How can I make a CSS3 menu like the menu placed in below website?
Welcome :: Bardia Textile Co. I mean top menu that has fancy effect. please at least tell me the name of these kinds of menu in the way I could find some more examples. Similar TutorialsHi people. I'm very new to PHP and am building the www.airfieldcards.com website for pilots to use free of charge. I have made a subdomain "m" which I am going to use for the "mobile version" of the site. I have made the "information" showing card but need to make a menu as the first thing that the user sees when he logs onto the site via a mobile device (iPhone / android etc) It needs to take "username" from the database (this is the airfield name) Then list them in order (alphabetically) Then make a link out of the word to the ?"id" from the DB and display the relevant card. In other words. When the user visits http://m.airfieldcards.com the are greeted with the following Abbots Bromley Alderney Andrewsfield Here is the php that shows the actual "phone" version of the card. Code: [Select] <?php $host = 'localhost'; $usr = "username"; $password = 'thepassword'; $db_name = 'TheNameOfTheDB'; function cr($string){ $clean_string = str_replace("rn","<BR>",$string); return $clean_string; } if (!isset($id)) $id = $_GET['id']; mysql_connect ("$host","$usr","$password") or die ('Error During Connect:<br>'.mysql_error()); mysql_select_db ("$db_name") or die ('Error Selecting DB:<br>'.mysql_error()); $read_query = "select * from users where user_id = '$id'"; $results = mysql_query($read_query); $rs = mysql_fetch_array($results); ?> <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd"> <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"> <head> <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=UTF-8" /> <title>Untitled Document</title> <style type="text/css"> <!-- body table { } body,td,th { font-size: x-large; } --> </style> <body> Airfield Name: <? Which is the best way to make dropdown navigation menu? I also want to show the sitemap of navigation. How can it be done? Im trying to code an application that will spoof caller ids and that will make phone calls, or just a simple voip menu. I know you need certain software and servers (such as asterik), but I do not know where to go from here. Basically, I need a reference on coding in asterik & php. I know there is a php class for asterik (phpagi), but I have no idea how to get started with asterik. Can anybody help me out with this? I just need a tutorial on how to script with asterik. I searched everywhere (even on their webiste), and their seems to be no manual for it. How could I go about doing this? Thanks. Whats the best way to make a database driven menu ? Right now I have a db that looks like id | boats | Inshore id | boats | Offshore id | boats | Bay Boats and so on I'm think of going to database 1 id-1 | boats database 2 id | 1 | inshore or would a multideminsional array work best. My goal is to have the short term format be Boats Inshore Offshore Bay Boats and in the long term a format whose style I can change later, I wanted to get ideas from people in the know and have done this before. Thanks in advance Since I didn't want to type it out myself I wrote a small Date of Birth drop down menu generator. Now I'm wondering how I can make the code copy-able in a text area? The script should be inserting all the code ready and finished into a textarea so you can copy and go. How is it done? Here's the script: <?php echo "<center>"; ?> <form action='' method='POST'> <input type='submit' name='submit' /> </form> <?php $submit = $_POST['submit']; if ($submit) { echo "<form action='' method='POST'>"; echo "<select name='month'>"; for ($m = 01; $m <= 12; $m++) { echo " <option value='" . $m . "'>" . $m . "</option> "; } echo "</select>"; echo "<select name='day'>"; for ($d = 01; $d <= 31; $d++) { echo " <option value='" . $d . "'>" . $d . "</option> "; } echo "</select>"; echo "<select name='year'>"; for ($y = 1900; $y <= 2010; $y++) { echo " <option value='" . $y . "'>" . $y . Hello all , I have a small issue in regards to allowing for my results to be placed horizontally across the page instead of vertically. I find the code i have posted works well when it comes to finding and displaying my information as requested (vertically) , but i am having trouble with finding a way to display the results horizontally. I know i need a way to identify each result?in order to echo it out in between <td> </td> , but i am still unsure , a point in the right direction would be good as i am struggling to find a way thankyou. $title = $runrows['title']; $desc = $runrows['description']; $url = $runrows['url']; $img = $runrows['image']; $id = $runrows['id']; echo " <table width='100px'> <h4><a href='http://$url'><b>$title</b></a><br /> $desc<br> <font color='00CC00'>$url</font></h4> <tr><img src='data:image/png;base64,$img' /> $id "; how can I basically put a horizontal rule between each entry on this code.......? Code: [Select] <?php if (isset($_POST['submitted'])) { include('connect1.php'); $category = $_POST['category']; $criteria = $_POST['criteria'] ; $query = "SELECT * FROM members WHERE $category LIKE '%".$criteria."%'"; $result = mysqli_query($dbcon, $query) or die('error getting data'); $num_rows = mysqli_num_rows($result); echo "$num_rows results found"; echo "<table width=\"896\" border=\"0\" cellspacing=\"0\" cellpadding=\"0\">"; echo "<tr bgcolor=\"#F7E496\"><td bgcolor=\"#F7E496\"><strong>User ID</strong></td> <td bgcolor=\"#F7E496\"><strong>Name</strong></td> <td bgcolor=\"#F7E496\"><strong>email</strong></td> <td bgcolor=\"#F7E496\"><strong>City</strong></td><td bgclor=\"#F7E496\"></td></tr>"; while ($row = mysqli_fetch_array($result, MYSQLI_ASSOC)) { echo "<tr><td>"; echo $row['userid']; echo "</td><td>"; echo $row['name']; echo "</td><td>"; echo $row['email']; echo "</td><td>"; echo $row['city']; echo "</td><td>"; echo "<form action='admin.php' method='get'><input type='hidden' name='edit'><input type='hidden' name='id' value='{$row['userid']}'><INPUT TYPE='submit' name='submit' VALUE='Edit'></form>\n"; echo "</td><td>"; echo "<form action='delete_account.php' method='get'><input type='hidden' name='userid' value='{$row['userid']}'><INPUT TYPE='submit' name='submit' VALUE='Delete'></form>\n"; echo "</td></tr>"; } echo "</table>"; } ?> basically each time the code is shown is an entry...... I have a code that outputs a table but right now each result is under the next ex: 1 2 3 1 2 3 I would like them to be horizontal ex: 123 123 the part of the code the controls the table is: Code: [Select] echo "<table border=0 cellspacing=0 cellpadding=0>"; foreach($xml->result->rowset->row AS $name) { echo "<tr>"; echo "<td><img src=/Character/".$name['characterID']."_200.jpg></td></tr>"; echo "<tr><td>".ucwords($name['name'])."</td></tr>"; echo "<tr><td>".ucwords($name['corporationName'])."</td>"; echo "</tr>"; } echo "</table>"; Hi there, As the question says i tried several things but i can't work it out and my knowledge about php isn't that well. $looponce = 1; foreach ($this->info as $k => $v) { if ( (($k == 'subject') && ($v['required'])) && (!$this->settings['customSubject'])) { for ($i = 0; $i <= 0; $i++) { $output[] = $this->display_errors('error_system_subject'); } } if ( (($k == 'name') && (!$v['required'])) || ((!array_key_exists("name", $this->info)) && ($looponce == 1)) ) { $output[] = $this->display_errors('error_system_name'); $looponce++; } } That is my loop that i check things in. What i'm more interested in is the name if statement. If currently checks for a name key in an array(below) and makes sure that it is set to required. If it's not set to required, print out a system error and die()'s. I'm looking for ways to remove the need for program errors and just change them to what is needed to run. What i know how to do is, get into the inner array, what i don't know is how to edit the data and put it back exactly as it was given to me. The inner array data can be put back in any order, but the outer array must be in exact order as it was given. above code $this->info = $formdata; $formdata = array( 'name' => array('name'=>"Full Name", 'required'=>false, 'type'=>'text'), # This needs to be required=>true, but i can't trust the user, which is why i have the error. 'telephone' => array('name'=>"Telephone", 'required'=>false, 'type'=>'phone'), ); Any help is greatly appreciated, also am i doing the foreach loop in the code above in an efficient manner or is there another way? So on a cloud computing platform such as AWS, how would one keep the /html folder in Apache identical?
I can FTP into one "instance" and modify code easily enough, but how would I push reversions to multiple servers at once?
It seems like such a simple question, but the answer eludes me.
Edited by arbitrageur, 20 November 2014 - 04:43 PM. I have a table called parties with 3 fields - partyid, partyname, linkid. For any linkid there will be a number of parties somewhere between 2 and 10. I can get a vertical list but have a couple of issues which I can't fix: I want to have a page that displays the list of partynames (alphabetically) horizontally rather than vertically within a piece of text. For example, "The parties linked to you are Party1, Party2, Party3" Also, ideally, I would like the word 'and' before the last Party name so, using the above example, I would get "The parties linked to you are Party1, Party2 and Party3" I have no idea how to do this or if it can be done. Any ideas would be VERY gratefully received. Thanks Hi, Mary Christmas My result of mysql database is LIMIT 8; now i have to retrieve and show this to two Horizontal columns As each columns 4 result. how to generate this Without tables!! only with DIV or UL/LI list . Thanks Hi All,
Am sure this is simple but can't work it out. I have the following which creates 3 menus:
<p>Drag items from one menu to another</p> <table> <tr> <td valign="top">Menu 1</td> <td valign="top">Menu 2</td> <td valign="top">Menu 3</td> </tr> <tr> <td valign="top"> <ul class="sortable" id="menu1"> <li id="id_1">Item 1</li> <li id="id_2">Item 2</li> </ul> </td> <td valign="top"> <ul class="sortable" id="menu2"> <li id="id_3">Item 3</li> <li id="id_4">Item 4</li> </ul> </td> <td valign="top"> <ul class="sortable" id="menu3"> <li id="id_5">Item 5</li> <li id="id_6">Item 6</li> </ul> </td> </tr> </table>This uses the following to show an array of each menu: $(function() { $("ul.sortable").sortable({ connectWith: '.sortable', update: function(event, ui) { $('#menu_choice').empty().html( $('.sortable').serial() ); } }); }); (function($) { $.fn.serial = function() { var array = []; var $elem = $(this); $elem.each(function(i) { var menu = this.id; $('li', this).each(function(e) { array.push( menu + '['+e+']=' + this.id ); }); }); return array.join('&'); } })(jQuery); What I'd like is to simply grab the values of menu 1 only, as the array shows all menus. What am I doing wrong as can't seem to just return menu1. Going forward, I then want to store the returned array into a PHP cookie if this is possible? Many thanks So i have a <drop down> menu, and a <nav> menu on my left side of the page. I have a problem when i click at the first column of my drop down menu and it explores submenu, the submenu mixes with the nav menu that is under the drop down menu on the left. i could solve it with margin-top of the nav menu but i don't like the empty space beetwen them. I tried with putting overflow:visible; in CSS of my dropdown menu but it is still the same. drop down menu is seen but there is stil seen nav menu under and they are mixed. So basicly i want my dropdown menu to be priority, so when i clicks on my first column (only first column is problem because there under is nav menu the other are open nice) it will explore submenu and the part of nav menu that covers the submenu will be hidden.
Here is the screen shot:
Here is the code of head <dropdown> menu if someone finds the problem.
