Hi All, Am sure this is simple but can't work it out. I have the following which creates 3 menus:

<p>Drag items from one menu to another</p>

			<li id="id_6">Item 6</li>
		</ul>		
		</td>
	</tr>

This uses the following to show an array of each menu:

What I'd like is to simply grab the values of menu 1 only, as the array shows all menus. What am I doing wrong as can't seem to just return menu1. Going forward, I then want to store the returned array into a PHP cookie if this is possible? Many thanks

I am trying to exclude certain menu items based on their slug.

I have this code, but can't work it into the above:

Would it be best to get all of the items at once and pair them with PHP, or get the children of each item when as a separate array?

I'm trying to make it so that someone can add an item to the shop based upon the current items within the database.

How do I go about doing that? I know i have to change <input> to <select>, but beyond that, how do I code it so I can run an array to get all the current items from the table `items` and list them by their `name` field?

hello all, I was hoping someone could help me figure out how to add sizes to my shopping cart.
Right now the items add just fine. The site sells shirts and I'm having trouble displaying the sizes once selected and added to the cart. It will post the size selected, but if the customer tries to add another shirt the size will overwrite the last.

Any help is appreciated.

Dropdown Menu Mixing With Nav Menu

So i have a <drop down> menu, and a <nav> menu on my left side of the page. I have a problem when i click at the first column of my drop down menu and it explores submenu, the submenu mixes with the nav menu that is under the drop down menu on the left. i could solve it with margin-top of the nav menu but i don't like the empty space beetwen them. I tried with putting overflow:visible; in CSS of my dropdown menu but it is still the same. drop down menu is seen but there is stil seen nav menu under and they are mixed. So basicly i want my dropdown menu to be priority, so when i clicks on my first column (only first column is problem because there under is nav menu the other are open nice) it will explore submenu and the part of nav menu that covers the submenu will be hidden. How Do You Create Sortable Pagination Results?

I want visitors to be able to sort the results on my Browse Documentaries page by popularity, date, and type. The only way I know how to do this is to create a separate page for each sorting arrangement and provide a link to each page. Is there any way of doing it on a single page? I am guessing that I can do things like that with Javascript or jQuery. Is that correct?

I realise there is likely a very simple solution to this, but I'm pulling my hair out on it.

I have a menu.php file on my Intranet that (funnily enough) holds the site menu and is inserted via an include. This works fine. My question is, how can I make it pick up what page I am on in the site, and change the menu accordingly?

At the moment, with HTML (and before I changed the site to hold just one menu file), the menu looked like this:

Hi all, I was wondering if someone knows a clean way to make a dropdown menu using just php and html with the following functionality. If someone selects a value from the dropdown options it should be visible on refresh.
So in case a have a dropdown menu with: oranges, apples, grapes and someone selects grapes and submits it, grapes should be selected.

I have made someonthing but it looks redundant. I think there should be something with a foreach loop or something but i can't figure it out yet.

I tried to do this by splting each line and determining if it is a zero or not if it was a zero i put that paticular one into an array to be used in the sub menu however this did not work out. Any ideas?

Hi

I want to add student from a dropdown list to database but I have some problem.

This is my select dropdown menu code

The output in the dropdown menu look something like this:
1, Alvin
2, Benny
3, Charles
4, Daniel
5, Eva
and so on...

After submitting the form, it will proceed to confirmation.php page.

At the confirmation page, I have the following variable:
$student_result = $_REQUEST['student_id'];
$name_result = $_REQUEST['student_name'];

I want to insert to database with the following insert query
$sql = "INSERT INTO student(student_id, student_name)
VALUES ('". $student_result . "', '". $name_result ."')";
$insert = executeInsertQuery($sql);

It can insert successfully but, it will not insert the student_name.

May I know where I did wrongly?

Okay, so, here's the scenario.

I have a form that is editing an item that is already in the database. The text fields fill in just fine with that info. However, the drop down menus don't retrieve that info, rather resorting to the defaults, which can be a problem if you don't remember what you originally had.

Is there anyway to make the dropdown menus pull the info from the table and use that rather than resorting back to the default?

I tried using this:

So, it's obvious the "value" portion not working. Any help would be great!!

Hi everybody. I'm pretty new in PHP programmation and really new on this forum. So, I'll try to explain my situation the best I can.

I have created a modification page where the user can modify certain data of the database. To avoid spelling mistakes, I have created a scroll down menu that includes all the options they have.

My problem is that I what the "actual Selection" of the database to be the "selected" option right from the start. Now, my scroll0-down menu shows the first option of my list and not the actual value contained in the database.
