PHP - .htaccess Can't Show My 503 Custom Error Page

Quesion: Show each movie in the database on its own page, and give the user links in a "page 1, Page 2, Page 3" - type navigation system. Hint: Use LIMIT to control which movie is on which page. I have provided 3 files: 1st: configure DB, 2nd: insert data, 3rd: my code for the question. I would appreciate the help. I am a noob by the way.

Hi im a little stuck... What im trying to do is when you request a page that is not there it goes to a custom error page. I have set the redirect via the .htaccess file.

Basicly what im trying to do is only have one php file which displays the server response i.e. 404 error or 401 error and so on rather than having several error pages.

I want to show a cookie of a referral's username on a sign up page. The link is like this, www.mysite.com/signup?ref=johnsmith.

The cookie doesn't show if I go to that url page. But it does show up once I reload the page.  So I'm wondering if it's possible to show the cookie the first time around, instead of reloading the page?

Hello,
I'm learning how to write simple CMS and I'd like it to support page aliases. So that instead of http://www.myweb.com/?id=123 I could use http://www.myweb.com/some-page for example. I don't want to use rewrite rules in .htaccess but I'd like to do it similarly as Drupal. I understood Drupal redirects 404 page not found error to index.php and then somehow handles it. Can you advise how to do it please? Or is there any tutorial or example available?

I am a beginner web designer and a novice php user. I am a regular forum user and understand that you should always do a search and try to find the answer yourself but I have done that and didn't get any results (or I didn't understand them!).

So I ask for some assistance - either you can tell me the code or link me to the correct answer.

I am working on a website that I have built a enquiry form for and it has a php script for it. I have managed to get the form running properly and got the reCaptcha working correctly (with a custom error page) but I do not understand how to add custom error pages for incomplete email addresses, empty email addresses, or for a blank form? I tried using the same tactic I used for the reCaptcha error page but it didn't work - probably because I was guessing and just tried it in a bunch of different places.

The error msg that displays now is just a plain white page with the msg - Email address is invalid appearing at the top left.
While this is suitably functional it doesn't really look like much so I want to build a custom page for each error that could happen.

So the code is below - if anyone can point a beginner in the right direction I would be super happy.  :mrgreen:

Hey guys,   Wordpress has the ability to recognize a custom page and make it available to select it and use when you are logged in in the pages section of the admin ui. To make it work you add this:

Here my pagination buttons are not working. this issue arises when permalink format is http://www.example.com/sample-post/
But when I set permalink format to default (www.example.com/?p=123) then it starts to work
and creates a working pagination link like this http://www.durgeshso...e_id=81&paged=2.  I want this format http://www.example.com/sample-post/ in the links.

I have my web page in the usual document root /var/www/html folder.

Say, my root folder for my website is "mypage". That is, inside "/var/www/html/mypage", I have the index.php, and other files and folders.

Example:

I want to show access forbidden (403) or files not found (404) errors. How do I catch when a user enters one of the existing folders directly on the URL bar and display appropriate message? 

For example:

/var/www/html/mypage/ will show /var/www/html/mypage/index.php which is desired. Good.

/var/www/html/mypage/pictures .... I don't want them to access this folder directly, so I want to show no permission error.

/var/www/html/mypage/hogehoge ... I want to show file(s) not found error.

/var/www/html/mypage/some_existing_and_valid_file.php/hogehoge  I want to show file(s) not found error.

I want to edit httpd.conf.

All I know now is how to disable directory listing and disable or enable a specific folder.  I am trying to find a generic solution.

Working environment: CentOS 7, PHP 5.6

I designed a php page if current time is greater than end time it show as closed else it show data entry form.

Having a (probably basic) problem here, and as much as I have read about it, I still don't understand.

I have a basic form in a page called book.php which upon submit calls sendmail.php to email me the details. Everything works as it should, including my current error handler, which is as follows.

This is fine, but what I would prefer is a seperate error for each user input section. So, for example, when the user does not enter anything in the $name feild and presses submit, the book.php page is displayed with the error message to the right of the text box. Any help would be appreciated.
