PHP - Managing Results From Odbc_fetch_array

Okay, after successfully getting a form to input data to a MySQL database, I'm now trying to get the data back out by searching.

All good there!  Form displays how I want it to, and submits correctly.

The bit I'm struggling with is the process_search.php side of things.  This is what I have (note that i'm trying to get the results into a formatted table and I'd like more results if the match is in more than one column):

Trouble with this is that I'm not getting any errors OR results!

I have a variable called clientid being passed via a url. I place that in a variable called $clientid

I have two tables, client and web_info

I want to select all from client and web_info for the appropriate clientid. I may not have my tables set up correctly. The primary key on the table client is auto genereated and titled client_id the primary key on web_info is e_mail and I want to pull information from the table web_info where the e_mail columns match.

Below is my PHP:

Lets say I have a 'Red Widget' and 'Red Ball' in my database.

At the moment I am searching for:

phpproductdisplay.php?description=red - this displays both items.

However, if I search for:

phpproductdisplay.php?description=red%widget

This displays only the red widget which works fine.

However, I want to display the search terms on my site and in the title.  So at the moment.  I am displaying "red%widget".  But I want to display "Red Widget".

Is it possible to get 'Red Widget'?

I am trying to write a script that will allow me visitors to my site to search my database for items. I followed a tutorial that I had found and tweaked it to fit my needs. I am not getting any results it keeps telling that there was no search results found. Even though I have the items that I have been testing on in my database.

- Only 1 row is matched.

The problem

The problem that makes me almost gonna cry,it takes long time to load then it will showing names (remember my_table of 100,000 entries) all at once  and sometimes it sudden shows huage amount once or even sometime it hang up.

My question

Is there any way that i can call it so that it showing me results one name by one name like streaming name1 (done),name2 (done),name3 (done),name4 (done),name5 (done),......etc not showing all at once

i'm afraid it may needs some ajax idea or somehow i really don't know but this is important to me so your help is very useful to me.

so anyone please helps me cause it would really save my hosting ram otherwise they would suspend me

Hi I dont know anything about html nevermind php.. but spent the past several hours searching on the internet and couldnt find anything so last ditch thought i'd post here. Looked for php help in google and this phpfreaks seemed the most popular site.

ok here's what i'm trying to do. Browsing around the facebook trying to view fans. I dont like the little pop-up window it does because cant see mutual friends.. so i'll right click fans to a new window. Then you can see if anyone's got mutual friends. Only has 10 results per page though.. and when you click the arrow for next page, it stops at 2000. If you click next after 2000 it only has a link to the same page. Figured though to get past that if you manually type in the next number in the url where it says &start=2000. So then at the end of the url i'll change the 2000 to 2010 hit enter.. 2020 hit enter, etc.

Its getting kind of tiresome because this fan page i'm checking out for the city has 12,000.. and doing it 10 at a time is ridiculous. Thought there might be a &= thing i could type in the http url to show more profiles per page instead of 10. You know, like some pages have options to show more results per page.. well i looked around checking what the url says for sites that have that option, but it seems like its different for each page they make. You'd think there'd be a standard ?= thing for however many profiles per page. I thought of maybe opening a saved facebook fan results page and opening it with an html editor and looking for 10 to see what text it writes in there showing what code it is that determines the 10 per page.. but theres nothing. Probably cant get it to show more than 10 profiles per page. Anyways, just last-ditch posting maybe you guys would know more about that. Probably cant do anything about it and i'll have to manually type in each ten increment ten thousand times and hit enter.

Hi there, I know I'm doing something stupid, but i've tried for hours to try and figure this out and I just cant seem to figure out why tutorials i've seen seem to work yet my own code doesnt.

I have this code and Im using a while to fetch all the data where users comments are but i want to change it to fetch only 25 rows at a time and each time it refreshes it fetch's 25 more different rows.

I only wnat to read 25 comments at a time and when i click a button to read more then it reads 25 more rows but it dose not read the data unless requested... can any one help me?

Lets say I have an array of different values... for example,

$alreadyViewed = array("hi.jpg","cow.jpg","dog.png");

Lets say my database contains:

How do you I tell MySQL to only fetch the remaining entries? And ignore everything in the $alreadyViewed array?
