PHP - Php Code For Apptitude Test Based Website

Hi, can anyone help me?   I am trying to create a form which asks the user to input their postcode then submit. the purpose is so if the service my site offers is not available in the location that the end user lives, then I want to display a message saying 'Sorry, not available', but if they are in area then it redirects to another page.   My form code is:

Basically I have 4 fields in my database

image2, image3, image4, image5

I have an image uploader to upload the files but I need what I need is if image2 is empty put in image3, if image3 is empty put in image4

so far I have this

Now the problem I'm having is the code that is always executing is the first one of $row['image2']

even if image2 has a value in the database it still runs that code and over writes the field in the database. It never moves on to field 3 or 4.  Can someone please tell me if I've done something wrong.


I'm not storing the image in the database just the name.

So against each user i am storing all the page ids here. When i edit any of the users, it deletes all the records and again insers new records. Which i feel is not a proper way to do.
And also, if i have 10 users and 100 pages, suppose all the users are having access to all the pages, records in user_access table will be 1000. 

And in codewise also, i am redirecting the user to no_access.php (as below) page if the user do not have access.

I need help in improve and better/effective (structural) way to do this both in database and php script. 

I'm working on a project that has a lot of different timezone options, and all I have from the users is their UTC offset.

After weeks of doing tweaks, I come to new issues every time I add something, one would think it would be a lot easier to just get the correct time and day :)

The latest issue is that when I try to rewrite a date to a better fomat, it disregards the GMT offset. Like this:

4/14/19, 12:00 PM GMT+2 (=$date) becomes ... 14-04-2019 10:00 when using this code:

I figured it would just rewrite the format, keeping the exact time. It isn't.

We do have all these sorts of localization functions as well, but because there doesn't seem to be one single standard (each 3rd party API connection we have uses its own default datetime format so it seems).

What I want to do exactly...
zip codes 91900-92600 go to URL www.example.com after submit.
All others go to URL www.example.com/page after submit.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Hi Guys. Really Stuck here. I am making a website, its basicall an online shop of sorts. I am making a login page for our customers and an admin page for us lot to upload new products to sql etc. Whats its meant to do is accept the username and pw then allow me to access the adminpage. Hi All, Newbie here.   I run a website using xmb forums software as a base login script to connect to my database and created my own crude and simple pages for adding and displaying the data learning as I went.

Over the years with recent upgrades of php versions its now virtually useless and unsecure code. I archive a lot of news articles but have had trouble pasting text that includes apostrophe's and special characters, but managed to fix that using addslashes() now.   Can someone suggest a tutorial or a way to rebuild my site from scratch or something I can use as a template to connect to my pages ?.

Hello, I am building an online game(users make a character and move on a map and so on...)   All user data is stored in a mySQL database and I want the users to interact in real-time, but there can be a 1-3 second delay between the communication, but not exceed 3 seconds even if 500 players are playing at the same time.   But for the purpose of the question let's say the users can only chat between one another, if I'll have a solution for that then I can use the same method for more parts of the game.   I can't use websockets because my webhost doesn't support it( I don't want to use pusher.com).   I know I can make real-time apps with ajax long polling, but I think that with 500 players playing at the same time it's not the best solution.   So, finally: How can I make user interaction as close as possible to a real-time game? (Without too much load on the hosting server)   (I am sorry if some of my terms are not correct - I am just getting back to coding after a long time...)

I have a mysql table which will store users email addresses (each is unique and is the primary field) and a timestamp. 
I have added another column called `'unique_code' (varchar(64), utf8_unicode_ci)`.

What I would very much appreciate assistance with is;

a) Generating a 5 digit alphanumeric code, ie: 5ABH6 
b) Check all rows the 'unique_code' column to ensure it is unique, otherwise re-generate and check again 
c) Insert the uniquely generated 5 digit alphanumeric code into `'unique_code'` column, corresponding to the email address just entered. 
d) display the code on screen.

What code must I put and where?
