PHP - Problem With File_get_contents And Sendy
Hello,
I need some help.
I am using Sendy from Sendy.co and the Simple Ajax Script which can be found he http://sendy.co/api
Scenario A - working
Sever: Local XAMPP server
Script: Simple Ajax Script from above, is working like it should
allow_url_fopen: local -> On master -> Off
file_get_contents: returns the full strings of the API of Sendy.
Scenario B - not working
Sever: HostEurope Webserver
Script: Same code, I am copying it from the folder of the XAMPP server, but it is not working
allow_url_fopen: local -> On master -> Off
file_get_contents: returns an empty string

Hey guys, I have a script which parses data from websites. The script is set up to read pages links from .txt file into an array and then use foreach loop to iterate through each result. I've setup exception handling in my parsing class to print the link when file_get_contents() is unable to to read data and then exit the script. Issue: The script stops randomly after running for a while, it prints the link where file_get_contents() function failed but when I restart the script from that link particularly again the script works no problem until it stops again at some point. My question is: Is there a problem with a buffer?? or what could prevent file_get_contents() from executing after hundreds of iterations? I've been researching and have found that both file_get_contents or iframes could do the job. I briefly attempted iframes src=x but after loading, the web page takes over the browser and the title section disappears. Can I use file_get_contents to display the web page as it's written below the title section? I've seen someone mention using a DIV for it. Could someone provide some guidance? Hi guys, I have a very simple php script that's supposed to work but doesn't. The script looks like this... <?php $response = file_get_contents("http://localhost:8090/MyWebApp/MyServlet", false, NULL) echo $response ?> which seems to return nothing. This is supposed to call a java servlet on the local machine. However, the servlet does not get called (I put a breakpoint in the servlet so I'd know if it were called). When I navigate to this php from a web browser, I get back an empty page (as if there's an error or something). However, if I change the above line to use http://www.google.com as the URL, it works (I can hit the php page from my browser and get back a google-looking page, minus some pictures and what not). For some reason, the call to a localhost URL does not seem to work, even though the servlet is, in fact, running. I have tested this by calling "curl http://localhost:8090/MyWebApp/MyServlet" from my linux terminal and correctly getting the servlet response. Does anyone know why this does not work in PHP?
