PHP - Jquery Autocomplete (minor Problems)

Hi   I have a small script, on a single file that needs to be optimized. file is about 300 lines (16Kb), and basiccaly looks like the "PHP-monster" threw up on it. Script is working ok, but surely could be much better.   PM if interested and I can send you a copy of file. If possible leave price/hourly rate.

I have a form with a table that contains ONLY dropdown menus for users to select quantities from 25 dinner items.  It contains some Javascript, but nothing fancy.  In an effort to establish my database and TEST to see how some PHP functions might respond so I could improve my form, I created a mini version of the db in MySQL.

But when I click the submit button, the page blinks, the address bar fills with field names, but there is no connect.  No error messages.  No data transfer.  NO NOTHING!

I searched the web and copied a form and plugged it in (an html form, a php insert file, and a MySQL database) and it worked fine.  I peared down my page to mirror it, and still, no success.

What little detail am I missing??  If I have 25 fields but create a db for the first 6, should it function?
If I reduce it and try to re-use the same db, am I persuing a problem?
I've tried error trapping and changing the form inputs, but it just still doesn't connect.

Please help!

I have a working autocomplete which connects to my database using ajax. I am trying to include a function where the user can scroll through the results list using the up/down arrow keys. All of the suggestions I found in google basically broke my autocomplete and yes I've installed the latest Jquery.   Also, for some reason the user has to click the upper half of the search result in order for the data to display otherwise it won't register for some reason any ideas about that?   Any help would be greatly appreciated. I read this article. About two thirds down it mentions that you can turn off autocomplete on the entire form if you put it in the form tag. The post is from 2011 though so I was wondering if it is still valid? Does anyone know if this is still correct?
 
So, can I use something like;

At the moment it searched through rsPubName (Pub Names) and outputs Pub Name and rsTown(Town) aswell

I would like for the user to type a town and it show all pubs in that town?!

I am trying to implement some code I found and downloaded he

When I try and run this I get no search results back when searching? I have entered data in the database and all connections seem good. Several people in the comments say they have problems, but no solution.

Any one that can find the fault here?

I just installed this new script here http://webhost.pro/domain-check.php it's a basic domain availability tool.

I am trying to make a form that can be used on any page forward to this page with the content.

The page loads with this in the url webhost.pro/domain-check.php?domain=dwhs.net and will run the page.

So I can make a form that just submits to that page and sends the details.

Why I couldn't split "CURLOPT_STDERR, CURLOPT_RETURNTRANSFER" with "curl_exec"
 

I keep saying I'm going to have to learn javascript and then the library jQuery but find myself learning Swift now instead.    Short one today. I want these two functions to occur back to back. Second function only begins after the first function is complete.

If you can please help me with this not only in just code to make that happen but also an explanation of what you did I sure would appreciate it. I've read all morning on promises etc. but have yet to be successful in implementing this.    As you can tell I'm using the plug-in textillate to fade text out one letter at a time. Works great! But I have multiple paragraphs I'm wanting to apply this too so I can't make the div class .tlt since I then lose all paragraphs since it's strips it into spans. That would be ideal of course but I think I forced  into making different classes for each paragraph. This will become problematic in the future though since the content is generated dynamically and I will have no idea how many paragraphs that dynamic content will contain. So if there was a way to keep my <p> and </p> that would be even better.    Thanks!

Hey, I have a foreach loop displaying some data from my table, what i need to do is run a Jquery each function on the repeated element so it fadesIn each element one at a time. I am guessing i need to set somesort of interval for this to work. I have been messing with it for a good hour or so now and i cant seem to get it working. Has anyone done this before or seen it done else were?

I am in the process of teaching myself web development, coming from a vb and mssql background.

I am building a small page that will display my film library, I just want something quick and simple that gets things working.  I have three img tags on my page that display the film posters.  The current film and the one previous and next.

What I would like is a left and a right arrow that just scroll through the library.

I am thinking I need to read the sub folder of D:\movies and story the full path name into an array, and then when the user presses a arrow it moves forward or back.

Everything is local and I am unsure about how to handle the event of the left/arrow being pressed.  Does PHP handle that kind of event or would Jquery be more suitable or something else completely??

I cant seem to get the value i am trying to into a "var".

This is the code on the page i am using a  onClick="search_by();"
i.e:

Alright guys, I have a bit of a problem here. I am deleting records using isset($_POST) on the current page but when it submits the records i deleted are still visible. I was thinking of echoing some jquery/ajax to re-load the div that displays the records. Has anyone ever done this before?

I dont want the entire page to re-load just that specific area.
