PHP - Date Into Form Field With Button?

I have tried a large number of "solutions" to  this but everytime I use them I see 0000-00-00 in my date field instead of  the date even though I echoed and can see that the date looks correct.

Here's where I'm at:
I have a drop down for the month (1-12) and date fields (1-31) as well as a text input field for the year.  Using the POST array, I  have combined them into the xxxx-xx-xx format that I am using in my field as a date field in mysql.

This outputs 2012-5-7 in my test echo but 0000-00-00 in the database.

I have tried unsuccessfully to use in a numberof suggested versions of:
strtotime()
mktime

Any help would be extremely appreciated.
I am aware that I need to validate this data and insure  that it is a valid date. That I'm okay with. I would like some help on getting it into the database.

Okay, I have a field called "created" in my `users` table, and I'd like to be able to view it in-game on an administrator panel. However, it's being captured in a long number format (i.e. 1335076320) which, I believe, has to deal with seconds and such.

How can I take that number and convert it to an actual date/time output?

Here's how I currently have it coded in my php form:

So, obviously it's not converting it to any format, rather just pulling that 1335076320 number out.

Here is one part of php code. Here I try to show in last 1 month which dates exactly user made orders. When I run the SQL code in command prompt it works. I think problem is in while loop.

Hi all,   I have a search page where I'd like members to be able to search for races that they and their friends have entered into a database. When entering the data, users put the race date into the race_date field (Which is a DATETIME field) in the table.   I've set up the search and display pages, so users can search by a number of other criteria (first name, last name, race distance, time, etc), but am having trouble with searching by year. On my search form, is a field called race_year.   So, obviously I need some change in the code below, specifically in relation to the line $where .= " AND race_date='$race_year'"; because I want to extract the year part of the race_date column from the table and see if it matches $race_year .   Any advice would be appreciated.   Cheers, Dave

the data types for upddate is mysql date and for updtime its mysql time

I have a comment section. It is comprised of 3 major files. One file creates the form where you fill in your name and comment. Another file sends your comment to the DB. The third file displays the already existing comments on the page. You have the option to reply to the existing comments on the page. When you click the reply button I would like the comment text box to light up so the user knows its working but I have hit a brick wall.    This is the comment form the user actually types into:

Is there a way that you can disable a button at a set date and time?   For example, my work has a competition site running and I want to give people the option to change their weekly selections by clicking on an edit button up to 6pm on a certain Friday. After this time it either disappears or is just made inactive.   ie:   Comp 1 -> 'Edit' then disable after 6:00pm 2nd Jan Comp 2 -> 'Edit' then disable after 6:00pm 9th Jan Comp 3 -> 'Edit' then disable after 6:00pm 16th Jan etc....   I am not even sure where to start with this one.

I have read around and can't seem to find the right coding for what I need on this forum and some other other forums.

I have a contact form (as listed below) and I need 2 locations (Print Name and Title) fields to auto-populate on a separate form (can be a doc, pdf, etc. any form of document which is easiest) and this form can be totally back end and the individual using the form never is going to see the form.

Stumped!  I have a client who has a form where they upload files to their server: title, two password fields, and the file They have been unable to upload anything over 10m   Small (under 10mb) files work. I need a calendar that is setup if you select a date that is within a 7 days of the current date then a radio button the the page is not available to be selected.

I have a calendar select date function for my form that returns the date in the calendar format for USA: 02/16/2012.  I need to have this appear as is for the form and in the db for the 'record_date' column, but I need to format this date in mysql DATE format (2012-02-16) and submit it at the same time with another column name 'new_date' in the database in a hidden input field.  Is there a way to do this possibly with a temporary table or something?

Any ideas would be welcome.

Any idea how I can get that form data in my php file? For example I am trying to use regex preg_match_all to extract the form_key, but get_file_contents doesnt show the <form></form>
