PHP - Override Script Generated Table Data
Hi there,
I have a timetable plugin that shows booking entries.
The times are generated dynamically by the plugin.
Now I have the situation where I need to override the automatically created time that shows in a table row.
Here's the HTML code generated by the plugin:
<tr class="row_12"> <td class="tt_hours_column">00:00</td>Ist it possible to have a simple PHP script that does the following (please forgive my noobiness) ? if table row is "row_12" then insert "my own pre-defined time" Please don't hate on me, I know I have not the slightest idea about php. I'm just wondering how to solve my plugin problem and if PHP is the right way to do it. I highly appreciate any feedback from you guys Similar TutorialsHi guys, Im making an event booking/reservation site, I have 5 tables (Malls, Events, Booking, Reservation and Users) which are all connected and doing fine. I created a function which is this... function select_all_events_by_mall_id($mall_id) { echo "<table id='event_table'>"; echo "<th>Event Name</th>"; echo "<th>Event Location</th>"; echo "<th>Number of Cars</th>"; echo "<th>Description</th>"; echo "<th>Booked</th>"; echo "<th>Reserved</th>"; echo "<th>Reserved Until</th>"; echo "<th>Vacant</th>"; $events_set = select_all_events($mall_id); while($events = mysql_fetch_array($events_set)) { echo "<tr>"; echo "<td>" . $events['event_name'] . "</td>"; echo "<td>" . $events['event_location'] . "</td>"; echo "<td>" . $events['number_of_cars'] . "</td>"; echo "<td>" . $events['description'] . "</td>"; // Booked echo "<td>"; $booked_set = select_all_booking($events['id']); while($booked = mysql_fetch_array($booked_set)) { $user_set = select_all_user_booked($booked['users_id']); while($user = mysql_fetch_array($user_set)) { echo $user['company'] . ", " . $user['branch'] . "<br />"; } } echo "</td>"; // Reserved echo "<td>"; echo "<ol>"; $reserved_set = select_all_reservation($events['id']); while($reserved = mysql_fetch_array($reserved_set)) { if(empty($reserved['events_id'])) { echo "No Reservation's "; } else { $reserved_user = select_all_user_reserved($reserved['users_id']); while($user_set = mysql_fetch_array($reserved_user)) { echo "<li>" . $user_set['brand'] . ", " . $user_set['branch'] . "</li>"; } } } echo "</ol>"; echo "</td>"; // Expiration Date echo "<td>"; echo "<ol>"; $reserved_set = select_all_reservation($events['id']); while($reserved = mysql_fetch_array($reserved_set)) { $reserved_user = select_all_user_reserved($reserved['users_id']); while($user_set = mysql_fetch_array($reserved_user)) { $exp_date = select_all_expiration_date($user_set['id']); while($date = mysql_fetch_array($exp_date)) { echo "<li>" . $date['expiration_date'] . "</li>"; } } } echo "</ol>"; echo "</td>"; //Vacant echo "<td>"; $vacant_set = select_all_booking($events['id']); $booking_count = mysql_num_rows($vacant_set); $reserved_count = mysql_num_rows($reserved_set); $total_count = $booking_count + $reserved_count; $vacant = $events['number_of_cars'] - $total_count; if($vacant < 0) { echo "This Event is fully booked"; } else { echo $vacant; } echo"</td>"; echo "</tr>"; } echo "</table>"; } The function starts by receiving an id from picking a mall name from a select tag. It works fine, it outputs the data on the page like i want it to, but my problem is that i need a way to add a submit or any button to each generated row that will, when clicked will insert the event id and user id (who clicked it) to my booking/reservation table as a new row. I tried adding a form inside my function and saving the event id every loop but when i click the submit button i think it doesn't work (or i made a mistake).. Sorry if my coding sucks, I'm kinda new in php. Sorry if its kinda confusing my head is spinning right now from thinking this stuff the whole day.. Thanks in advance for any comments and ideas. Hi, I have a database (mysql). In the database is a table with categories (categories_id, categories_name etc). I also have another table (products table) which gets filled using a html form. That table holds category info too. What I am trying to do (without any luck) is when the form is processed, it will populate the table with the new data, then I need it to compare the 2 tables to see if the category fields from both tables have a match. If there is a match in the tables then send an email to people who has asked to be notified when new product has been added that matches a particular criteria. For example, if someone adds a product to the category 'Landscapers', with a location 'Dorset'... I would like to be able to email all the registered tradespeople in Dorset about the new product. I know this should be something quite simple, but I cant seem to get my head around it. Any pointers would be fantastic. Many thanks DB Hello, I know i'm new, i hope it wont stop you guys from putting 5 minutes of your time to help me out. I need a script to get some data from mysql and put this into a table. i have a mysql database called "denora" In there is a table called "chan" In table chan are the columns: chanid (unique number), channel, currentusers, mode_ls I would like the script to make a html table that lists the top10 channels (most "currentusers" on top) And when "mode_ls" is "Y" it must not be shown (secret channel) My knowledge of php and mysql arent that great so i really hope someone takes the time to help me uit Kind regards Stefan Not sure how to do this at all... I'm creating a page with a form to edit existing info in two tables in the database. I need to pre-check some checkboxes and I don't know how. The first query query_selectguest below puts data into the form just fine. query_checked looks in the second table for any rows that match the discount id. Then further down in the form, I have a php snippet that pulls all the classes from a third database. As I'm echoing these out to the page, I want them to be pre-checked if they match a result found in $result_checked here's what I have right now... Code: [Select] $query_selectguest = 'SELECT * FROM tbl_discount WHERE discount_id='.$passedID; $result_guest = mysql_query($query_selectguest); $g_row = mysql_fetch_array($result_guest); $query_checked = 'SELECT * FROM active_discounts WHERE disc_id='.$passedID; $result_checked = mysql_query($query_checked); $h_row = mysql_fetch_array($result_checked); ?> <form name="form1" method="post" action="update_discount.php" onSubmit="return validate_form()"> <input name="discount_name" type="text" class="input" id="subject" size="50" maxlength="100" value="<? print $g_row['discount_name'] ?>"> <input name="discount_amount" type="text" class="input" id="subject" size="5" maxlength="3" value="<? print $g_row['discount_amount'] ?>"> <!-- here's what I'm concerned with --> This discount applies to these classes:<br> <?php $quer4=mysql_query("SELECT workshop_id, workshop_title FROM tbl_workshops order by workshop_title"); while($row4 = mysql_fetch_array($quer4)) { echo "<input type='checkbox' name='workshop_link_1[]' value='".$row4[workshop_id]."'>".$row4[workshop_title]."<BR>"; } ?> Hey all, Let's say if all of the data in the site is the result of queries from the database that are output as html by php as users interact with the site. For example, there's no home.php file. Rather user clicks the link to view the page, and a php script pulls data from database and renders the page at that time. There is no javascript involved in this process. Would this page be crawlable by google? Thanks for response. Hello to all, I have problem figuring out how to properly display data fetched from MySQL database in a HTML table. In the below example I am using two while loops, where the second one is nested inside first one, that check two different expressions fetching data from tables found in a MySQL database. The second expression compares the two tables IDs and after their match it displays the email of the account holder in each column in the HTML table. The main problem is that the 'email' row is displayed properly while its while expression is not nested and alone(meaning the other data is omitted or commented out), but either nested or neighbored to the first while loop, it is displayed horizontally and the other data ('validity', 'valid_from', 'valid_to') is not displayed.'
Can someone help me on this, I guess the problem lies in the while loop? <thead> <tr> <th data-column-id="id" data-type="numeric">ID</th> <th data-column-id="email">Subscriber's Email</th> <th data-column-id="validity">Validity</th> <th data-column-id="valid_from">Valid From</th> <th data-column-id="valid_to">Valid To</th> </tr> </thead> Here is part of the PHP code:
<?php while($row = $stmt->fetch(PDO::FETCH_ASSOC)) { echo ' <tr> <td>'.$row["id"].'</td> '; while ($row1 = $stmt1->fetch(PDO::FETCH_ASSOC)) { echo ' <td>'.$row1["email"].'</td> '; } if($row["validity"] == 1) { echo '<td>'.$row["validity"].' month</td>'; }else{ echo '<td>'.$row["validity"].' months</td>'; } echo ' <td>'.$row["valid_from"].'</td> <td>'.$row["valid_to"].'</td> </tr>'; } ?>
Thank you. I can add and delete data from my table. Now I need to be able to change one or more fields in an entry. So I want to retrieve a row from the db, display that data on a form where the user can change any field and then pass the changed data to an update.php program. I know how to go from form to php. But how do I pass the data from retrieve.php to a form so it will display? Do I use a URL and Get? Can I put the retrieve and form in the same program? Hey everyone. I am creating a website so my family can select from the list of present my daugther has asked for. I have them logging in, and that works. I have the table data set and the search and table display works. But I would like to display the list (as in the code below) but with a checkbox in the first column (add a column). From that the authenticated user can click on the item they have purchased and that selection will be moved to another table (called purchased). I have that code. The only thing I cannot figure out is to present the data in list form with a checkbox (like you would see on an order form). Here is the display code (there is no error checking at this point): <head><LINK REL="SHORTCUT ICON" HREF="cmwschl.ico"></head> <body bgcolor="#C0C0C0"> <font face="Arial" color="#000080">Books from the Selected Series</font> </h1> <hr font color="Navy" font size="3"> <center> <table border="1" cellpadding="5" cellspacing="0" bordercolor="#000000"> <tr> <td width="170" bgcolor="#FFCC66"><center><b><font color="navy" size="2" face="Trebuchet MS"><b><center>Book Number</center></font></b></center></td> <td width="140" bgcolor="#FFCC66"><center><b><font color="navy" size="2" face="Trebuchet MS"><b><center>Book Group</center></font></b></center></td> <td width="100" bgcolor="#FFCC66"><center><b><font color="navy" size="2" face="Trebuchet MS"><b><center>Book Title</center></font></b></center></td> </tr> <?php $con = mysql_connect("localhost","twilson","R00tb33r!") or die('Connection: ' . mysql_error());; mysql_select_db("CMWWeb", $con) or die('Database: ' . mysql_error()); ?> <? $group = $_POST['bookgrp']; //if ($Prod <> 0) { $sql = "SELECT * FROM `OpenBooks` WHERE `bookgrp`= '$group'"; $results = mysql_query($sql); if ($results) { //this will check if the query failed or not if (mysql_num_rows($results) > 0) { //this will check if results were returned while($copy = mysql_fetch_array($results)) { $variable1=$copy['booknum']; $variable2=$copy['bookgrp']; $variable3=$copy['booktitle']; //table layout for results print ("<tr>"); print ("<td><center>$variable1</center></td>"); print ("<td><center>$variable2</center></td>"); print ("<td><left>$variable3</left></td>"); print ("</tr>"); } } else { echo "No results returned"; } } else { echo "Query error: ".mysql_error(); } mysql_close($con); ?> </table> </center> hello friends I'm dealing with this problem for two days. Edited by nogai, 10 October 2014 - 07:01 AM. I have a function which echos an array output, which creates links on a page related to that page. It all works well, but the CSS is making the links blue and purple as standard, and I want to overwrite this to make the links white. What can I add to the code to overwrite the style of the echo? The font size is working, but the colour is being overridden. The code I currently have is: echo "<p> <font color='ffffff' size='4pt'>$echo</font></p>";

Hi guys, I'm sending mail from php running on a cheap webhost with the following: Code: [Select] $to = 'name@domain.com.au'; $header = 'MIME-Version: 1.0' . "\r\n"; $header .= 'Content-type: text/html; charset=iso-8859-1' . "\r\n"; $header .= "From: Name <noreply@domain.info>" . "\r\n"; $subject = "Interest registered"; $message = "<!DOCTYPE HTML.. a bunch of html"; mail($to, $subject, $message, $header); As you can see I've set "from" in the headers. When I receive the email however, it says from: myusername@my.cheaphost.com on behalf of Name [noreply@domain.info] I need to get rid of the on behalf bit as it looks completely unprofessional. I just want it to say from: Name [noreply@domain.info] Obviously this is probably something to do with the setup of the server, some of which I have no control over. I have access to another mail server which I can use to send email, so I put this at the start of my code: Code: [Select] ini_set('SMTP', 'mail.myotherserver.com.au'); echo ini_get('SMTP'); Which returns mail.myotherserver.com.au however, when I use the mail function, it still comes from myusername@my.cheaphost.com on behalf of Name [noreply@domain.info] Is there something I'm missing, is the mail function not tied to the SMTP value? Thanks Do any of you know how to override the php.ini file on a webhost to allow uploads using php to be set for 2gig mx file size? .htaccess is not working and my host says it supports changing the php.ini but nothing seems to be working. Hello PHP Freaks,
I think this is just if else statement problem but im kinda lose to it.

<?php // connect to the database include 'Connect.php'; // confirm that the 'student_id' variable has been set if (isset($_GET['student_id']) && is_numeric($_GET['student_id'])) { // get the 'student_id' variable from the URL $student_id = $_GET['student_id']; // delete record from database if ($stmt = $mysql->prepare("DELETE FROM student_information WHERE student_id = ? LIMIT 1")) { $stmt->bind_param("i",$student_id); $stmt->execute(); $stmt->close(); } else { echo "ERROR: could not prepare SQL statement."; } $mysql->close(); // redirect user after delete is successful header("Location: Admin_Home.php"); } else // if the 'student_id' variable isn't set, redirect the user { header("Location: Admin_Home.php"); } ?>Please help me modify these codes and where to put the missing line/s of codes. I have then asked for that data to be emailed to me using the POST action in conjunction with a PHP script called "carparkprocess2.php". At the moment, the form works OK on the web page, the confirmation message to say the data has been submitted successfully works OK, but the email that should display the information entered into the form doesn't work properly. It comes through and is formatted OK, but the form information is missing. I've been trying to resolve this issue for 2 days straight now and have tried loads of different things! Can anybody help?
