PHP - Session Variable Losing Value In If Else Statement
I'm having an issue with holding a session variable in the statement below $Color is losing its value in the if statement. For example int the ( ) $Color is a zero while in the echo part $Color is being displayed correctly as Blue.

The first page is calculator_q1.php
No session variables are needed here, I have omitted a few options, the code looks like this

So far so good, but when I introduce page 3 (calculator_q3.php) then it prints the previous page's (from page 2) variable but can't find the session variable from question 1. This is from calculator_q3.php:

I have a secure login script that uses sessions to maintain a users logged in status. I regenerate the session ID on each page reload for added security. Sometimes, I will lose sessions, and I am hard time figuring out why. It seems to be when I have a slow internet connection. I am wondering what could be causing this?? I have a few ideas, do any of these seem plausible.
-A max execution error, returns a fatal error.
-An ajax request get sent before the previous request returns, so the session ID's dont match an I am kicked out.
Any other ideas would be helpful.

I have four session variables, two I am valueing using $_POST elements from a previous page's form, the other two I am valueing using items retrieved from a database. I have tried several things including putting an exit(); after my header statement and first putting the database items into plain old $vars and then trying to populate the session vars with the value of the regular $vars, but nothing seems to work. My login script stores the user's login name as $_SESSION[ 'name'] on login. For some unapparent reason, i'm getting errors stating that $user and $priv are undefined variables, though I've attempted to define $user as being equal to $_SESSION['name'], using $user to look up the the user's privilege level (stored as the su column ) in the SQL table, and then where the result of the sql query is $priv which is then evaluated in an if statement. Hello everyone, I can get Test 2 to successfully operate the if statement using a variable variable. But when I try the same method using a session variable (Test 1) the if statement is not executed. I have an enquiry form on a site that sends an e-mail. All the code is on one page with the form submitting back to the same page. I have a variable, msg, which at the top of the page is set to nothing and then an if statement to see if the form was submitted. If the form was submitted then msg will have one of three messages in it by the end (regardless of anything else). However when I check the msg variable after the if statement it is empty. To test if it was being affected I changed the initial value from nothing to TEST. After the IF statement the variable still held the value TEST, thus confirming it wasn't being affected by the IF statement. The combo variables are sent to this page through a form and defined as these variables at the top of the page. e.g $combo0 = $_POST["combo0"]; When the results are displayed any form field which was left blank or empty I want to show "N/A" if data is detected in being sent through the form I then want the "Else" statement to take affect.
