PHP - $_post['filepath'] ... Not Working ?
Hello pros.
I've been working on a website, and i just figured out that a thing is completely wrong. I am entering the website with: "website.com/something.php?name='Hello/system/root/advance.exe'" but somehow the $_POST['name'] is null... My current php code which just prints that post data: Spoiler <?php $postedFileName = $_POST["name"]; echo $postedFileName; /*#-- Here it doesnt echo anything --#*/ ?> Similar TutorialsHow does one get the absolute filepath of this:
$_FILES["myfile"]["name"]
On a web-server?
Currently I'm feeding my image as a resource into imagejpg.
http://php.net/manua...n.imagejpeg.php
However, I need to get the file-path so I can send them to an S3 bucket.
Thanks for any help!
Edited by arbitrageur, 02 November 2014 - 09:35 PM. I am having problems storing a $_POST variable from a form into a $_SESSION. When I go to the next page and echo out the $_SESSION variable its blank Page 1 code (page with self submitting form action) <?php session_start(); $email = $_POST['email]; $_SESSION['email'] = $email; ?> Page 2 (page which should be echoing out the value of the session variable) <?php session_start(); echo "Your Email Address which you submitted was: " . $_SESSION['email']; ?> When I echo that out on page 2 its blank Why is the variable value not carrying over to the 2nd page? Chad So ive created a forum that I got handling several different approvals. (it is used to approve or decline all submitted notes) it works fine and it even submits fine im at the part know where i process the information and do something with it, below is my form: <form action="course_proccess.php?action=approve" method="post"> <table align="left" border="1" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="3"> <tr> <td><b>Author</b></td> <td><b>File name</b></td> <td><b>Download</b></td> <td><b>Suggested catagory</b></td> <td><b>Select Catagory</b></td> <td>Approve</td> </tr> <td><input type="text " disabled="disabled" name="tr1_author" value="MikeH" </td> <td><input typee="text " disabled="disabled" name="tr1_name" value="A lot of my skills set back"</td> <td><a href= /uzEr%20Upl0ds/cache.zip > Download</a></td> <td>1001 Laws - Polceing </td> <td><select name="tr1_scatagory"> <option value="1"> Intro To Law </option> <option value="2"> 1001 Laws - Police Foundations </option> </select></td> <td><select name = "tr1_approve"> <option value = "1"> Yes</option> <option value = "2"> no</option> </select></td> </tr> <td><input type="text " disabled="disabled" name="tr2_author" value="MikeH" </td> <td><input typee="text " disabled="disabled" name="tr2_name" value="MM"</td> <td><a href= /uzEr%20Upl0ds/Michael Heintzman.doc > Download</a></td> <td>1001 Laws - Polceing </td> <td><select name="tr2_scatagory"> <option value="1"> Intro To Law </option> <option value="2"> 1001 Laws - Police Foundations </option> </select></td> <td><select name = "tr2_approve"> <option value = "1"> Yes</option> <option value = "2"> no</option> </select></td> </tr> <input type="hidden" name="rowCount" value="2"> <tr> <td><input type="submit" name="sendData" value="send"/></td> </tr> </table> </form> so what I do in my process file is I have a for loop for all of the "TR's" in the table and if it is approved I have an if statment and then I want to add db stuff my problem is my $_POST's are returning blank and I have no idea why. Can someone please assit me with this? (p.s i have debugged and it does get into the if approve == 1 statment. if(isset($_GET['action'])){ if ($_GET['action'] == "approve"){ if(isset($_POST['sendData'])) { $dataArray = array(); $row_count = $_POST['rowCount']; for($i=1;$i<$row_count;$i++) { $approven = "tr".$i."_approve"; $approve = $_POST[$approven]; if($approve == 1) { //Move the info over to "approved files" and delete it out of newnotes $author = "tr".$i."_author"; $location = "tr".$i."_location"; $catagory ="tr".$i."_scatagory"; $filename = "tr".$i."_name"; $submitedby = $_POST['author']; die($submitedby); $dataArray[]=array('author'=>$author,'fileName'=>$fileName,'Catagory'=>$catagory,'location'=>$location); var_dump($dataArray); }else{ //Email user saying they did not recive credits AND delete the entry } } if(!empty($dataArray)) { //now do what you want with the dataArray... var_dumb($dataArray); } } } I have a simple log in form. By debugging I found that isset post submit function is not responding. It remains on the same page after submitting form. I have googled all the possible solutions to this problem but none worked. Any help is greatly appreciated. The form is in multiplelogin.php file and the code is in multi.php file. After login redirection is to teachers.php file. <?php session_start(); $conn = mysqli_connect("localhost", "root", "", "signup");

For the radio button, lets just say i have the id name as 'rim' + number eg; rim0, rim1, rim2.... When i post the data to another file to execute the data collected, naturally i would use the: Code: [Select] $rim0=$_POST['rim0']; $rim1=$_POST['rim1']; .... $rim10=$_POST['rim10']; i tried to shorten this process using this method: Code: [Select] //$q is part of the post variable. for($x = 0; $x < count($q); $x++){ $rim[]=$_POST['"rim"."$x"']; } But i get this error Code: [Select] Notice: Undefined index: "rim"."$x" in D:\Apache Software Foundation\Apache2.2\htdocs\.....\#####.php on line 20 Notice: Undefined index: "rim"."$x" in D:\Apache Software Foundation\Apache2.2\htdocs\.....\#####.php on line 20 Notice: Undefined index: "rim"."$x" in D:\Apache Software Foundation\Apache2.2\htdocs\.....\#####.php on line 20 Notice: Undefined index: "rim"."$x" in D:\Apache Software Foundation\Apache2.2\htdocs\.....\#####.php on line 20 Notice: Undefined index: "rim"."$x" in D:\Apache Software Foundation\Apache2.2\htdocs\.....\#####.php on line 20 Notice: Undefined index: "rim"."$x" in D:\Apache Software Foundation\Apache2.2\htdocs\.....\#####.php on line 20 Notice: Undefined index: "rim"."$x" in D:\Apache Software Foundation\Apache2.2\htdocs\.....\#####.php on line 20 Notice: Undefined index: "rim"."$x" in D:\Apache Software Foundation\Apache2.2\htdocs\.....\#####.php on line 20 Notice: Undefined index: "rim"."$x" in D:\Apache Software Foundation\Apache2.2\htdocs\.....\#####.php on line 20 Notice: Undefined index: "rim"."$x" in D:\Apache Software Foundation\Apache2.2\htdocs\.....\#####.php on line 20 Is there something wrong with my POST syntax? Is there an easy way to dump out the contents of a $_POST array and display them on my screen? (I'm trying to get more comfortable with what is stored in the $_POST array and how it is structured.) Thanks, TomTees Hi guys! I need your help.. I'm having a problem in getting the post values from my form, I have 2 arrays and some values: Code: [Select] $total = 3; $array1 = (branch1, branch2, branch3); $array2 = (100, 200, 300); $count = count($array1) - $total; then i combine them Code: [Select] $array3 = combine_array($array1, $array2); if $count is 0, using a foreach loop i echo each value and key Code: [Select] foreach($combined_array as $value => $key) { echo "<tr>"; echo "<td><input type='hidden' name='branch' value='{$value}'></td>"; echo "<td id='edit'>" . "<input type='submit' name='edit' value='' />" . "</td>"; echo "<td id='sep'> / </td>"; echo "<td><input type='hidden' name='id' value='{$key}'></td>"; echo "<td id='del'>" . "<input type='submit' name='delete' value='' />" . "</td>"; very simple and it works perfectly fine, but if the variable $count is not equal to 0, i append both arrays(1 & 2) so that it will be equal to 0. (data appended is not important i just need them for the table output.) Code: [Select] for($i = 0; $i < $count; $i++) { $array1[] = "null" . $i; $array2[] = $i; } // then combine $array3 = combine_array($array1, $array2); // echo each value and key foreach($combined_array as $value => $key) { echo "<tr>"; echo "<td><input type='hidden' name='branch' value='{$value}'></td>"; echo "<td id='edit'>" . "<input type='submit' name='edit' value='' />" . "</td>"; echo "<td id='sep'> / </td>"; echo "<td><input type='hidden' name='id' value='{$key}'></td>"; echo "<td id='del'>" . "<input type='submit' name='delete' value='' />" . "</td>"; echo "</tr>"; i tried to view the code souce and both hidden fields contain correct data but if i tried to delete/edit it doesn't work. i tried echoing/print_r the $_POST['branch'] & $_POST['id'] after i click on delete/edit and it always gives me the last $value and $key of the combined array for all the submit buttons.. Any thoughts? As i said the appended data is not important but the problem is once i click delete the original values in array1 and 2 are not what post is giving me..therefore i cannot delete or edit them.. Sorry if my post is too long.. Thanks in advance! Hello guys. I'm trying to improve my control panel system. I have this page where you input a player's name and when you hit "Search" it will display that user's information. Ok. This is the code: Code: [Select] <form action="ShowStats.php" method="post"> <li><font color="#FF9933"><b>User's Name:</b></font> <input type="text" name="User" /></li> <p> </p> <p> </p> <input type="submit" value="Search" /></form>That's when you input the player's name and the Search button. Once you hit that button, I want the Address bar to display something like this: "www.test.com/ShowStats.php?User=SEARCHED_USER" Here's the $_POST ( and "fetch" user's info ) function inside "ShowStats.php" include("database.php"); if(!$con) { die('Could not connect: ' . mysql_error()); } $user = $_POST["User"]; $escuser = mysql_real_escape_string($user); $result = mysql_query("SELECT * FROM playerinfo WHERE user = '$escuser'"); $username_exist = mysql_num_rows($result); if($username_exist == 0) { echo('<b><font color="#C41F1F">That username does not exist</b></font>'); echo('<p><center><font face="Arial" color="#000080" size="2"><b><a href="http://yu-ki-ko.com/fsns/Stats.php">Go back</a></b></center></font></p>'); die; } $row = mysql_fetch_row($result); All I want is that when a user searches for the player, the address bar will be displayed like: "www.test.com/ShowStats.php?User=SEARCHED_USER" Thanks! If any more info is needed, let me know. I think this belongs here, but my $_POST['gender'] won't grab the gender that was submitted through a form. I am using AJAX so the page doesn't have to reload so it can go in a smooth transition, but the AJAX is grabbing the value perfectly fine. I have a feeling the $_POST isn't grabbing the value because the page isn't reloading.. but I don't want to reload it. These codes are all on the same page. Here is my Javascript: Code: [Select] <script> function chooseGender() { var gender = $('input[name=gender]:checked', '#submitgender').val(); if(gender) { $.ajax( { type: "POST", url: window.location.pathname, data: gender, success: function() { alert("You have chosen to be a " + gender); //It's grabbing it perfectly fine! $("#submitgender").hide(); //It hides the gender table so they can't choose a gender since they already have chosen one. $("#rest").fadeIn(); //Shows the other table that's labeled "rest" as it's ID so they can choose what base, eyes, etc for that specific gender they've chosen. } }); } else { alert('Select a gender.'); } } $(function tabs() { $( "#tabs" ).tabs(); }); </script> But here is the PHP inside the #rest table: Code: [Select] <?php $gender = $_POST['gender']; $sql = "SELECT * FROM habases WHERE gender='".$gender."'"; $result = mysqli_query($cxn, $sql) or die(mysqli_error($cxn)); print_r($sql); while ($row = mysqli_fetch_assoc($result)) { $baseimage = $row['image']; $baseskin = $row['skin']; echo "<img src=\"http://www.elvonica.com/".$baseimage."\" value=\"".$baseskin."\">"; } ?> And this is what I'm getting for the print_r: Quote SELECT * FROM habases WHERE gender='' Hi All, I am having a bit of difficulty with a form I've built that has some PHP elements in it. The issue is it is just not sending the values (which are in hidden fields). Code is: Code: [Select] while($row = mysql_fetch_array($result)){ echo '<tr style="padding: 15px;">'; echo '<td>' . $row['product_id'] . '</td>'; echo '<td>' . $row['name'] . '</td>'; echo '<td>' . $row['catalogue_id'] . '</td>'; ?> <td> <form method="post" enctype="multipart/form-data" action="<?php echo str_replace( '%7E', '~', $_SERVER['REQUEST_URI']); ?>"> <!--Hidden Field Checks to see if form has already been sent--> <input type="hidden" name="editform" value="Y"> <!--Hidden Fields for Edit Job--> <input type="hidden" name="prodid" value="<?php echo $row['product_id'] ?>"> <input type="hidden" name="prodname" value="<?php echo $row['name'] ?>"> <input type="hidden" name="catalogue_id" value="<?php echo $row['catalogue_id'] ?>"> <input type="hidden" name="full_description" value="<?php echo $row['full_description'] ?>"> <input type="submit" name="Edit" value="<?php _e('Edit', 'pmimp_trdom' ) ?>" /> </form> </td> Would it have something to do with splitting up the php tags? Any help would be apprecited! Thanks! Here's the result of my problem: Array ( [nav_create_title] => hel [nav_visible] => 1 [category_position] => 4 ) ( ! ) Notice: Undefined index: category_postion in C:\wamp\www\tryitandbuyit\includes\category_create_process.php on line 7 Call Stack # Time Memory Function Location 1 0.0010 370336 {main}( ) ..\category_create_process.php:0 Here's how I'm trying to assign and echo $_post. print_r($_POST); $category_pos = $_POST["category_postion"]; $nav_title=$_POST["nav_create_title"]; $nav_visible=$_POST["nav_visible"]; echo $nav_title; echo $category_pos; echo $nav_visible; As you can see, it prints the correct value and name from the array... why the heck can't I assign or echo it? Here is how I am sending it from the other page in a form (it used to be simple, but I've been trying every work around i can think of: <?php $result=mysql_query("SELECT * FROM category WHERE visible='1' ORDER BY position ASC"); $row=mysql_fetch_array($result); $positionID=$row['position']; $position=$row['position']; $selectname= "Select A Position:<br />"; $selectname .= "<select name="; $selectname .= "'category_position'"; $selectname .= ">"; echo $selectname; $rownumber=mysql_num_rows($result); $rownumber_temp=$rownumber+1; For($i=1; $i<=$rownumber_temp; $i++) { echo "<option value= $i>" . $i . "</option></br>"; } $selectname2 = "echo \"<br />\""; $selectname2 .= "echo \"<br />\""; $selectname2 .= "echo \"</select>"; echo $selectname2; hi good day, im a little bit confuse. what i want to do is instead of $username = $_POST['username']; is to transform it into OOP? please help me. thanks. I am wanting to make a form where they fill out their name and what color they use. What is wrong? |
