PHP - Text Not Showing The Same On Different Devices

Am adding text with paragraphs into my database but when i view that data on another page it's just one big block of text. :S Anyone no how i can stop this?

Hi everybody   I want to put this code (or something like that) in my index.php to redirect the iPhones etc. But where do I have to put it in? In the head or body?? And how can I call this function?   Thanks a lot for helping a beginner!

Hello masters.
I wish to share with you a problem that is killing me in this dais!! I have a website in xhtml, with some php form. This website is made for Japanese customers (all in Japanese) and that's the big trouble. The language encoding of the php form is really killing me. I tried several solutions, but I couldn't sort this problem. So I was wondering if you guis could help me...

This is how it should work: customers fill up the form in Japanese. The php script send the deta to my mail address and to the customer one. Simply and plan. No image, just text ... easy. I tested it on my Japanese computer and it works great: I recive the mail, the customer recive the mail and all the field are ok and I can read all the Japanese charachters. The big troubles come out when I try to fill up the form with a Japanese mobile device: Both the customer and me recive a mail with weird characters. something like this: ..????i???.... and so on....damn, I can't understand why. The most weird thing is that it really works great on computer browser. But as this is a website for mobile devices I have no choice but to settle this. Here is part of the code I use for the form:

Both the html page with the form and the php page are set to EUC-JP (charset="euc-jp"). What should I do to make this work properly? 
I repeat that it actually works on the net if you use a computer browser (try to see at http://www.mobile-body-ex.com/ora1.html). But I couldn't find a way to make it works if you fill up the form trough a browser for mobile devices (Japanese). ......please, give me some hint

As the title says, on any mobile device, display: none; does not work.  It will work when the CSS file is cached, however, when you refresh the URL (in any browser this will request a new version of the file) it appears that it will ignore display: none; calls.  I tested this on several emulators.   I read somewhere that using both display: none; and visibility: hidden; worked, but I have not seen results for this.   Has anyone come across this before, or know a fix/work-around?

I am pretty new to PHP and am trying to create a simple (so I assumed) page to takes data from one html page(works fine) and updates a MYSQL Database.  I am getting no error message, but the connect string down to the end of the body section is showing up as plain text in my browser window.  I do not know how to correct this.  I have tried using two different types of connect strings and have verified my names from the HTML page are the same as listed within the php page.  Suggestions on what I need to look for to correct would be great.  I have looked online, but so far all I am getting is how to connect, or how to create a comment, so I thought I would try here.

I just decided to take out the parts of the page that would be needed to answer this problem instead of the whole file. This is a little confusing okay lets say the first user is the Administrator with an id of 1 obviously has a first name and last name and username and email and the date he registered is his datecreated and his creator_id is going to be preset because he created it himself so its going to be 1.

The 1st row in the database displays fine however I have 4 other rows that for some reason aren't displaying. And don't know why. For handlers 2-4 they all have their own first and last names and usernames and everything else however when it comes to the creator_id those 3 have a creator_id of 1 representing that the Administrator created it so in the data table instead of it showing the value of 1 for the creator_id I just want it to get the CONCCAT version of the first and last name of the Administrator.

In the past I have not done a very good job of explaining things so I hope this is more than clarified my intention with my code and what it should do and what it is doing wrong right now. If you have any other questions please ask.

Hi,

I am using the include function to link my header and menu up to my files.

My folder structure is:

WWW Folder
    -head.html
    -menu.html
    -homepage.php
Images Folder
Blog Folder
    -index.php

The head.html and menu.html have links to images kept within the images folder.
homepage.php and index.php both have include functions to include the menu and header thus including the images.

homepage.php works fine the images show up however blog.php links to the head and menu but does not show up the images.

my include function for index.php is:
<?php
include ("..\menu.html");
?>

I have attached a print screen of what the index.php looks like, its obvious that its picking up the head and menu as its showing the image names but not showing the images.

Can anybody help it's really confusing me? Thanks

What I am trying to do is to show the H2 tag only if it has a value from the database.

Otherwise, I do not want to show it.

What is the correct way to do this?

it basically lists the most recent auctions that have won, but even though i set the query to LIMIT by 10 it still only shows the 1?

is something above sticking out to anyone? i know it looks messy but im still learning.
