PHP - How To Apply A Checked Attribute To Multiple Radio Inputs Fields
I am echoing out 2 radio input fields in a foreach statement. I would like to have the first option checked in all the radio input fields that gets echoed out.
But for some reason it marks the radio input field "checked" all the way in the bottom. (The last one)
How can I make it so that every input field that gets echoed out will be marked checked?
Below is my code. Thank you for your help
foreach ($menu_cat_options as $menu_cat_option){ <input type="radio" checked="checked" name="display_type" value="radio" >Radio <br> <input type="radio" name="display_type" value="checkbox">Check Box } Similar Tutorials<?php $goal = rand(1, 3); ?> <td><div align="left"> Goal</div></td> <td><label> <div align="center"> <input type="radio" name="goal_chk" id="radio2" value="1" <?php if($goal == "1") { echo "checked"; }?> /> </div> </label></td> <td><label> <div align="center"> <input name="goal_chk" type="radio" id="radio13" value="2" <?php if($goal == "2") { echo "checked"; }?> /> </div> </label></td> <td><label> <div align="center"> <input type="radio" name="goal_chk" id="radio23" value="3" <?php if($goal == "3") { echo "checked"; }?> /> </div> </label></td> </tr> i have a group of radio buttons whose value is checked randomly everytime you refresh the page, now that works fine, everytime you refresh the page the checked values moves randomly but the problem i have is getting the actual of a checked radio button. i have tried this... $goal_checked = $_POST['goal_chk']; echo $goal_checked; But nothing happens. Any ideas on how to make this possible. Thanks a lot you guys. <?php

In above code I want that In database if Sex=Male then Male radio button will be checked automatically and if Sex =Female then Female radio button will be checked. But it not works ........... please help me........... thanks in advance.......... Hi people,
I'm new to PHP, and I'm having some real difficulties with trying to re-populate a radio button selection on a form.
Basically, I'm working on a WordPress plugin which uses custom fields to create a Bet custom post type.
I need to have my form submit the user input, then re-populate it so that if the user wants to edit and update the Bet data, they don't have to fill in the whole form details again, they can just edit what they need to, and update (re-submit) the form.
I've managed to get all of the form elements re-populating, apart from a radio button. I've been trawling round the internet for most of yesterday evening and this morning, trying different things, but nothing I've found works for me.
I'd really appreciate some help if anyone knows how to do this.
Here's my code so far (non working)
<?php I have to radio buttons at the login page. Both of them are in group1. The value of the first is 'fancy', the value of the second is 'fast'. Also note that the buttons are on the login page, and i want to change the bg on the main page. I generated a table from the database, and at the end of each row there are two submits, one for save and another for delete. The values are generated as either text and select box input. Right now, I have all the submits named differently (ends a number), so I can loop through all available submits based on the number to check which row needs to be updated, and to retrieve the values during form processing, then only perform the query. I have also hidden input in each row to send the "primary key" that is used during query. Is there a better approach than to have so many different names for the buttons, not having to loop through all of them each time, and still keep a similar layout? I'm trying to avoid anything else than PHP. The table looks something like: col1____| col2_______| col3____|__________________ txt input | select input | txt input |save bttn | delete bttn txt input | select input | txt input |save bttn | delete bttn First, Happy X-Mas to all! I want to do a form for entering dog-show results. On first site of form the user is able to enter how many dogs for each class (there are youth and open class for example) he want to insert. So on second site there will be formfields for every dog in every class, created with php. User should be able to take dogname from jquery autocomplete - this works for multiple fields. But i need the according id to the dogname - and actual only one id is given - the first one is changing by choosing from autocomplete in next fields... Data came from a json array like 0: {dogidindatabase: "9892", value: "Excalibur Khali des Gardiens de la Cour ",…} dogidindatabase: "9892" label: "<img src='../main/img/female.png' height='20'>Excalibur Khali des Gardiens de la Cour " value: "Excalibur Khali des Gardiens de la Cour " 1: {dogidindatabase: "15942", value: "Excalibur from Bandit's World Kalli",…} dogidindatabase: "15942" label: "<img src='../main/img/male.png' height='20'>Excalibur from Bandit's World Kalli" value: "Excalibur from Bandit's World Kalli"all i need is inside ... the script in form is <script type='text/javascript'> //<![CDATA[ $(function() { $(".dog").autocomplete({ source: "xxx.php", minLength: 3, select: function(event, ui) { $('#dogidindatabase').val(ui.item.dogidindatabase); } }); $["ui"]["autocomplete"].prototype["_renderItem"] = function( ul, item) { return $( "<li></li>" ) .data( "item.autocomplete", item ) .append( $( "<a></a>" ).html( item.label ) ) .appendTo( ul ); }; }); //]]> </script>and the form looked like <input type='text' name='dog' class='dog' value='".strip_tags(${'dogname' .($countbabymale+1)})."' size='35' data-required='true' /><br> <input class='readonly' readonly='readonly' type='text' id='dogidindatabase' name='dogidindatabase' size='5' />I changed in script and form id='dogidindatabase' to class, but it doesn´t work. Testsite is under http://www.wolfdog-d...how.php?lang=de (only german at first) - Insert a number (higher than 1) under baby 3-6 (first box, the others are not working for testing); submit to get to page 2; you see all post-variables (for testing). Try to insert a dogname in first input-field (choose "exc") and insert first one - the id is under dogname. In second dogname inputfield you can choose second dog - the id for the first one changes to id of seond one .... How can i get both for every dog? Hello,
I'm developing one website for a real-estate agency. I have a html form that is used to submit property details, There is multiple form inputs and also I need to upload multiple property images using Dropzone JS multiple image upload. Here I'm validating form inputs using jQuery Validation library. Validation works perfect and data Is being to posted to php file called submit_property_data.php. But when I implement the Dropzone JS image upload its not working.
JS File (property-submit.js)

Hey Guys. I have a quick question. Should i "prep" input values coming from a radio or checkbox input field? Can an SQL injection occur through those 2 input fields, or is it only text fields?
According to http://www.phpfreaks.com/forums/index.php?topic=350872.0: Is this a correct usage of what I am trying to create? Hey there - how are you? I'm trying to add up multiple fields from a table and it's mostly working but I have one curious error. It always seems to miss the field upgrade6_fee. I'm totally baffled. I thought it was my syntax but I'm not seeing anything wrong with it. Any ideas? Otherwise it all seems to be working. <?php $query = "SELECT fee1, upgrade3_fee, upgrade4_fee, upgrade5_fee, upgrade6_fee, upgrade7_fee, SUM(fee1 + upgrade3_fee + upgrade4_fee + upgrade5_fee + upgrade6_fee + upgrade7_fee) AS ttotal FROM Register"; $result = mysql_query($query) or die(mysql_error()); while($row = mysql_fetch_array($result)){ echo number_format(($row['ttotal']), 2); } ?> I have html form that looks like: <form method="post" action="?a=up"> ...some mysql query... while ($i = mysql_fetch_array($result)) { <input name="name[]" type="text" value="<?=$i['name'];?>" /> <input name="years[]" type="text" value="<?=abs($age);?>"/> <input name="to[]" type="checkbox" value="<?=$i['id'];?>" /> } <input name="" type="submit" value="go" /> </form> The problem I have is that I can not get the values of the form fields such as "name" and "years". I can only get a list of the ids (value of "to" checkbox). The php code looks like: $cnt = 0; for($p = 0; $p <= (sizeof($to)-1); $p++) { echo $to[$p].$name[$p].$years[$p]"<br>"; $cnt++; } $tm = array($cnt); What I'm doing wrong? When the User completes the Form, each Response needs to be a separate record. (My database has a many-to-many relationship with a "member" and "question" table joined by a "answer" table in the middle. And each Form field will go into its own unique record to make the many-to-many work.) At the top of my Form I have... if ($_SERVER['REQUEST_METHOD']=='POST'){ // Form was Submitted (Post). // Initialize Errors Array. $errors = array(); // Trim all form data. $trimmed = array_map('trim', $_POST); // ************************ // Validate Form Data. * // ************************ // Validate Answer1. if (strlen($trimmed['answer01']) >= 2 && strlen($trimmed['answer01']) <= 1024){ // Valid Answer1. $answerArray[0] = $trimmed['answer01']; }else{ // Invalid Answer1. $errors['question01'] = 'Answer must be 2-1024 characters.'; }//End of VALIDATE ANSWER1 // Validate Answer2. // : // : // Validate Answer10. And down farther in my code, I have each Field in my Form set up like this... Code: [Select] <!-- Question 1 --> <label for="question01">1.) Why did you decide to start your own business?</label> <textarea id="question1" name="answer01" cols="60" rows="8"><?php if (isset($answerArray[0])){echo htmlentities($answerArray[0], ENT_QUOTES);} ?></textarea> <?php if (!empty($errors['question01'])){ echo '<span class="error">' . $errors['question01'] . '</span>'; } ?> So if my Form works like I am thinking, all 10 Form Fields would end up here... Code: [Select] $answerArray[0] $answerArray[1] $answerArray[2] $answerArray[3] $answerArray[4] $answerArray[5] $answerArray[6] $answerArray[7] $answerArray[8] $answerArray[9] First of all, does that sound correct? If that part is correct, then how do I take the $answerArray[] and INSERT each value into a different record in my "answer" table?? Hope that makes sense?! Thanks, Debbie I have problem that only last text field is updated, how should I fix this? Here's the code <?php if(isset($_POST["update"])){ mysql_query("UPDATE categories SET name_category = '".$_POST['category']."' WHERE ID= ".$_POST['currentCat']." ") or die(mysql_error()); mysql_query("UPDATE podkategorije SET name_subcategory = '".$_POST['subcategory']."' WHERE id_subCat= ".$_POST['currentSubCat']." ") or die(mysql_error()); } ?> <form action="" method="post" > <?php //creating texfields from db $query = "SELECT k.ID, k.name_category, pk.name_subcategory, pk.id_subCat FROM `categories` AS k JOIN `subcategories` AS pk ON pk.id_mainCat = k.ID"; $result = mysql_query($query) or die(mysql_error()); $currentCat = false; while($row = mysql_fetch_array($result)) { //so it doesn't repeat itself if($currentCat != $row['ID']) { //display of main Categories ?> <ul> <li> <br/><input name="categories" type="text" value="<?php echo $row['name_category']; ?>" /> </li> </ul> <? $currentCat = $row['ID']; } //display subcategories ?> <input name="subcategories" type="text" value="<?php echo $row['name_category']; ?>" /><br/> <input type="hidden" name="currentCat" value="<?php echo $row['ID']; ?>" /> <input type="hidden" name="currentSubCat" value="<?php echo $row['id_subCat']; ?>" /> <? } ?> <br /> <input type="button" value="Back" onClick="history.go(-1);return true;"> <input type="submit" value="Update" name="update"/> </form> In this form, I am using radio buttons to select various PHP math function results (total, average,both) and it works but was wondering if it is possible to make it multiple choice, that is to say instead of displaying one result at t time when you submit, displaying two or three of the results, depending on how many radio buttons are clicked. Can this be done? Here is the form code <form action="." method="post"> <input type="hidden" name="action" value="process_scores" /> <label>Score 1:</label> <input type="text" name="scores[]" value="<?php echo $scores[0]; ?>"/><br /> <label>Score 2:</label> <input type="text" name="scores[]" value="<?php echo $scores[1]; ?>"/><br /> <label>Score 3:</label> <input type="text" name="scores[]" value="<?php echo $scores[2]; ?>"/><br /> <!-- ADD LOGIC TO DETERMINE WHETHER TO CALCULATE AVERAGE, TOTAL OR BOTH --> <fieldset> <legend> What do you want to calculate?</legend> <p> <input type="radio" name="calculate" value="average" checked="checked" /> Average<br /> <input type="radio" name="calculate" value="total" />Total<br /> <input type="radio" name="calculate" value="both" />Both</p> <p><br /> </p> </fieldset> <br /><br /> <label> </label> <input type="submit" value="Process Scores" /><br /> <label>Scores:</label> <span><?php if (isset($scores_string)) { echo $scores_string; } ?></span><br /> <label>Score Total:</label> <span><?php if (isset($score_total)) { echo $score_total; } ?></span><br /> <label>Average Sco </label> <span><?php if (isset($score_average)) { echo $score_average; } ?></span><br /> </form> and the processing code <?php if (isset($_POST['action'])) { $action = $_POST['action']; } else { $action = 'start_app'; } if (isset($_POST['calculate'])) { $calculate = $_POST['calculate']; } switch ($action) { case 'start_app': $scores = array(); $scores[0] = 70; $scores[1] = 80; $scores[2] = 90; break; case 'process_scores': $scores = $_POST['scores']; // validate the scores $is_valid = true; for ($i = 0; $i < count($scores); $i++) { if (empty($scores[$i]) || !is_numeric($scores[$i])) { $scores_string = 'You must enter three valid numbers for scores.'; $is_valid = false; break; } } if (!$is_valid) { break; } // process the scores $scores_string = ''; $score_total = 0; foreach ($scores as $s) { $scores_string .= $s . I arrived at a stand still on a certain issue which is creating a sticky form. On the "enter auction details page" the user will be entering data as the auction is in session. 1. item Description 2. Item Price 3. Bidders Id 4. Qty Of course it would be repetitive to require the user to keep entering the same data for every bidder, so I want to stick the obvious fields which are "item description" & "Item Price" as these don't change until a new item comes up for sale. As of know I am processing the input on a separate page which records all input to the database with a redirect back to the "enter auction details page". I have tried many times to get the item description and item price fields to stick. These would need to change as the user moves onto the next item in which the description and price would change as well. Here is my current code for this part: Code: [Select] <?php session_start(); $field_itemDescription = ""; //iyem description, default as blank if (isset($_SESSION['itemDescription'])) $itemDescription = $_SESSION['itemDescription']; ?> <form action="record_trans.php" method="post"> <font face= "calibri" size= "4"> <table> <tr> <td><b>Item Description:</b></td> <td><input type= "text" name= "itemDescription" size= "30" value="<?php echo $itemDescription;?>"></td> </tr> <tr> <td><b>Item Price:</b></td> <td><input type= "text" name= "itemPrice" size= "5" value="<?php echo $itemPrice;?>"> </td> </tr> </tr> <td><b>Winning Bidders:</b></td> <td><input type="text" name= "bidderId" size= "5" /> </td> </tr> <tr> <td><b>How many deals?:</b></td> <td><input type="text" name= "itemQty" size= "3" value= "1" /></td> </tr> </table> <center><input type="submit" name="submit" value= "Save & Cont." " /></center> </form></font> |
