PHP - Split Database: 20 Rows A Page
Hello everyone,
I new to the php world and I'm only working with it for 5 days now. So I'm a noob
But I've got a good start atm, I already could connect a database with my webpage and show all my coloms I need.
Now I got a problem with the fact, my database is way to big to display on 1 page. To much load-time, so that's the reason why I want to split up all my products.
20 for each page, like in this tutorial: http://www.phpjabber...hp25.html?err=1
I think I'm almost there, my problem is that when I click on the number from the next page (like nr 5), it doesn't show my next 20 products.
But when I look to the url, that seems ok, because I get something like this; index.php?page=1
Can someone help me to find out, what I did wrong? And plz, remember, if you give me an answer, plz keep it short and simple. I'm a noob at this.

Hi I am trying to split a form as shown in this simple code. I tried what I thought should work but obviously it is not working.
This submits the first part of the form but does not go to the second part of the form. So First name, Last names and Age are submitted but email and cell are not and it throws a undefined index warning for those.
Can someone please take a look at this and suggest if what I am trying to do can be accomplished using PHP.

hii everyone how to add the values of rows in a database.... What i have is small application in which a user can add an item to the database and give it tags... for example there is "apple" and it has the tags of "fruit, red, round" What i want is for the user to be able to edit those tags, so the user can remove "fruit" and add "sweet" instead or just remove "fruit" all at the same time. This code below loops through the checkboxes and should remove the items that are no longer checked, by going through the database and grabbing all the tags and them checking it against those that are still checked and remove the ones that it didn't find checked...?? I can update the records, but i can't figure out how to remove records at the same time. I don't understand how to put each row for stone cold into HTML row. Please don't be annoyed by my question, I know its a simple stuff but I've tried several stuffs, I can't get what I need still. [/code] BBCode tags added. I have a commenting system and i have a limit of a certain number of comments to be shown. What i want to do is have a button on the bottom of the page at the end of the comments that are showing and when you click it ajax loads the next certain number of of rows (but not all of them),and then you click it again and it shows more of them, etc. So for example. comment 1 comment 2 comment 3 comment 4 --click button--(loads 4 more)--- comment 5 comment 6 comment 7 comment 8 --click button--(loads 4 more)-- comment 9 comment 10 comment 11 comment 12 etc. until there are no more rows. what's the best way to do this? (I know how to do the ajax and all, i just need help with the script to select the rows) Thanks. I am trying to array data to database against same id.

These are the main 3 that I've been trying, and they match up the $sqlCommand to the $numRegistrations. What would be the problem with this code? I use wamp server to test, have been using it for ages. Chrome browser to test in. If I remove the database query, the rest of the page will load. With the query in there, only the HTML code up until the database query is parsed, so therefore nothing is display on the page. Please help. Thanks Denno |
