PHP - Apis Importing To Mysql Logic

Hi Guys

Just need some advice to go in the right direction.

I'm working on a csv upload script (part of a bigger thing i'm building), so i read in the csv to a multipdimensional array and then build a query that inputs all rows in one query - i read this is the most efficient way to import multiple rows of data at once(rather than multiple insert statements). Just for illustration here's the code i use to build the query so you understand what i'm on about:

Anyway, the issue is that one of the fields("teamnum") needs to be unique - so i've set this as unique on the table in mysql.

But when i run my query it doesn't import anything if one of the records isn't unique. What i really want is for it to import the ones it can and catch the ones it cant import to present to the user.

So my question is - to acheive the above would i need to rewrite the query so that it inserts each row one at a time, instead of all together?

Or can someone point me in the right direction for a better solution?

does anyone know who to resolve this issue of importing a CSV file from excel into sql? I get this error when I do.

I really don't understand the point of an API. I am totally lost on this one. I have never in my life used JSON and barely touched Javascript so I'm already quite behind the curve but this was my understanding of the "purpose" of an API;   You have some data in a database that others might find useful so you write a script that allows people to go in and pull data from it.   So why aren't these APIs just built using PHP? If I have a database table of first names, last names and email-addresses, and for some reason I want other people on the internet to be able to get at that, then why don't I just write a one-page script that list them all out? Then all the user has to do is "include" it in their code, right?   That's probably really over-simplistic, and I am surely missing the point. There must be a point, but I cannot find a single source anywhere with an actual decent explanation of this. What am I missing?   You never know, perhaps you're all about to tell me that most APIs are built using PHP and what I've described is pretty much it. But everything I research leads to a dead end because they all refer to one another;   Example 1 - "Oh JSON is freaking awesome. I use it because it's awesome. It's awesome for work working with APIs".   Example 2 - "Oh, APIs, yeah, you totally have to have APIs. All you have to do is use JSON. It's awesome".   Not direct quotes, but close enough! Seriously, help me out. I have a lot of public data on my server and I am positive that someone can make good use of it. But how?

Do you use the OS userids or do you keep them separate in MYSQL? Must users login to a website and request a token to use for REST API requests? Did you use a framework provided method? I need something ultra-simple

I'm attempting to import a mysql database backup via php unfortunately I keep getting this error:

I've researched this online and this seems to be the way everyone suggests to use, unfortunately it isn't working. If it helps here is the first 4 lines of file.sql as that may be the problem for all I know:

Haven't really used traits much and am confused whether to import other classes in the trait or the class that uses the trait (might also be an annotation question but not sure).

Must import statements (i.e. use Foo\Bar;) be included in the class or can they be included in just the trait which is used by a class?  Does it depend and if so on what?  Does having one class use another class impact the decision?  Is it okay for one trait to use another and another trait to just use the first trait or should it use both?

What is odd is I apparently must (to not get an error) import ApiProperty to the trait but doing so is not required for the class, and must import Groups, SerializedName, and Mapping in the class but doing so is not required for the trait.

Instead of just a yes/no answer, would appreciate an explanation why it is what it is.

I need to write a code were users can login to his/her email account from my site to import contacts to be selected and used. I know you need to use api's for this. Has anyone done this before who can give me some useful tips?

I need someone to look over this and just see if they can see why this won't work anymore?

It worked when the site was in development but when it came down to the day it's not working.

Basically it reads a CSV and inserted the driver into a Quali or Results table in the correct order but it's not working anymore?

If someone could have a read over it and suggest what might be going wrong that would be great.

Edit: It basically just added the same driver 24 times in the table.

I have a site where I have an admin panel set up to import an XML data feed into a database, but it's a large import and it takes a lot of time to update.  I'm looking to upgrade the admin panel and offer the ability to be able to see the number of records as they're being imported instead of it hanging there until the query is completed.  The tough part about a progress bar is obviously you have to know the # of items being imported beforehand, and that varies each time the feed is downloaded.  So I'm just trying to get some suggestions from someone who may have written something similar.

I've got two questions. Users can fill in a form with information that has to be in the following format:
Value 1, Value 2, Value 3, Value 4 Value 1, Value 2, Value 3, Value 4 Now I want to return an error if ANY line isn't in that format. For example when it's like this:
Value 1, Value 2, Value 3, Value 4 Value 1, Value 3, Value 4 I've got no clue how to do that...

The second question is, how can I get a specific line of the posted information? I've already gotten an answer on how to count those lines, which is working. But I'm going to insert them into the database using a for loop, so I need to insert one row at a time.

i have two multi-dimensional arrays that i'd like to manipulate to check a few things.

Their structures are different and i'm giving myself headaches trying to think through this.

I have a $sums array which has information on a product in a purchase order. The second array consists of items(products) that are going to update the purchase order. So the first array key of $sums correlates with the "order" of the $items array.

I'd like to write a function that:

1. Makes sure the first array key of $sums exists as an "order" value in the $items array.
2. Makes sure the $items price is greater than the $sums price

I just don't know where to put the foreach loops or where to even start really :/

I want to ask the user questions by using a form. I have a text field where the user inputs either 1 or 2 and then they press submit. I can get this to work but I need to keep asking them questions based off there last answer to the previus question.   I am making a game where you start with a number ex 5 and then you either choose to take away 1 or two from that number. so we take away 2 now the number is 3 and then the computer has his go using the same number. He chooses to take away 1 which makes the number 2. Now we take away 2 and win the game for being the first one to get the number down to 0. Its a very simple game that im trying to do just to brush up on my php skills.   my code so far....

As you can see i am no where near close to getting this right. Im thinking i have to use a while loop to keep asking the question minus 1 or 2 until they reach 0. Inside this while loop im thinking i need something like a waituntil user has clicked submit.   In fact i have written the same game in c++ so if it helps here is that. (it works just how i want it too)   the problem im having is that in c++ you can use cin to get a input from the user and it waits until the user types in a value but im struggling to find anything like  that in php. Any help would be greatly appreciated thank you.
