PHP - Styled Input File Button No Longer Shows Chosen File
I'm using an Upload Script, and I've been working on trying to style the 'Choose File Button' (input file button)
Similar TutorialsFriends, I developed a script in php & i tested the script before encoding & its working fine. After i encoded the script through ionCube PHP Encoder & uploaded in my server but the file shows only blank page. Its not executing after encoding. What is the problem ?? How to fix it ? Greetings Fellow PHPFreaks! LovableCodeMan here - newbie to this forum an pretty new to this PHP thing that all these youngsters are raving about - who knew?! Anyway, so I have an HTML form set up with a PHP document attached in order to send the data from the form to an email -a pretty basic setup by todays standards. In the PHP document, you can see that there is a section for the user (sender@xyz.com) to submit the information in the form to us & is sent to our email address "receiver@xyz.com". The bottom segment is to send a confirmation email back to the sender - to "sender@xyz.com" - as a thank you and a "We will get back to you ASAP" etc etc etc. The confirmation email sent to the sender@xyz.com works flawlessly when pressing the "Send Your Message" button, but then I just see "https://www.xyz.com/scripts/mail.php" in the address bar and no email is received by receiver@xyz.com - aka "Us". This is the PHP document - confidential information redacted & the "sender@xyz.com" & "receiver@xyz.com" replace the real email addresses.

Mark I have a 'subscribe' form on a website that uses Ajax to validate the input fields, the form is then processed via php. The actual html code resides on a Wordpress page.
I had actually just got the form to work again. The website was static, and I transferred everything over to Wordpress, and the form didnt work. I was able to get it working by specifying the url: in ajax, as an absolute path to my php form. Overnight, something, I'm not sure what, stopped the form from processing. No data is posted to myql, and no email is sent or received. The status message just hangs at "Please wait while we process your information..." This message is in part of my Ajax code, so I am thinking something is wrong with my php script. I have a 'contact' page that uses nearly identical code that the 'subscribe' pages uses to validate the input fields, and it works.
I was able to recover both the ajax and php script from an earlier time when they did work, I uploaded back to my server and nothing, the form still does not process. I also made sure my database credentials were correct with my host, and even tested my connection to mysql which I was able to connect. Next, I made sure I was able to send mail with my host.
I don't know what is causing the form to hang, and I would love to get this solved; any help would be appreciated! I'm using an Upload Form and I believe this line of code, shown below, is what the attached image shows (see attached image).
How can I add a different image button to replace the "Choose File" button that's currently there?
Also, how can I put some space between the Choose File button and the "No File Chosen" function?

I can determine which radio button is selected for each file upload prompt because I have a name and a value. So the array name=image can have one of three values for each file upload prompt. Is there a way to determine which of the three file upload prompts was loaded (clicking browse & select image) with an image and which was not? There doesn't seem to be a value like there is with radio buttons. I want to be able to replace an already uploaded image with another. So, basically the problem is the name of the input field that is defined as an array (profile_image[a]) on the web page that we are trying to mock. If this(profile_image[a]) was this (profile_image_a)(without []) on that webpage, then it would not have been a problem. So, if you understand, this is basically a syntax problem. how to get the name of the file including a file from the included file, This one has me mixed up a bit.. I am trying to record site activity information from a common.php file using a user object. But since the file is included into different php files based on different situations I need a dynamic way of finding the file name that is including it. I could be over complicating things but right now this seems like the best solution other wise I'll have to rewrite the code on every page i write. Is there a function for doing this? How do I add a button with no input that would just perform a function and then just display a popup window showing the contents of a text file? In this multi file upload form, choose three images, click submit and preview the images on the preview page. If the user wishes to delete or replace an image, click edit and the form will go back to the previous page. Select the replace radio button for example on one of the three images and select a new image from the file input prompt and click submit. The form will go to the preview page again to display the images. During this process the image names are being input into a table and the images are being moved to a directory. The table is `id` AUTO_INCREMENT, `image0` `image1` `image2` `status` So input name='image[image0]' can be directed to table `image0` and so on. The code for keep and delete work fine, but how do I replace an image? I have two foreach blocks. The first one deletes the image file from the directory and deletes the image name from the table, but the second foreach dose not move the new image file into the directory. For each line of results received, I have to output to a text file (.txt) but I have to respect a format that was given to me from the person requesting the info. Example: Character 1 must be G or N. Thanks Ted. I am using apache web server on linux. I am using PHP for web designing. On web server, i want to show the configuration data by reading the ini file. I am creating this ini file from one php code itself. If this php code i run through linux terminal, the file is created with file and group owner as root.(i am having sudo rights on machine) Then if i try to read the ini file from my apache web server, it gives warning as failed to open stream: permission denied. I have tried changing the owner, and permissions to 777 of the file. Still it is not readable.
On the other hand, if i run the php code of ini file creation through web server, ini file is created with file and group owner as apche. and web server is able to read/ write the file.
But i want to create that file from root or some other user and later read/written by apache.
How to give this access permission?
