PHP - Event Updater And News Form

I have a listener which executes a HTTP request to a remote API before the User entity is persisted and uses the response to set one of the entity's properties.  It will also listen for update and remove and will make the appropriate HTTP request to the API but will not modify the entity.  All works as desired... Almost.  If when persisting the entity, I have some error, the remote API and my application become out of sync.  I wish to change my application to perform a second call to the API if an error occurs and reverse the previous call.  My thoughts on how to implement a

Place a try/catch block when executing the query.  Don't like this approach. Add an ExceptionListener which somehow retrieves the entity and makes the applicable changes.  Maybe part of the solution, but too complicated to be the full solution. When adding, updating, or deleting a user from the remote API under UserListener's three methods, adding a callback which gets executed upon a PDOException.  I think this is the best approach and expanded my thoughts below.

Okay, how do I actually do this?  Was thinking of modifying UserListner as follows:

But when trying this approach, I get a PDOException, but my callback never gets excecated.  I've also tried replacing KernelEvents::EXCEPTION with '\PDOException' (note the quotes) with no success.

Any ideas what I should be doing differently?

Maybe some totally different approach?  I suppose I could make the request to the API after the DB query is complete for updating and deleting, but not for adding.

Before I posted in here about a content management system for posting news.  I was wondering how I could make so that when you fill out a form and send all the data to the database, it creates a new page from a template and includes that data within it? I know I asked this before, and some mentioned the _get method, but im using _post to process the form data and have no idea where to integrate the _get method.

i store (modified by concat date)names of news images in table and upload theme in folder /dir/newsimg.

I have a news code that posts news on the home page like a CMS would.

How would i make it so when I post news using the code, I can use HTML within the post to change around what it looks like? Instead of just having it display the HTML like "<font color="blue">Example</font>"

Hi,
I'm currently coding a script, where I would like to post news & versions changes etc into my client's portal. So my client install the script, they login to the admin area, and they see messages from me, optionally if there's a new version available.

I was thinking about doing this with cUrl, and just have a page that display my news, and then call it from the client portal, not sure about it though. What would you guys suggest?

Hello All, I am new here so first off hello to you all

Right my problem, I am trying to find a way to be able to display news items with comments under them and a form for somebody to write a comment. Like on facebook where a person has a status then comments under it.

I have two tables in MySql already, news and newscomments. The way I have linked the tables is by ID, newscomments has a field called News_ID which matches with the ID of a news item.

I can get all news items to display however I can't get the comments to display with them.

Please could somebody give me a hand with this?

I was wondering what approach you would take to code a news feed like Facebook has.

I have a status, users,  and photo mysql tables. Would you create a new table called "feed" and have a query run everytime someone updates, inserts, etc anything in those three tables? or something else?
What would be the most efficient way to code a news feed?

example : after add new dog or update dog or add image to a dog

the link tell exactly what i want but also it has a feature that group added dogs and send a news

any one have idea for make it?

it is also so similar to facebook profile that after user do something page will auto update like : user change his cover
