PHP - How Can Access To This Column Variable Sql By Php
Hello
Similar TutorialsHi, when i extend a class containing a private variable and then access the variable in the extended class it doesn't produce any error and works fine and when i access the variable using the object of the extended class it works even then, i think private variable should not be accessable in an extended class neither by object of that extended class here is the code <?php class textbox{ var $body_text, $body_text1; private $body_private="this is private value"; protected $body_protect="this is protected value"; function __construct($text_in, $text_out){ $this->body_text=$text_in; $this->body_text1=$text_out; } function display(){ echo "$this->body_text<br>"; echo "<i>"; echo "$this->body_text1</i><br>"; echo "$this->body_private<br/>"; echo "$this->body_protect<br/>"; } function test_new(){ echo "see if this private echo works"; } } $box=new textbox("any new value","any old value" ); $box->display(); $box->body_text="this is public thats why i can access it"; $box->body_text1="this is public thats why i can access it"; /*$box->body_private="this is private value changed"; //you will see we can't access the private and protected memebers from outside $box->body_protect="this is protected value changed"; */ $box->display(); $box->test_new(); class textboxbold extends textbox{ function __construct($text_on, $text_off, $text_get, $text_go) {$this->body_text=$text_on; $this->body_text1=$text_off; $this->body_protect=$text_get; $this->body_private=$text_go; } function display(){ echo "<b>$this->body_text</b><br>"; echo "<b>$this->body_text1</b><br>"; echo "<b>$this->body_protect</b><br>"; echo "<i>$this->body_private</i><br>"; } } $boxnew=new textboxbold("new Bold text", "text in bold","protected member","private"); $boxnew->display(); $boxnew->body_private="this is simple text taken from outside"; $boxnew->display(); $boxnew->test_new(); ?> please recommend, is it working as it should be hello all! my query, when executed, generates an error i don't understand. i've seen similar entries, but i couldn't find one that related to this particular problem. either that, or i'm a retard and didn't see it. apologies if that's the case. here's the error: --> Database Query Failed: Unknown column 'client_id' in 'where clause' <-- i triple checked the database table and, YUP, the column is correctly named "client_id" and it is an INT column, so it doesn't need to be encapsulated with single quotes. here's the code that makes it happen: <CODE> $clientID = $_SESSION['clientID']; $query = "SELECT * "; $query .= "FROM client_data "; $query .= "WHERE client_id = {$clientID} "; $query .= "LIMIT 1"; $results = mysql_query($query); </CODE> what. the. heck. thanks in advance gang. WR! This is a continuation of my previous post. I would like to be able to read the second column of a tab delimited txt file into a variable as a string. let's say i have: Code: [Select] somegarbage_here readthisinto$file I'm looking for this but all tuts seem to be about importing it to arrays and what not. I just want to import the second column. There is always one line. Hello, I'm having some issues with PHP thinking that the variables that I send it are the actual columns in my database. First, I pull off Quadratic_Functions and introductory_problem from http://localhost:8888/algebra_book/Chapters/Quadratic_Functions/introductory_problem.php using the code below: Code: [Select] $chapter_page = $_SERVER['PHP_SELF']; $chapter_page_array = explode('/',$chapter_page); $size =count($chapter_page_array); $chapter = $chapter_page_array[$size-2]; $page = $chapter_page_array[$size-1]; $page_array = explode('.', $page); $page = $page_array[0]; Based on my printing of the variables $chapter and $page I think that it's doing what I want it to do. I then use the following function: Code: [Select] $supplemental_id = getSupplementalId($dbRead,$chapter,$page); to check out if the there's a supplemental_id for the Quadratic_Function chapter and introductory_problem page name via: Code: [Select] function getSupplementalId($read,$user_id,$chapter,$page) { $sql = "SELECT supplemental_id FROM instructors_supplemental WHERE page_name = $page AND chapter_name='$chapter"; return $read->fetchRow($sql); } If I stick in actual values, as seen below, the thing runs fine. Code: [Select] $sql = "SELECT supplemental_id FROM instructors_supplemental WHERE page_name = 'introductory_problem' AND chapter_name='Quadratic_Functions'"; But if I run it in the abstract version, with variables for page and chapter name (the first version), I get Fatal error: Uncaught exception 'PDOException' with message 'SQLSTATE[42S22]: Column not found: 1054 Unknown column 'introductory_problem' in 'where clause'' in... It's almost as if it thinks that my variables are the names of the columns. Any thoughts would be appreciated.... The Code Below is for my Colony Building page for my game. That particular code is supposed to display the number of buildings built, which it does, and also allow me to change the number of buildings built, which it doesn't. The code is part of a loop that displays all the possible buildings of a given type, in this case Iron Mines, that can be built on the colony. Basically what I need to know is, how do I change the name of the column that is being updated as the code loops. Currently it is setting all the forms to alter the number of Basic iron mines on a colony. I am hoping I can somehow call the names of all the columns into an array and use the same code that picks which column value i am selecting, the $?(an array)[$b](an incrementing number to call the correct array value): $?[$b]. Then I would replace Basic, in the column part of the UPDATE code with the array and result selector so that the first time i include() the code it creates the form and sets it to alter Basic, but the second time it sets the code to alter the value in the next column. Code: [Select] <?php $dbhost = 'localhost:3306'; $dbuser = 'root'; $dbpass = 'root'; $dbname = 'aosdb'; $conn = mysql_connect($dbhost,$dbuser,$dbpass) or die ('Error connecting to mysql'); mysql_select_db($dbname); $b=1; $queryp = "SELECT * FROM IMBuilt WHERE idcol = $idcol"; $resultp = mysql_query($queryp); $Base = mysql_fetch_row($resultp); if(isset($_POST["built"])) { if($_POST) { $Badd = $Base[$b]+$_POST["built"]; $queryi="UPDATE IMBuilt SET Basic=$Badd WHERE idcol = $idcol"; mysql_query($queryi); } } $queryf = "SELECT * FROM IMBuilt WHERE idcol = $idcol"; $resultf = mysql_query($queryf); $Basic = mysql_fetch_row($resultf); ?> <p class="bd" id="built">| Built: <?php echo $Basic[$b] ?> |</p> <form class="bd" method="post" action="IronMineList.php"><input type="varchar" name="built"><input type="submit" value="Build"></form> </div> Hi everyone, Like the title says I need to count the amount of 1's in a column but I can't figure out how. Gr and thanx already Ryflex My Php Buddies, I have mysql tbl columns these:
id: Now, I want to display their row data by excluded a few columns. Want to exclude these columns: date_&_time account_activation_code account_activation_status id_verification_video_file_url password
So, the User's (eg. your's) homepage inside his account should display labels like these where labels match the column names but the underscores are removed and each words' first chars CAPITALISED:
Id: 1
For your convenience only PART 1 works. Need help on Part 2 My attempted code:
PART 1 <?php // Check connection if ($conn->connect_error) { die("Connection failed: " . $conn->connect_error); } // Query to get columns from table $query = $conn->query("SELECT COLUMN_NAME FROM INFORMATION_SCHEMA.COLUMNS WHERE TABLE_SCHEMA = 'members' AND TABLE_NAME = 'users'"); while($row = $query->fetch_assoc()){ $result[] = $row; } // Array of all column names $columnArr = array_column($result, 'COLUMN_NAME'); foreach ($columnArr as $value) { echo "<b>$value</b>: ";?><br><?php } ?> PART 2 <?php //Display User Account Details echo "<h3>User: <a href=\"user.php?user=$user\">$user</a> Details</h3>";?><br> <?php $excluded_columns = array("date_&_time","account_activation_code","account_activation_status","id_verification_video_file_url","password"); foreach ($excluded_columns as $value2) { echo "Excluded Column: <b>$value2</b><br>"; } foreach ($columnArr as $value) { if($value != "$value2") { $label = str_replace("_"," ","$value"); $label = ucwords("$label"); //echo "<b>$label</b>: "; echo "$_SESSION[$value]";?><br><?php echo "<b>$label</b>: "; echo "${$value}";?><br><?php } } ?> PROBLEM: Columns from the excluded list still get displayed. Edited November 19, 2018 by phpsaneI am trying to allow the user to update a variable he chooses by radio buttons, which they will then input text into a box, and submit, to change some attributes. I really need some help here. It works just fine until I add the second layer of variables on top of it, and I can't find the answer to this question anywhere. <?PHP require('connect.php'); ?> <form action ='' method='post'> <select name="id"> <?php $extract = mysql_query("SELECT * FROM cars"); while($row=mysql_fetch_assoc($extract)){ $id = $row['id']; $make= $row['make']; $model= $row['model']; $year= $row['year']; $color= $row['color']; echo "<option value=$id>$color $year $make $model</option> ";}?> </select> Which attribute would you like to change?<br /> <input type="radio" name="getchanged" value="make"/>Make<br /> <input type="radio" name="getchanged" value="model"/>Model<br /> <input type="radio" name="getchanged" value="year" />Year<br /> <input type="radio" name="getchanged" value="color" />Color<br /><br /> <br /><input type='text' value='' name='tochange'> <input type='submit' value='Change' name='submit'> </form> //This is where I need help... <?PHP if(isset($_POST['submit'])&&($_POST['tochange'])){ mysql_query(" UPDATE cars SET '$_POST[getchanged]'='$_POST[tochange]' where id = '$_POST[id]' ");}?> Hello all. I am very new to PHP, and I am not sure where to look or what I'm looking for in my current assignment. My task is to take in two numbers between 0-100. Once I take in that number, it should state beside it "The __ was accepted." The program should not accept any numbers greater than 100 or any characters. Once I do this, I must take a second number and do a similar thing. Finally, I must have a statement show up at the bottom stating which number is greater. Essentially, I need help in determining what I should use to place parameters, and how I can keep the program from echo ing any statement until input has been taken and tested for parameters. Any help you can provide will be greatly appreciated! My login script stores the user's login name as $_SESSION[ 'name'] on login. For some unapparent reason, i'm getting errors stating that $user and $priv are undefined variables, though I've attempted to define $user as being equal to $_SESSION['name'], using $user to look up the the user's privilege level (stored as the su column ) in the SQL table, and then where the result of the sql query is $priv which is then evaluated in an if statement. I can't seem to figure out why this might not be working. The code I'm using: <?php session_start(); function verify() { //verify that the user is logged in via the login page. Session_start has already been called. if (!isset($_SESSION['loggedin'])) { header('Location: /index.html'); exit; } //if user is logged in, we then lookup necessary privleges. $_SESSION['name'] was written with the login name upon login. Privleges // are written in db as a single-digit integer of of 0 for users, 1 for administrators, and 2 for special users. $user === $_SESSION['name']; //Connect to Databse $link = mysqli_connect("127.0.0.1", "database user", "password", "database"); if (!$link) { echo "Error: Unable to connect to MySQL." . PHP_EOL; echo "Debugging errno: " . mysqli_connect_errno() . PHP_EOL; echo "Debugging error: " . mysqli_connect_error() . PHP_EOL; exit; } //SQL Statement to lookup privlege information. if ($result = mysqli_query($link, "SELECT su FROM accounts WHERE username = $user", MYSQLI_STORE_RESULT)) { //LOOP TO CYCLE THROUGH SQL RESULTS AND STORE Privlege information as vairable $priv. while ($row = $result->fetch_assoc()) { $priv === $row["su"]; } } // close SQL connection. mysqli_close($link); // Verify privleges and take action. Only a privlege of "1" is allowed to view this page. A privlege of "2" indicates special //accounts used in other scripts that have certain indermediate additional functions, but are not trusted administrators. if ($priv !== 1) { echo $_SESSION['name']; echo "you have privlege level of $priv"; echo "<br>"; echo 'Your account does not have the privleges necessary to view this page'; exit; } } verify(); ?>
I have just re-installed Xampp and suddenly my sites are now displaying lots of: Notice: Use of undefined constant name - assumed 'name' in ... Notice: Use of undefined constant price - assumed 'price' in ... this is an example of the line its refering too: $defineProducts[1001] = array(name=>'This is a product', price=>123); Hello everyone, I can get Test 2 to successfully operate the if statement using a variable variable. But when I try the same method using a session variable (Test 1) the if statement is not executed. Please could you tell me why the if statement in Test 1 is not being executed? Code: [Select] <?php # TEST 1 $_SESSION[test_variable] = "abcd"; $session_variable_name = "_SESSION[test_variable]"; if ($$session_variable_name == "abcd") { echo "<br>line 373, abcd<br>"; } # TEST 2 $test_variable = "efgh"; $test_variable_name = "test_variable"; if ($$test_variable_name == "efgh") { echo "<br>line 379, efgh<br>"; } ?> Many thanks, Stu I have a form that creates rows of data input textboxes depending on a user input number of things. I have a naming convention for all these textboxes that basically just keeps incrementing a number suffix for each row. All this is working fine. My problem is I need to get the data inserted into this table of textboxes into an array. Here's my code where I attempt to to this (it does not work): Code: [Select] $temp = $_SESSION['Num_Part']; $count = 1; while ($count <= $temp){ $temp2[$count] = "'Participant_P".$count."'"; //echo $temp2[$count]."<br/>"; $temp3[$count]=$_POST[$temp2[$count]]; //here's the problem $temp4[$count] = "'Result_P".$count."'"; $temp5[$count]=$_POST[$temp4[$count]]; //here's the problem //echo $temp4[$count]."<br/>"; $count++; } The problem is that the $_POST does not work with the variable in the argument position - even though the argument is formatted with single quotes. Can a variable be used in a POST argument and if so what is the correct syntax? If not, is there some other simple solution to harvest the data into an array. I understand I can harvest by explicitly accessing each key in the post assoc array. But this could be dozens of rows of input fields. Thanks in advance for your help here. I couldn't find anything online re this topic. I have a script that adds points together based upon the placing. This is the actual script: Code: [Select] <? $points = 0; if($place === '1st') {$points = $points + 50;} elseif($place === '2nd') {$points = $points + 45;} elseif($place === '3rd') {$points = $points + 40;} elseif($place === '4th') {$points = $points + 35;} elseif($place === '5th') {$points = $points + 30;} elseif($place === '6th') {$points = $points + 25;} elseif($place === '7th') {$points = $points + 20;} elseif($place === '8th') {$points = $points + 10;} elseif($place === '9th') {$points = $points + 10;} elseif($place === '10th') {$points = $points + 10;} elseif($place === 'CH') {$points = $points + 50;} elseif($place === 'RCH') {$points = $points + 40;} elseif($place === 'TT') {$points = $points + 30;} elseif($place === 'T5') {$points = $points + 30;} elseif($place === 'Champion') {$points = $points + 50;} elseif($place === 'Reserve Champion') {$points = $points + 40;} echo "Total HF Points: $points"; ?>What it *should* do (my friend's script works the same way and it works) it starts at points = 0, than if there is a first place, it adds 50, and so forth until it reaches the end. It is included into a file, in this area: Code: [Select] <div class="tabbertab"> <h2>Records</h2> <? $query92 = "SELECT * FROM THISTABLE WHERE VARIABLE='$id' OR VARIABLE = '$name' ORDER BY ABS(VARIABLE), VARIABLE"; $result92 = mysql_query($query92) or die (mysql_error()); echo "<table class='record'> <tr><th>Show</th> <th>Class</th> <th>Place</th></tr> "; while($row92 = mysql_fetch_array($result92)) { $class = $row92['class']; $place = $row92['place']; $entries = $row92['entries']; $race = $row92['show']; $purse = number_format($row92['purse'],2); echo "<tr><td>$race</td> <td>$class</td> <td>$place</td></tr>"; } ?> <tr><td colspan='3'><div align='right'><? include('includes/points.php'); ?></div></td></tr> </table> </div> This is the code that is relevant. When ended here, it echoes the last place that appears in the results (such as a 5th place echoing 30 points). When I move it to be included in the while loop, it shows Total Points: 50 Total Points: 25 Total Points: 10 (depending on the results displayed on that page). What am I doing wrong? Hi, i am learning WordPress and have just started, but i have a problem....when i try to access my site i get this: Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /home/smra9/public_html/wp-content/themes/evanescence/functions.php:6) in /home/smra9/public_html/wp-includes/pluggable.php on line 890 when i open pluggable.php and i go to the line 890 it says: header("Location: $location", true, $status); i will also copy a text from line 885 to 890 so maybe you will understand better: if ( $is_IIS ) { header("Refresh: 0;url=$location"); } else { if ( php_sapi_name() != 'cgi-fcgi' ) status_header($status); // This causes problems on IIS and some FastCGI setups header("Location: $location", true, $status); } Can anyone help me, i don't know what to do Hey Guys.
I have a class named CoreCartFunctions. In the class there is a protected property named $menu_item_id which is initialized as null.
A method named GetMenuItemId assigns the $menu_item_id its value. I have tested it out using the following, to see if a value got returned and it did
fb($menu_item_id->GetMenuItemId(), "This is the menu id");The problem is when I access the property from a different public method in the same class it dones't return anything. fb($menu_item_id->DisplayMenuItems());It only returns something when I hard code a value to it.... Not sure why this is happening. Here is my full code. Please not the example below may have some syntax errors since I just copied and paste pieces of my code, to show a quick and dirty example. class CoreCartFunctions { protected $menu_item_id = NULL; public static $items; //Equal to the a long session string protected function GetMenuItemId() { foreach (self::$items as $menu_item_id_session) { /*********************************** Get the id of the menu item item ************************************/ $this->menu_item_id = preg_match_all('/\-(.*?)\*/',$menu_item_id_session,$match_found)?$match_found[1][0]:""; // The following line shows example of above line // $menu_item_id = "12"; public function DisplayMenuItems(){ return $this->menu_item_id; // Doesn't return Item ID } } I'm currently learning PHP and I think I have a decent grasp of procedural programming so I'm trying to set it up a little bit and get a hang of OOP. I'm finding it a little tough going but I am making progress, the syntax and coding of it is fine but I don't quite get some theory and the best way to use it yet. It's only my third day in but I have a question relating to access modifiers. It's a simple one, but what is the point? That may sound a bit narky but I keep hearing and reading that it's good programming convention but it's never really explained why. What am I missing? I get how they work but I don't really get why to use them. I've even read that private should only be rarely used, if at all as it makes testing harder and it stops you from being able to extend your classes. I'm not against using them - I want to learn to program to the very best of my ability but I'm eager to learn what benefits it actually has. Is there a technical reason, for example? Hi, I want to control a variable (decide whether to track click if coming from a specific site oppose to hitting the final site (destination) directly. For example: www.portal.com - this will be a management site that will redirect viewers to the the final destination based on variable info - for exmample $a=123 or $a= 567 - which would come in as www.portal.com?a=123 or www.portal.com?a=567 Note: 123 would redirect to www.abc.com?a=123 and/or 567 would redirect to www.xyz.com?a=567 with said variable(s). ------ My question is this: What is the best method to authenticate (both on) www.abc.com and/or www.xyz.com that the referred viewer came from www.portal.com? I know about the super globals (HTTP_REFERER) but want to know if there are other (more) secure method to manage this interaction between external domains /websites? Any insight on this appreciated - thanks! Hi I'm after a solution to a problem I have. I'm building a small site for charity which the the client wants to email(with a url link) to say 1000 selected companies but only wants them to be able to view the site and register interest and not anyone else or if they forward the mail to a non prefered client? Any help to point me in the right direction would be good thank-you. Hello, folks. I am having a little trouble with this script. I want it to be able to read a directory, not just a file, and list all files in the directory along with their id3 tags. I can't get it to read all the files, it reads only the first file in the directory. Here, I'm posting the basic (stripped down) script, without mods or add-ons. I would appreciate any help. Thanks.
