PHP - I Need To Get Multiple Lines Of Html Into A Variable During A Foreach
Alright the issue that I am having is that I need to get multiple lines into a variable to output later in the code. my $pieces variable is not returning anything, much less missing parts of it, but even the text code is not returning.
foreach($packages as $pack) { $weight+=$pack->weight; $items_no++; $singleweight=$pack->weight; $length=$pack->length; $height=$pack->height; $width=$pack->width; $pieces .= '<piece actual_weight="'.$singleweight.'" length="'.$length.'" height="'.$height.'" width="'.$width.'">'; } if(!empty($post_code) && $weight>0 && $items_no>0) { $data='?shipment='.urlencode('<shipment weight_system="IMPERIAL" shipper_number="'.$this->shipper_number.'" destination_postal_code="'.$post_code.'" service_type="'.$service.'">'.$pieces.'</shipment>').'&token='.$this->token; // $woocommerce->add_message('Items No:'.$items_no.'- Postalcode:'.$post_code.'- '); $resp=file_get_contents($this->canpar_url.$data,false,$context);If I do this in another method that only requires a single line (getting the total weight and number of items) it works fine, but this does not return the proper shipping cost for low weight items. On a site where higher weight items is shipped the plugin works fine. However I need to modify it to work based on dimensions. The result I am looking for is something like this: https://www.canpar.com/XML/RatingXML.jsp?shipment= <shipment weight_system="IMPERIAL" shipper_number="42500047" destination_postal_code="M1M1M1" service_type="1"> <piece actual_wieght="7" length="24" height="24" width="24"/> <piece actual_wieght="5" length="10" height="12" width="14"/> </shipment> &token=WZHBRS4KQYNAusing an output system I can output weight, packs, length, width, height but it does not return anything for $pieces and obviously shipping costs because I am getting an invalid xml response. $woocommerce->add_message('Weight: '.$weight.' Packs: '.$items_no.' Shipping cost : '.$atts['total_charge'].' Pieces: '.$item_box.' Length: '.$length.' Width: '.$width.' Height: '.$height); Similar TutorialsHey all.. I have been messing around with some code with a form that has checkboxes on them, and the option of selecting more than one checkbox to submit to the database. However, I keep getting the error," Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in (mydirectory)". I have followed many tutorials and I don't see anything I am doing differently that they are, so I'm sure this is a simple fix, of something I am overlooking, or I am just horrible at this (new person). Here is the snippet of the HTML code for the checkboxes. Code: [Select] <label> <input type="checkbox" name="project_list[]" value="chat"/> Chat Project (age 18+ requirement)</label> <br /> <label> <input type="checkbox" name="project_list[]" value="forums"/> Forums Project (age 18+ requirement)</label> <br /> <label> <input type="checkbox" name="project_list[]" value="content"/> Content/Editorial Project (postcasts, blogging, etc.)</label> <br /> <label> <input type="checkbox" name="project_list[]" value="technology" /> Technology Project</label> <br /> <label> <input type="checkbox" name="project_list[]" value="marketing"/> Marketing, Promotions and Publicity</label> <br /> <label> <input type="checkbox" name="project_list[]" value="designartwork"/> Design and Artwork</label> Here is the PHP code that I am using to do this. Code: [Select] include 'db.php'; mysql_select_db('skylers_training'); if($_POST['submit']) { $project_lists = $_POST['project_list']; foreach($project_lists as $list); //This is the line the code is getting the error on. And the section of the INSERT MYSQL CODE for this part. Code: [Select] $reginsert = mysql_query("INSERT INTO ... // the rest of the code (that works fine) follows this. '$list' // This is the line that is supposed to send data from the checklists to the database. When I submit the form, in addition to the error, nothing is submitted to the database table for the list (everything else works fine). Any insight into this, would be appreciated. Thanks! hey guys, I'm quite new to PHP and i was wondering if someone would be able to help me out with this. The code i have checks the database to see if a user has provided a Vimeo ID. If they haven't, $video_check will equal a line of html that says the user hasn't added any videos to their portfolio. If the a vimeo ID is present, i want $video_check to equal a bunch of html and css with a foreach function inside that is used to display the users videos from vimeo. The foreach function works fine when its not assigned to the $video_check variable. How do i structure it so that it displays correctly? If you click on videos on this page you might get a better idea of what i'm talking about. http://www.myfilmportfolio.ie/profile.php?id=33 and here is the code i'm having the problem with: /////// check if user has provided vimeo id ////////////////////////// $vimeoID = $row["vimeoID"]; $video_check=''; if (empty($vimeoID)){ $video_check = '<h3>'.$firstname .' has not added any videos to their portfolio</h3>'; } else{ $video_check = '<div id="stats"> <div style="clear: both;"></div> </div> <div id="wrapper"> <div id="embed"></div> <div id="thumbs"> <ul> <?php foreach ($videos->video as $video): ?> <li> <h4><?=$video->title?></h4> <a href="<?php echo $video->url ?>"> <img src="<?php echo $video->thumbnail_medium ?>" class="thumb" /></a> <p><?=$video->description?></p> <br /> </li> <?php endforeach ?> </ul> </div> </div>'; } if anyone could help me out id really appreciate it. Cheers, G I have a Description field that gets sent to my Payment Gateway which can be put in an e-mail to my customer after a successful purchase. Is it possible to have multiple lines and line-breaks in one Array Value?? For example... Code: [Select] $post_values = array( "x_description" => "Fuzzy Sweater Girls Medium Long-Sleeve $75", Debbie Hi All, If someone types in my textarea without any hard returns, it echos the entire text on a single line, which expands my site very very far and screws up the layout. how can I echo the text but limit the number of characters per line before I insert my own line break? The code is just: Code: [Select] echo $message; Good morning to all. Recently I just read a post here , it's about how to insert different lines from <textarea> to different mysql rows . http://www.phpfreaks.com/forums/index.php?topic=325239.0 Thanks to AbraCadaver , his code works well. Quote $lines = array_map('mysql_real_escape_string', explode("\n", $_POST['textarea'])); $values = "VALUES ('" . implode("'), ('", $lines) . "')"; $query = "INSERT INTO table_name (column_name) $values"; But now if have more than one textarea , such as area1,area2 and area3 , how should change the code so that all data can be inserted into database simultaneously? Such as data of area1 is for column 1, row 1, data for area2 is for column2 , row 1, and data of area3 is for column 3 ,row 1. Is it possible to make this works? Thanks for every reply . So I have this textarea in an HTML form that I need to convert the contents of from having multiple line breaks into only one line break for each. Example: I want to convert the following: Code: [Select] I went to the store. I had a good time. I ran into a friend. Into this: Code: [Select] I went to the store. I had a good time. I ran into a friend. Any help would be super appreciated. Hello everyone. I'm creating a website that has a sort of messaging system built in and I'm trying to get the information pulled out of the database to display exactly as it was typed. For example, if someone types this message: "This is the first line. This is the second line. And this is two lines below the second line." (By the way, when I view this message using phpMyAdmin, the message is displayed in the above format.) I would like to have the message displayed the same way when it is queried from the database. As of now, this is what I'm seeing instead: "This is the first line. This is the second line. And this is two lines below the second line." How can I achieve this? I would post the code that I'm using, but it's just a basic mysql query to get a variable "$message" then I'm just using echo "$message"; to put it on the page. Any help to point me in the right direction would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! The bbcode below is not parsing code on multiple lines or recognizing line breaks, except the full content code is on one line.
<?php function bbcode2html($var) { // code synthax highlighter $var = preg_replace('/\[code](.+?)\[\/code]/i', '<pre><code>$1</code></pre>', $var); return $var; } $content= '[code] <!DOCTYPE html> [/code]'; echo $content= bbcode2html($content); ?>I attempted introducing a new line recognition character into the regex as shown below, but its not working. <?php function bbcode2html($var) { // code synthax highlighter $var = preg_replace('/\[code]\r\n(.+?)\[\/code]/i', '<pre><code>$1</code></pre>', $var); return $var; } $content= '[code] <!DOCTYPE html> [/code]'; echo $content= bbcode2html($content); ?>I would appreciate your suggestions. Thanks. Hello, i'm trying to create a table with questions and input answers. The problem i'm facing is how can i generate dynamically the input name and value unique because some questions have other dates or criteria. I was thinking of adding in the db a field with the type of the question or a new table with question types then using foreach and if to generate, i don't have much time to test and i'm asking for your help/advise. Hope i was clear enough . PS: I'm using PEAR SIGMA as template. I've done some research online, and I think the issue is to do with 'Session' variables and the 'foreach' array, but I'm not sure how to solve the problem. I just wondered whether someone could perhaps have a look at this please and let me know where I'm going wrong. Many thanks and regards Let me explain my problem. I have an array with dates and numbers in format ($cronograma) Ex: Array ( [2020-09-21] => Array ( [0] => 2020-09-21 [1] => 2 [2] => 2 [3] => 2 ) [2020-09-28] => Array ( [0] => 2020-09-28 [1] => 2 [2] => 2 [3] => 4 ) Then i have another array with 2 ids (in this case 58,60) ($id) Finally i have a third array with numbers only (in this case 34,34) $tot So what i want is cross information beween them, for example for id 58 I must get dates (first element and last element when $tot = 34) for id 60 I must get dates (first element after $tot =34 and last element of array) Whath i have so far is this foreach ($id as $idPlan) { foreach ($cronograma as $c) { $t1 = 0; foreach ($tot as $d) { $t1 += (int)$d['tempos']; if ($c[3] == $t1) { $newAr[] =$idPlan; $newAr[] = $c[0]; } } } } My response array(8) { [0]=> string(2) "58" [1]=> string(10) "2021-02-01" [2]=> string(2) "58" [3]=> string(10) "2021-06-14" [4]=> string(2) "60" [5]=> string(10) "2021-02-01" [6]=> string(2) "60" [7]=> string(10) "2021-06-14" } null So it's clear that i have all repeated I should have a line like: 58 - 2020-09-21 -2021-02-01 Any help? This is more of a technical question that i could not find the answer to pn the php.net manual pages. take the folowing example code: foreach ($array as $key => $value){ $tempvariable = some_property_of($value); } unset($tempvariable); is that unset statement needed? Does PHP automatically destroy the variables once the foreach loop is left? Hello, i have the code below and i need to have all results in a variable as a string, inside the loop they are displayed how i want but outside will echo the last result. Thank You. Code: [Select] foreach($_POST as $key=>$value){ if (is_numeric($value)) { $valoare = "$value,"; } } echo $valoare; I want to print in an html table the Seasons, the Months, and the days of each month. the following code prints the seasons and the days i need another foreach in between that prints the months also Any ideas??? Please help... $seasons=array ( "Fall"=> array ("September"=>"30","October"=>"31","November"=>"30"), "Winter"=> array ("December"=>"31","January"=>"31","February"=>"28"), "Spring"=> array ("March"=>"31","April"=>"30","May"=>"31"), "Summer"=> array ("June"=>"30","July"=>"31","August"=>"31") ); $tab = "<table border=\"1\">"; foreach($seasons as $season => $months) { $tab .= "<tr><td colspan=\"4\">$season</td></tr>" ; $tab .= "<tr>" ; foreach($seasons[$season] as $days) { $tab .= "<td>$days</td>" ; } $tab .= "</tr>" ; } $tab .= "</table>" ; echo $tab ; i am trying to use mpdf and i am trying to pass a for each loop. i was thinking equaling to a variable, but i saw you cant do that. Code: [Select] foreach($rows_details as $record_details){ echo "<td>$record_details[po_num]</td> <td>$record_details[warehouse_num]</td> <td>$record_details[quantity]</td> <td>$record_details[packages]</td> <td>$record_details[weight]</td> <td>$record_details[product_id]</td> <td>$record_details[pieces]</td> <td>$record_details[unit_price]</td> <td>$record_details[total_value]</td>"; } so i have to pass it through this any one have an idea Code: [Select] $html = ' <tr> <td></td> <td></td> <td></td> <td></td> <td></td> <td></td> <td></td> <td></td> <td></td> <td></td> </tr> $mpdf->WriteHTML($html); $mpdf->Output(); exit; exit; Hi, after banging my head against the wall for a while thinking this would be a simple task, I'm discovering that this is more complicated than I thought. Basically what I have is a link table linking together source_id and subject_id. For each subject there are multiple sources associated with each. I had created a basic listing of sources by subject... no problem. I now need a way of having a form to create an ordered list in a user-specified way. In other words, I can currently order by id or alphabetically (subject name lives on a different table), but I need the option of choosing the order in which they display. I added another row to this table called order_by. No problem again, and I can manage all of this in the database, however I want to create a basic form where I can view sources by subject and then enter a number that I can use for sorting. I started off looping through each of the entries and the database (with a where), and creating a foreach like so (with the subject_id being grabbed via GET from the URL on a previous script) Code: [Select] while($row = mysqli_fetch_array($rs)) { //update row order if (isset($_POST['submit'])) { //get variables, and assign order $subject_id = $_GET['subject_id']; $order_by = $_POST['order_by']; $source_id = $row['source_id']; //echo 'Order by entered as ' . $order_by . '<br />'; foreach ($_POST['order_by'] as $order_by) { $qorder = "UPDATE source_subject set order_by = '$order_by' WHERE source_id = '$source_id' AND subject_id = '$subject_id'"; mysqli_query($dbc, $qorder) or die ('could not insert order'); // echo $subject_id . ', ' . $order_by . ', ' . $source_id; // echo '<br />'; } } else { $subject_id = $_GET['subject_id']; $order_by = $row['order_by']; $source_id = $row['source_id']; } And have the line in the form like so: Code: [Select] echo '<input type="text" id="order_by" name="order_by[]" size="1" value="'. $order_by .'"/> (yes I know I didn't escape the input field... it's all stored in an htaccess protected directory; I will clean it up later once I get it to work) This, of course, results in every source_id getting the same "order_by" no matter what I put into each field. I'm thinking that I need to do some sort of foreach where I go through foreach source_id and have it update the "order_by" field for each one, but I must admit I'm not sure how to go about this (the flaws of being self-taught I suppose; I don't have anyone to go to on this). I'm hoping someone here can help? Thanks a ton in advance Hi Guys Ever had the feeling your being a spoon and can't see the wood for the trees? Well, that's how I feel today. All I am trying to to is implement a variable in a "foreach" loop that increments by one through each iteration of the loop. I know how to do it in a "for" loop but can't for the life of me get it to work here. Here is the code: foreach ($cart as $prodcode => $qty) { $item = get_product_details($prodcode); echo '<input type="hidden" name="item_name_'.[b]$needavariablehere[/b].'" value="'.$item['description'].$_SESSION['finish'][$prodcode].$_SESSION['handles'][$prodcode].'" />' . "\n"; } Where I have highlighted $needavariablehere is where I want a number to appear i.e. if there is one item available and the foreach loop iterates once I want the number 1 here. If there are two items and the foreach loop iterates twice I want the output to have number 1 in the first line and number 2 the second time around and so on. How many times the foreach loop iterates is based on the $cart array which contains items in a shopping cart. Thanks for any help you can give guys. Hi
I try to echo out random lines of a html file and want after submit password to whole content of the same html file. I have two Problems.
1st Problem When I echo out the random lines of the html file I don't get just the text but the code of the html file as well. I don't want that. I just want the text. How to do that?
for($x = 1;$x<=40;$x++) { $lines = file("$filename.html"); echo $lines[rand(0, count($lines)-1)]."<br>"; }I tried instead of "file("$filename.html");" "readfile("$filename.html");" But then I get the random lines plus the whole content. Is there anything else I can use instead of file so that I get the random lines of text without the html code?P.S file_get_contents doesn't work either have tried that one. 2nd Problem: As you could see in my first problem I have a file called $filename.html. After I submit the value of a password I want the whole content. But it is like the program did forget what $filename.html is. How can I make the program remember what $filename.html is? Or with other words how to get the whole content of the html file? My code: if($_POST['submitPasswordIT']){ if ($_POST['passIT']== $password ){ $my_file = file_get_contents("$filename.html"); echo $my_file; } else{ echo "You entered wrong password"; } }If the password isn't correct I get: You entered wrong password. If the password is correct I get nothing. I probably need to create a path to the file "$filename.html", but I don't know exactly how to do that. |
