PHP - New Affiliate Page On My Site - Do You Think It Will Work?
Hi everyone,
I have just created this affiliate sub-page where I compare webhosting providers in Denmark.

All links for all hosting providers are affiliate links.
Do you think this is a good approach and is the text ok? (use google translate)
In other words, do you think people will click and possibly ean me a comission?

For example, someone signs up and he/she gets a unique link (http://www.site.com/6372) and later I can display data according to the user's unique affiliate link. I can't find any good info about this.. Does anyone know how affiliate programs work in general? Not sure if I'm trying to achieve something totally crazy here, or if this is something pretty standard. Didn't have much luck with searching as I'm not fully down with all the terms. (A) I have one site providing an RSS feed. (B) I have one site I want to search, once for each of the items in the feed A. (C) I want the results of the search in (B) to be displayed on page (C). So for example, the feed on (A) says; apples bananas oranges cheese I want site (B) to search for each of those terms (by passing the item in the feed (A) to the ?search= part of the URL of that page) and then show the results from THAT search on page C. Bit of a complex one, let me know if you need me to clarify. Thanks for any help! I've been out of coding for about 4 years. My client called and said that they upgraded his server and now nothing works. I've don't done some reading and see that there are changes to queries. I originally wrote the program using mysql_query which is now deprecated replaced with MySQLi and PDO_MySQL which I thought would be that simple. Apparently not. My code is below. The error I get is Fatal error: Call to undefined function MySQLi() in /home1/zipclick/public_html/marketingteamates.com/_ZABP_merchants/main-w.php on line 304 which leads me to believe that the upgrade is now solely object oriented.

I'm trying to get away from the usual ...?id=135845 type of links. I was thinking about two possibilities: 1. (I don't know if this is possible), but to generate a subdomain with php at the time an affiliate signs up and then track them by extracting the subdomain to identify the affiliate, or 2. Somehow, maybe using a mod rewrite, using the affiliate username at the end of a url, ex. www.website.com/username , you can see that there is no extension, but when a person comes to that url, it will display the contents of www.website.com and I'd extract the username 'username' from the url and query the database to identify the affiliate. Any thoughts on how this can be done? I have a small site that is based around maxbounty offers (incentives for leads as such) and I can't seem to work out a good way to adjust the database entry for 'currency' when the callback is performed.
Basically, I just need help finding a (fairly) secure php script (http://www.maxbounty.../help.cfm?id=12) that connects to my database and adjusts the user's balance to a certain amount on the call back.
In addition, one to deduct from the balance on call would also help heaps!
Is anybody able to help out?

I have 2 websites, a companies main website written in PHP and a web application they have purchased written in aspx (main site) www.example.com (web app) www.webapp.com/login.aspx?CompanyName=example The client wants people to be able to login from their main website which then redirect to the webapp (which will be styled like their branding) without the customer realising they have left the main site. I thought i may be able to achieve this with a simple include from a page within the main site such as; Code: [Select] <?php // www.example.com/software include"http://www.webapp.com/login.aspx?CompanyName=example"; ?> This pulls in the login page fine, however when you try to login it does not redirect, it gives a 404 error as it trys to open this URL http://www.example.com/software/login.aspx?CompanyName=example Is there a way of pulling in the necessary html from the aspx site to provide a login box in my clients main site but then have it redirect to the correct aspx page (on the aspx site)? I have thought about using an iframe, but that wont redirect to the webapp upon login, but just keep everything withing the iframe thanks for any advice... No errors no infinite loops...it worked perfectly. However, once our server guy actually applied the SSL to the page, the code stopped working and I get the error "The page must be viewed over a secure location." It throws the error before it processes anything on that page. I found the code online on another help forum and it worked for everyone else, so what am I doing wrong? I also tried a different version of the code that also works for everyone else but got the same error. Thanks for your help! Hi, Sorry if this is in the wrong place. I really just need a search term to use for what i'm trying to do. I would like my buttons to appear pressed on each page. For example if you are on the home page the home button will appear pressed. If you are on the screenshots page the screenshots button will appear pressed. Pretty much i want my nav bar to display what page is being viewed. I'm using SMF forums and i've created an extension of my forum that i'm using on the root of my site. As far as i can tell i have the correct code added to the forum that should highlight the home button while on the home page. The part i'm missing is the code to add onto the home page. Wordpress has the ability to recognize a custom page and make it available to select it and use when you are logged in in the pages section of the admin ui. To make it work you add this:
