PHP - I Would Like To Read A Dir Of Images And Save The Imagefile Name To Mysql

Hello happy codes,

I have an image as such;

getimagesize doesn't work with this image.

Any ideas or links? I have looked through this site and can't find anyone having this problem. Am I missing something?

Hi,

I found a very nice script for saving my TwitPic images in full size. I have tested this script for a couple of times yesterday and it seems that this way of saving images is now blocked by amazon or TwitPic.

Using the API it's not possible to download the images as fas I can see, does anyone has an idea ?

Hi

On my xampp server's database I get the warning that my database is read-only when I try to insert something into a table. I think I may know what cause this, because I created an export/import app that exports/import important data to the database...

How can I remove the read-only from the database, because I am scared that the same thing might happen to my server's database? And is there a mysql query that test if the database is read-only?

Hello, I am a newbie regarding PHP and have done mostly only front-end web design for a couple of years and recently started querying DB's and displaying the data, but now this is a new project.

1) I have an external application sending HTTP POST requests to a specific php page on my web server.
2) I would like to store each new POST in a MySQL table and sort the value of all header names in their designated columns and add the current timestamp as well.
The headers included are "X", "Z", "Player", "UUID"

my DB has the columns 'X', 'Z', 'Player', UUID', 'Timestamp'.

I've tested code snippets as the ones below, but fail to incorporate them in the bigger picture of what I'm trying to achieve.
This one saves the data into a CSV, but it rewrites the file, appending a new line would already be a big step forward.

This snippet also seems to return the headers and their values but I don't know how to efficiently write and append it to a TXT or CSV, or preferably, directly into a MySQL database.

Also, storing the body data in a separate column is optional, but nice to have.

In MVC type architecture, is it safe to do this

I am using php5 and Mysql

I want to generate user id like phone format (Ex: xxx-xxx-xxxx). and check that user id exists in database or not. if yes, i have to generate new user id etc. If that user id not in database, i have to insert user id for new user. Means i have generate unique user id for login purpose.

Generating user id is working fine. availability of user id also ok for me by using mysql_num_rows() function. But if user id i exists in database, how can i generate new user id. All this will be done in single instance (When user click on submit button from registration form).

I would like to store PDF file into mysql (this part works) and then send it as email attachment and it should be retrieved from mysql table.

OK, I've taken a look around and cannot find a complete tutorial on how to do this.

I have created a database with a table and the following fields;

id, day, month, year, event, type

What I am trying to do is read the data held in the table by referencing the type field (unique data), have it populate data firleds which are user editable and then once all changes are made have it update into the table.

I can't imagine that this is that hard at all, but I cannot for the life of me figure it out!

Anybody got a tutorial or some code which will do this?

I am working on a simple web app in which I want to store about 20 variables in a MYSQL table so when I hand off the project the variables can be easily edited by the end user. Is it easy to store variables in a MYSQL table then query those and make them PHP variables? Really I just need to read a MYSQL table and pull two columns; AppOption and AppOptionValue then create PHP variables for each of the results making the AppOption the variable name and the AppOptionValue the value of said varible.

Any Ideas?

I have a MySQL database with each record of a person who has registered for an event, I am displaying the information on a web page for a user, but he wants to be able to print out all the records in alphabetical order by last name, first name later on so he will have a hard copy of each person who has registered at the table when they arrive.  How can I write each record to a Txt file that he can print out later that will be formated with the record contents along with each fields definition (Ex.
