all.

I'm trying to connect to a database on a port other than 3306 to create a database. Here's my connect code:

$connection = new MySQLi($host,$user,$pass)()

But according to the PHP website it says I can lay the code out like so:

new MySQLi($host,$user,$pass,$database,$port)()

But how do I specify the port without the database? I've tried just "" as the database but the connection still fails.

Any help would be much appreciated.

question: the passwd of the configuriatin of the cms has got the following

db connecgtion
host : localhost
db-name
db-passwd


question: does the db passwd need to match the passwd of the local mysql server!?

I have a small project. I have a control board that is connected to the parallel port.

It controls 8 strips of LED on the LPT1 port.

I can turn these on and off via the command prompt, using LPTOUT.exe   ie lptout 1  turns on the 1st LED

lptout 2  will turn off 1st LED and turn on 2nd,  lptout 4 turns on 3rd and 2nd off, etc
 1, 2, 4, 8, 16, 32, 64, 128.     and combinations ie lptout 3  turns on LEDS 1 and 2, and so on.

However lptout seems very unresponsive sometimes I have to do lptout 1  twice before LED 1 turns on.

Is there another command I can use to write to LPT1 port.

I need some PHP code to control the outputs.

I want to sequence the outputs ie  1on (1second) 2on (1 second) 3 on (1 second) 4 on  etc. to 8, then all off then repeat.

Can anyone help me.

Scenario :   I would like to open the main program window and at the same time, if a condition is met, open a second - popup window to alert the user of previous information stored in the database.   This is an easy exercise if I use a hyperlink to open th second (popup) window but this is not the process required .   Can someone point me in the right direction ?   Cheers and thanks

I am new to PHP programming. I am trying to figure out how to use PHP language to transmit/write characters to a USB port device at 9600 baud rate 8-N-1. Basically I just need the PHP coding to allow me to send stuff to the USB device but I have no idea how I can interface this. I did some researching but most were for RS-232 COM Port. I can't find the proper one for USB.

I'm trying to open a URL using fopen() and I keep getting this error:

Failed to open stream: Permission deniedI can not work out what is wrong, it's not a firewall as far as I can tell.

Not to say that this occurs in every php software out there, but I far too occasionally notice that the application is written with scattered php open and close tags, for instance

To me, it is extremely irritating.   Regardless, I see a lot of open source software written this way and I can't help but think that there must be some underlying reason for it.  Magento, for example, is written exactly in this manner.  The templates are infested with these opened and closed php snippets.  Obscurity is not security so I'm ruling security reasons out.  Maybe it is more efficient? -- But I couldn't understand why, if so.  It seems like that would put more of a drag on the system itself causing php to start and stop parsing continually and excessively, then again, I'm no expert in the field of memory consumption and other operating system complexities.   Honestly, in my opinion, it is stupid.  i would never write a program that way..   HEREDOCs are much more useful and eye pleasing than that awful <?php { ?>   I had the misfortune a few months ago when I purchased an invoicing/customer maintenance system that I didn't know was written for PHP 5.2 or something lower, one that allowed short tags; and thus short tags were used in the same manner as I've described.   Is this just plain disorganization or is there some deep-seated inner lining advantage that I'm not aware of?

I am a newbie with PHP and I have been trying to solve this problem for 3 days..

Ive set up a booking form on my website to be sent directly to my email once the client clicked on the send button..
The problem I am having while checking these pages on wamp is that the booking form is ok but when I click on the send button the following message error appears
"Warning: mail() [function.mail]: Failed to connect to mailserver at "localhost" port 25, verify your "SMTP" and "smtp_port" setting in php.ini or use ini_set() in C:\wamp\www\fluffy_paws\booking_form2.php on line 27"

When I check online I have this message "500 - Internal server error.
There is a problem with the resource you are looking for, and it cannot be displayed."

Are my codes wrong???

trying to solve my problem for hours and I am not having any luck, so I
thought I would post and see if anyone can help. I am very stuck and am
not making much progress on this project, and I am certain the answer is
very simple.

I am constructing a form to collect data for a specialized purpose. 

The form and program actually work for its intended function, but I am
trying to enhance the user experience by preventing customers from
having to reenter all of their data should there be a problem with any
of the data submitted.

I have been able to do that with the contact form portion, but what I am
having trouble with is the portion which has as many as 400 possible
entries.

So, in a nutshell, if the customers contact data is incomplete or in
error, the form will ask them to return to the page and correct things.
The previous data entered has been saved in the session and the input
value will equal the previous entry.

i.e.

There are 4 columns each with $points entries asking for a dimension in
either feet or inches. 

The <input name=>  is one of ptaf,ptai,ptbf,ptbi, appended programatically with the corresponding
row number or data point.  i.e. "ptaf1", "ptai1", etc...  This is produced by the example
below and works perfectly also.

I am trying to add <input value=$ptai.$i> for each field but as I mentioned I
am not having any luck.  It seems as if I have tried every combination
imagineable, but still no luck. My head is spinning!

The closest I seem to have gotten was with this:

Hello to all,

I have problem figuring out how to properly display data fetched from MySQL database in a HTML table.

In the below example I am using two while loops, where the second one is nested inside first one, that check two different expressions fetching data from tables found in a MySQL database. The second expression compares the two tables IDs and after their match it displays the email of the account holder in each column in the HTML table.

The main problem is that the 'email' row is displayed properly while its while expression is not nested and alone(meaning the other data is omitted or commented out), but either nested or neighbored to the first while loop, it is displayed horizontally and the other data ('validity', 'valid_from', 'valid_to') is not displayed.'

Can someone help me on this, I guess the problem lies in the while loop?
