PHP - Cannot Store Selected Form Row Items In Variables
Hi guys,
Similar TutorialsI have a webpage where all the database items are displyes in a table format. The table also has a check box.Upon clicking the delete button i need to delete all the items whish has the checkbox checked. How will i do that The Script:
<form method="post" action="<?php echo $_SERVER['PHP_SELF'] ?>"> <input type="text" name="hashtags" /> <input type="submit" name="submit" /> </form> <?php include("connect.php"); ?> <?php if(isset($_POST['submit'])){ $hashtags = explode(", ", $_POST['hashtags']); for($i= 0; $i < count($hashtags); $i++){ $tqs = "SELECT `id` FROM `hashtags_two` WHERE `hashtags` = '" . $hashtags[$i] . "'"; $tqr = mysqli_query($dbc, $tqs) or die(mysqli_error($dbc)); } $fetch_array = array(); while($row = mysqli_fetch_array($tqr)){ $fetch_array[] = $row['id']; } }Hey, sorry for these fundamental array questions lately, I am not going to ask much more when it comes to this. The hashtags come from the submit form (separated by commas) and get stored inside an array with the "explode()" function. The script should select the ID numbers of the hashtags from the table. With the script above only the last row gets inserted into $fetch_array inside the while loop. When the $fetch_array variable is printed on screen then only one ID number can be seen inside the array: Array ( [0] => 24 )How can I have the other ID numbers too? Hi guys! I'm trying to make a <select> button for car positions which displays a set of numbers like 1-5 or 1-10 so on.. I need to remove the numbers that is already been selected. Selected numbers are stored in the database and i fetch them in a simple query then compared it to the max number of cars. I have this code, it kinda works but it shows the number 1 which is already been selected. Selected numbers are 1 and 3, it successfully removes number 3 but not 1, The output is 1,2,4,5,6,7,8,9,10 I added some comments for clarity.. Code: [Select] function position_available($event_id, $number_of_cars) // receives id for ref. in the database { $selected_positions = check_selected_positions($event_id); // query to get selected positions while($positions = mysql_fetch_array($selected_positions)) { $position = array(); array_push($position, $positions['car_position']); // 'car position' is the name of the field } for($i = 1; $i <= $number_of_cars; $i++) // $number_of_cars is the total number of cars { if(! in_array($i, $position)) echo "<option value='{$i}'>" . $i . "</option>"; } } Did i miss something simple? thanks for the help in advance! Is it possible to add up a bunch of selected rows? For example, something like this: $sql = "SELECT (and add up) weight FROM store WHERE id LIKE $id" (there are multiple $id's) Obviously that isn't the answer - but hopefully it gives an idea of what I'm after. Thanks Jack I have say about 7 different interests and beside each interest I want a check box. How would I go about having multiple check boxes checked so I can remove however many interests at one time... For example: [Checked] Hockey Soccer Baseball [Checked] Basketball And the remove all selected button would remove the checked interests. Thanks, Sean Hi first tyvm for reading my help request me and my friend ar trying to build a order form (see png file ^^) so the main idea is some on go to order form.php

0 downloads Hi,
I am building a website that will contain listings, there will be a categories page which will bring the user to the subcategories for that category then the user can see all listings linked to that subcategory. At the minute I am just linking each page using basic href tags to go to the page name.php and all my pages end up being homepage.com/clickedlink.php.
How do I change my URL's so that if i click on a certain category the url changes to page name.php?category=chosen category?
Thanks
Ok here is what i got so far and now I am stuck. The user enters a number of how many squares (rectangles is note accurate) they wish to calculate. If its between 1 and 100 it continues, if its any other number it tells you to put in a number between 1 and 100. That was easy for me to do. If the number is between 1 and 100 it creates and input for length, width and height of each rectangle. creating the variables as it goes, i.e. "length$i" when $i is the while counter and increases to the ammount of rectangles you wished to view. Again, not that hard for me. So I am at the point where is I put in 50 I get length1 - through length30, width1 - width50, and height1 - height50. THis works great. However I now what to store those variables and calculate the area of each one via a while look which again creates an area$i variable which can be added (it would create area1 - area50 which I then wish to add together) Here is what I have so far. <?php session_start(); if (isset($_REQUEST['numpack'])) { if ($_REQUEST['numpack'] <= 0 || $_REQUEST['numpack'] > 100 ) { $error = "Please enter a number between 1 and 100"; echo $error; ?> <form action="<?php $_SERVER['PHP_SELF']; ?>" method="post"> <table width="0" border="0" cellspacing="5" cellpadding="5"> <tr> <td colspan="2">How many Squares</td> </tr> <tr> <td> <input name="numpack" type="text" size="4" maxlength="3"></td> <td><input type="submit" name="button" id="button" value="Submit"></td> </tr> </table> </form> <?php } else { ?> <form name="form2" method="post" action="<?php $_SERVER['PHP_SELF']; ?>"> <?php $i=1; while($i<=ceil($_REQUEST['numpack'])) { ?> <table width="325" border="0" cellspacing="5" cellpadding="5" style="float: left;" class="aluminium"> <tr> <td align="center" rowspan="2"><span class="transparent" style="color: #FFF; font-weight: bold;"><?=$i; ?>.</span></td> <td align="center">L</td> <td align="center">x</td> <td align="center">W</td> <td align="center">x</td> <td align="center">H</td> </tr> <tr> <td align="center"><input name="length<?=$i; ?>" type="text" size="4" maxlength="3"></td> <td align="center">x</td> <td align="center"><input name="width<?=$i; ?>" type="text" size="4" maxlength="3"></td> <td align="center">x</td> <td align="center"><input name="height<?=$i; ?>" type="text" size="4" maxlength="3"></td> </tr> </table> <?php $i++; } ?> </form> <?php } } If (!isset($_REQUEST['numpack'])) { ?> <form action="<?php $_SERVER['PHP_SELF']; ?>" method="post"> <table width="0" border="0" cellspacing="5" cellpadding="5"> <tr> <td colspan="2">How many Squares</td> </tr> <tr> <td> <input name="numpack" type="text" size="4" maxlength="3"></td> <td><input type="submit" name="button" id="button" value="Submit"></td> </tr> </table> </form> <?php } ?> Now I was reading up on session data and think this might be the best way to go, but again how do I do this? and two I want to make sure that if there are 2 people accessing it at the same time, it does not change the variables on them... (i.e. user one puts in 50 values, and user two puts in 50 different values I do not want cross contamination) Any ideas on how to proceed? Hello, If I have this string: $tags="baseball glove face" (this can vary from 1 to 15 different words) how would i loop through and divide these into different $tag1=baseball $tag2=glove $tag3=face .. and so on (if more words) Thanks for help Hi there I have a MySQL database table that has multiple records which look like (1, Which of these are your favorite color(s)?, Red||Blue||Orange||Green, question-type1 ) I have written some PHP code in extracting that data into a HTML form. (The above data looks like a question with multiple options (radio buttons/checkboxes) below it). Below is what I'm trying to achieve: When the action is Submit: store the question number, user responses of the options , time stamp and user name into a new database table. I came to know that passing arrays will do the job, but I got stuck in the middle. Please see the attached documents that has the code. TIA [attachment deleted by admin] Hey guys, I'm going to start working on a simple php/mysql project, and wondering if you guys could point me in the right direction. Here is what I want to do: 1. User is presented with a simple form asking a series of questions (including email address) 2. Based on the answers, a specific download link is emailed to the user 3. store all inputted information in the database. I'm still not sure if I want the email process to be automated, or "held" until the information is reviewed, then download link sent. Does anyone know if a script already exist for this? I don't need to create user accounts, I just want to obtain user information every time they want to download something. Thanks for any help. I have a form on our website that a user can fill out for custom product. I want the form data to be 1) stored into a mysql database AND after storing said data, 2) email the same data to our sales department. 1) The form data DOES get stored into mysql database (except for the first two fields, for some weird reason) 2) I added a "mail" section to the php file that stores the data into the database, but it is not working correctly. I have stripped the email portion down to sending just one of the fields in the "message" to make it easier for troubleshooting I have included here, both the form section of the html file, and the formdata.php file that processes the data for your analysis. I am relatively new to php so there are going to be some issues with security, but I can work on those after I get the store & email process to work correctly. Please review my code and see if anyone can be of assistance. I looked through the forums and couldn't find another issue that was the same as mine. If I just overlooked, please tell me the thread post #. I have two different codes , 1) This code takes form entries 'website','caption' and 'name' and stores it into the Table named as 'user_info' into mysql database. This page is saved as index.php 2) This code can add add new category as a root or a child of existing category with update(edit & delete) option. This page is saved as categories.php Both codes are working(except upload function),but what i want to do is to combine the both forms (Items and category) into one page so that a user can add : webite :Its any URL caption: Description of website name: name of the person Add category:choosing existing category Add new category:If not exist add new category Tell me how can i combine both codes so that my item entries display under their categories???? 1) code for items -stores in Table 'user_info' <html> <head> <style type="text/css"> body { margin-left: 10.5%; margin-right: 10%; margin-top: 1%;} </style> <style type="text/css"> .italic { font-style:italic; color: #336666; font-family: Calibri; padding:20px; } .bold { font-weight:bold; } </style> <title>submit Bookmarks</title> </head> <body background="wrapper.png"> <form action="index.php" method="post"> <font face="Calibri">Add Your Links Here: </font> <input name="website" maxlength="100" size="58" value="http://www."> <p><font face="Calibri">Description: </font> <input name="caption" maxlength="100" size="58"> </p> <p><font face="Calibri">Your Name: </font> <input name="name" maxlength="100" size="28"> <input type="submit" name="Submit" value="Submit"> <font size="4"> </font></p> <p><font size="4"> OR </font><font color="#008080" size="2"><b><a href="soon.html"> <span style="text-decoration: none"><font color="#008080" face="Calibri">Upload</font></span></a></b></font>|<i><font size="2" face="Calibri">upload your Bookmarks from your computer. e.g., , .Csv,.txt or .mdb files.</font></i></p> <form action='upload.php' method='post'> <input type="hidden" name="sel_file" /> <font face="Calibri">Choose a file: </font> <input name="uploaded_file" type="file" /> <input type="submit" value="Upload" /> </form> </p> </form> </body></html> <?php $hostname = "localhost"; // usually is localhost, but if not sure, check with your hosting company, if you are with webune leave as localhost $db_user = "username"; // change to your database password $db_password = "Password"; // change to your database password $database = "database-name"; // provide your database name $db_table = "user_info"; // # STOP HERE #################################################################### # THIS CODE IS USED TO CONNECT TO THE MYSQL DATABASE $db = mysql_connect($hostname, $db_user, $db_password); mysql_select_db($database,$db); ?> <html> <head> <title>Add Your Bookmarks Here</title> </head> <body> <?php if (isset($_REQUEST['Submit'])) { # THIS CODE TELL MYSQL TO INSERT THE DATA FROM THE FORM INTO YOUR MYSQL TABLE $sql = "INSERT INTO $db_table(name,website,caption) values ('".mysql_real_escape_string(stripslashes($_REQUEST['name']))."','".mysql_real_escape_string(stripslashes($_REQUEST['website']))."','".mysql_real_escape_string(stripslashes($_REQUEST['caption']))."')"; $query_auto = "INSERT INTO user_info (entry_date, col_date) VALUE ('DATE: Auto CURDATE()', CURDATE() )"; if($result = mysql_query($sql ,$db)) { echo 'Thank you, your information has been entered into our database<br><br>'; } else { echo "ERROR: ".mysql_error(); } } else { ?> <?php } ?> <?php if(isset($_POST['SUBMIT'])) { $fname = $_FILES['sel_file']['name']; $chk_ext = explode(".",$fname); if(strtolower($chk_ext[1]) == "csv") { $filename = $_FILES['sel_file']['tmp_name']; $handle = fopen($filename, "r"); while (($data = fgetcsv($handle, 1000, ",")) !== FALSE) { $sql = "INSERT into user_info(name,website,caption) values('$data[0]','$data[1]','$data[2]')"; mysql_query($sql) or die(mysql_error()); } fclose($handle); echo "Successfully Imported"; } else { echo "Invalid File"; } } ?> <?php $result = mysql_query("select * from user_info ORDER BY CUR_TIMESTAMP desc"); // Database Query result ?> <?php while ($row = mysql_fetch_array ($result)) { $i++; if ($i & 1) { echo " <div class='color1'> <br/> <span class='bold'>Website:</span> <span class='normalfont' ><a href='" . $row['website'] . I think it's something like a shopping cart but without a need to process a payment. I want to list items (like a soccer ball, a basket ball, etc.) and allow the user to select the size of the ball, the color, the number of balls, etc. I want the user to be able to select 1 item or many items. Once they are done, they would hit submit, and the data would get sent to an email address. Do I need to use a session to do this? I was trying to work with this code: Code: [Select] <?php session_start(); session_register('product'); session_register('amount'); $_SESSION['product'] = $_POST['product']; $_SESSION['amount'] = $_POST['amount']; //SEND THE EMAIL CODE HERE ???? ?> <form method="post" action=""> <input type="text" size="10" name="product"><br /> <input type="text" size="10" name="amount"><br /> <input type="submit" value="Finish"> </form> But I'm pretty sure I'm not in the ballpark on how to do this. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks in advance. This topic has been moved to PHP Freelancing. http://www.phpfreaks.com/forums/index.php?topic=347660.0 if the session is true $_SESSION['frommonth'] i want it to show the selected session Code: [Select] <select name="from_month" id="from_month"> <option value="<?php echo $_SESSION['frommonth'];?>" selected="selected">mm</dd> <?for ($i=1;$i<=12;$i++):?> <option value="<?=$i?>"><?=$months[$i]?></dd> <?endfor;?> </select> how could i do this? I need my select dropdown to show the relevant option. I am using a GET action to pass the id of an article to another page (edit article page) with this i am selecting that specific record and passing it's data into form object in order to be modified and updated. The only issue is my category list is a dropdown and i need it to display the relivent category for that specific record. hope that makes sence I got a form which people can use to send a request for information to one or more recipients, depending on which recipients have been selected in the form. At the moment the HTML checkboxes all have a different name attribute and e-mails are sent using an if statement: <input type="checkbox" name="mr-a" value="A" /> A<br /> <input type="checkbox" name="mr-b" value="B" /> B<br /> <input type="checkbox" name="mr-c" value="C" /> C<br /> if (isset($_POST['mr-a'])) { // Send e-mail to A } if (isset($_POST['mr-b'])) { // Send e-mail to B } if (isset($_POST['mr-c'])) { // Send e-mail to C } I'm sure there's a much better way of doing this, and I think I should start by creating an array of checkboxes. But I can't figure out how to then use a loop to send the e-mails. Here's the code I got so far. I'm hoping that all I need is a loop where is says 'Send e-mails using a foreach loop?': <?php // Minimal validation: if (isset($_POST['submit'])) { $errors = array(); if (!$_POST['name'] ) { $errors[] = 'Error: no name entered'; } else { $name = $_POST['name']; } if (!$_POST['email'] ) { $errors[] = 'Error: no e-mail address entered'; } else { $email = $_POST['email']; } if (!count($errors)) { // Send e-mails using a foreach loop? } ?> <!DOCTYPE html> <html lang="en"> <head> <meta charset="utf-8" /> <title>Lorem Ipsum</title> <!--[if lt IE 9]><script src="http://html5shiv.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/html5.js"></script><![endif]--> <link rel="stylesheet" href="style.css" type="text/css" /> </head> <body id="index" class="home"> <h1>Lorem Ipsum</h1> <p>Confirmation message.</p> </body> </html> <?php // Get out! exit(0); } ?> <!DOCTYPE html> <html lang="en"> <head> <meta charset="utf-8" /> <title>Lorem Ipsum</title> <!--[if lt IE 9]><script src="http://html5shiv.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/html5.js"></script><![endif]--> <link rel="stylesheet" href="style.css" type="text/css" /> </head> <body id="index" class="home"> <h1>Lorem Ipsum</h1> <p>Contact A, B and/or C.</p> <?php if (isset($errors)) { foreach ($errors as $error) { echo("<p class=\"red\">$error<p>"); } } ?> <form method="post" action="<?php echo htmlentities($_SERVER['PHP_SELF']); ?>"> <fieldset> <legend>Who do you want to contact</legend> <input type="checkbox" name="mr[]" value="A" /> A<br /> <input type="checkbox" name="mr[]" value="B" /> B<br /> <input type="checkbox" name="mr[]" value="C" /> C<br /> </fieldset> <br /> <fieldset> <legend>Your Details</legend> <label for="name">Name</label><input type="text" name="name" value="<?php if (isset($_POST['name'])) {echo $_POST['name'];}?>"><br /> <label for="email">Email</label><input type="email" name="email" value="<?php if (isset($_POST['email'])) {echo $_POST['email'];}?>"><br /> <input type="submit" name="submit" value="Next" /> </fieldset> </form> </body> </html> |
