PHP - Very Slow Retrieval Of Data From A Database - What Can You Do?

Similar Tutorialswould Java handle it faster? can PHP be made to handle it as fast? I really need help. check out my website and search cars for sale, then any distance and then 37919 zip. it takes too long and there are only 3351 cars on there now. before, when it only had about 2200 cars it was really fast. only about a 1000 cars made it slow. what could it be? nabacar.com It was returning results in about 15 seconds or less with 2200 cars. Now it is over a minute with only 1000 cars on it. I will have 150,000 on it when I get this sorted. http://nabacar.com some java was written to speed things up, but it didn't seem to help. Is it the server or the code causing this? I can't get it to use the item that is selected in the drop down box as the variable $va in the bit where it then queries the data base to retrieve only the line in the able that match the program_name with variable $va. variable $va would be the result of the drop down box. In the below example I am using two while loops, where the second one is nested inside first one, that check two different expressions fetching data from tables found in a MySQL database. The second expression compares the two tables IDs and after their match it displays the email of the account holder in each column in the HTML table. The main problem is that the 'email' row is displayed properly while its while expression is not nested and alone(meaning the other data is omitted or commented out), but either nested or neighbored to the first while loop, it is displayed horizontally and the other data ('validity', 'valid_from', 'valid_to') is not displayed.'

Thank you. Hi, I've currently started to modify a chat script of mine to output a moderation panel but the moderation page seems empty(blank) every time I load it. What im trying to do is to take the ID part in my URL via the $_GET and look it up in my database table in the column named id, then select that specific row to be able to retrieve the StringyChat_ip and place it into another table to ban the IP and the second thing im trying to do is to be able to delete the specific row from my table.

I want the form data to be 1) stored into a mysql database AND after storing said data, 2) email the same data to our sales department. 1) The form data DOES get stored into mysql database (except for the first two fields, for some weird reason) 2) I added a "mail" section to the php file that stores the data into the database, but it is not working correctly. I have stripped the email portion down to sending just one of the fields in the "message" to make it easier for troubleshooting I have included here, both the form section of the html file, and the formdata.php file that processes the data for your analysis. I am relatively new to php so there are going to be some issues with security, but I can work on those after I get the store & email process to work correctly. Please review my code and see if anyone can be of assistance. I looked through the forums and couldn't find another issue that was the same as mine. I've included a script below that fetches data from a database and creates a drop down menu. I'm trying to use a field called "gone" and enter 'gone' in that field when I want to delete the row but be able to retrieve it by making the field empty. There is something in the WHERE clause of my sql that is screwing things up. I get nothing retrieved with any of the WHERE clauses below. Interestingly, when I take the where clause out completely, I get the rows that have no 'gone' in them. The code is below. None of the following in the included code get me a result. All of them return nothing. I also don't get any errors. Just nothing. WHERE gone != 'gone' WHERE gone <> 'gone' WHERE gone = '' WHERE gone = 'gone' Without the WHERE clause it runs fine. As a work around I tried using if($row['gone'] == 'gone') { continue;} In the while.. function at the end of the file to bypass rows with 'gone' in the field. It also stopped the script. Hi all! I am trying to get an admin status ("y" or "n" to be retieved from an SQL select.
