PHP - Looping Through An Ajax Response And Put It To A Table
Here is my java script
$.each(data, function() { var myTable1 = '<tr bgcolor=#ffffff>' + '<td align=center>'+this.vehiclelog_plate+'</td>' + '<td align=center>'+this.vehiclelog_name+'</td>' + '<td align=center>'+this.vehiclelog_date+'</td>' + '<td align=center>'+this.vehiclelog_reftype+'</td>' + '<td align=center>'+this.vehiclelog_refid+'</td>' + '<td align=center>'+this.vehiclelog_description+'</td>' + '</tr>'; $('#tableField').append(myTable1); });And here is my HTML <div id="tabs-6"> <div id="rform"> <form action = "home.php" method="post"> <fieldset> <legend>View Vehicle Service</legend><br><br> <div> <label class="label-left">Vehicle Name:</label> <span role="status" aria-live="polite" class="ui-helper-hidden-accessible"></span> <input id="autocomplete" title="type "a"" class="ui-autocomplete-input" name="vehicle_service_search" autocomplete="off"> </div> <div> <button id="searchVehicleDesc" class="ui-button ui-widget ui-state-default ui-corner-all ui-button-text-only" role="button" aria-disabled="false"> <span class="ui-button-text">View</span> </button> </div> <div> <table border="1" width="650" id = "tableField"> <tr bgcolor=#c0c0c0> <td width=100 align="center"><font face="helvetica"><b>Vehicle Name</b></font></td> <td width=80 align="center"><font face="helvetica"><b>Service Type</b></font></td> <td width=80 align="center"><font face="helvetica"><b>Others</b></font></td> <td width=100 align="center"><font face="helvetica"><b>Reference No.</b></font></td> <td width=80 align="center"><font face="helvetica"><b>Reference Date</b></font></td> <td width=80 align="center"><font face="helvetica"><b>Reference Type</b></font></td> </tr> </table> </div> </fieldset> </form> </div> </div>And here is my response [{"success":1,"plate":"SIX666","name":"YAMAHA ISUZU","date":"0000-00-00","type":"Add Vehicle","id":"0","desc":""},{"success":1,"plate":"VIE597","name":"Resource id #6","date":"2014-05-09","type":"OIL","id":"332142","desc":"castroil"}]Im getting the right response from ajax but I can't put my value to a table I get an alert that says undefined. Similar TutorialsIt's been quite a while since I have coded in PHP and I am running into difficulties looping through the returned response from an API. I am pretty comfortable in my PHP skills, but for some reason I keep getting caught up trying to loop through the following... Many of the returns from the API include several more layers of Objects, the example below is about the most simplistic return from the API.
I'm sure I'm just missing something easy and any help or example code simply looping through and echoing each result would be greatly appreciated!! Ideally I would like to be able to loop through both of the scenarios below.
I did a var_dump on the response and here is what I get:
array (size=1) 'Body' => object(stdClass)[6] public 'userContext' => object(stdClass)[8] public 'convCred' => object(stdClass)[10] ... public 'valid' => boolean true public 'isPasswordExpired' => boolean false public 'cbId' => int 0083802121 public 'cnId' => int 1000545 public 'locale' => string 'en_US' (length=5) public 'tncVersion' => int 2 public 'applicationId' => string 'ECFDA1FDBC00270772870CDC1786FFED' (length=32) public 'cbConvCred' => object(stdClass)[9] ... public 'preferenceInfo' => object(stdClass)[7] ... public 'lastLoginTime' => int 1406729928 public 'loginCount' => int 282 public 'passwordRecovered' => boolean false public 'emailAddress' => string 'abc@123.com' (length=11) public 'loginName' => string 'TEST' (length=8) public 'userId' => int 15932274 public 'userType' => object(stdClass)[14] public 'userTypeId' => int 1 public 'userTypeName' => string 'normal_user' (length=11) public 'isConfirmed' => boolean falseIf I jsonencode and jsondecode the response this is what I get: object(stdClass)[13] public 'Body' => object(stdClass)[17] public 'userContext' => object(stdClass)[18] public 'convCred' => object(stdClass)[19] ... public 'valid' => boolean true public 'isPasswordExpired' => boolean false public 'cbId' => int 0083802121 public 'cnId' => int 1000545 public 'locale' => string 'en_US' (length=5) public 'tncVersion' => int 2 public 'applicationId' => string 'ECFDA1FDBC00270772870CDC1786FFED' (length=32) public 'cbConvCred' => object(stdClass)[20] ... public 'preferenceInfo' => object(stdClass)[21] ... public 'lastLoginTime' => int 1406729953 public 'loginCount' => int 283 public 'passwordRecovered' => boolean false public 'emailAddress' => string 'abc@123.com' (length=11) public 'loginName' => string 'TEST' (length=8) public 'userId' => int 15932274 public 'userType' => object(stdClass)[24] public 'userTypeId' => int 1 public 'userTypeName' => string 'normal_user' (length=11) public 'isConfirmed' => boolean false Hi. I have the fokllowing xml response from an API and I am wanting to loop through the array(s) and get informaton for each of the rows below. For example I want to get the cells below for Consulting Income / 98e83040-fa3a-4185-9b9b-a49241e2bb76/150.32 then get each of the other items in the array. So the second iitem I want is Contract Income / 7d05a53d-613d-4eb2-a2fc-dcb6adb80b80 / 11748.96 and so on for each of the results returned
I am having a mental block about best way to get this information. Please advise best approach.

trying to debug a sporadic 500 error which users occasionally get when filling out form sections on my site. Whenever it happens, I try to recreate their environment and fill out the form exactly as they have done, but can never recreate the issue. I have checked my application logs for the framework I am using, but they report nothing related to the error. I'm hoping someone here might be able to help me catch this. This is where the 500 error is sometimes happening and this triggers the error which users report: Code: [Select] //In jquery AJAX function, which submits data to PHP form for processing error: function(data,transport){ $.validationEngine.debug("error in ajax response: "+data.status+" "+transport) } Is there a way for me to try and catch what the exact error is here? The problem is I can't recreate the error, either using an AJAX call or not to call the PHP script. I need to catch the error response from the PHP script being called, but I never get an error when trying to recreate the user issue, i.e same OS/browser/form answers. The Apache error logs for the site have very little - unless I'm looking in the wrong place. I'm on CentOS, ran locate error_log and got an error_log.txt file in my vhosts directory for my site, but this just contained a 302 message log, nothing else. I also tried locate error | grep mysite. Hi, I have an ajax response text string that looks something like this: "part2=true;part7=false;part9=false;..." I would like to turn this string into an array, that looks like this: part2 = true part7 = false part9 = false I know to use the explode function, but that will only break it into an array either by using the "=" or ";" as a delimiter.... Thank you for any help. A HTTP request is made to the server, Slim creates a Request and Response object, content in the Request is sent to another server using cURL via Guzzle, Guzzle returns its own Response, and content from Guzzle's response must be returned by the original Slim response. Would you recommend white-listing or black-listing response headers, and which specific headers? Similarly, would you recommend white-listing or black-listing the request headers sent via cURL, and which specific headers? Thanks <?php use Psr\Http\Message\ResponseInterface as Response; use GuzzleHttp\Psr7\Response as CurlResponse; class ApiResponder { public function delete(Response $httpResponse, CurlResponse $curlResponse) { return $this->proxy($httpResponse, $curlResponse); } //other public methods... private function proxy(Response $httpResponse, CurlResponse $curlResponse) { foreach($this->getResponseHeaders($curlResponse) as $name=>$value) { $httpResponse=$httpResponse->withHeader($name, $value); } return $httpResponse->withBody($curlResponse->getBody())->withStatus($curlResponse->getStatusCode()); } private function getResponseHeaders(Response $httpResponse):array { //Blacklist headers which should be returned to original client. TBD whether I should whitelist headers instead. $blacklist=['Date'=>null, 'Server'=>null, 'X-Powered-By'=>null, 'Access-Control-Allow-Origin'=>null, 'Access-Control-Allow-Methods'=>null, 'Access-Control-Allow-Headers'=>null, 'Set-Cookie'=>null]; return array_diff_key($curlResponse->getHeaders(), $blacklist); } /** * This method doesn't really exist in this class, but is just included to show which headers I am forwarding in the cURL request. */ private function getRequestHeaders($clientRequest):array { $whitelist=['connection'=>null,'accept'=>null,'accept-encoding'=>null,'accept-language'=>null,'content-type'=>null,'content-length'=>null]; return array_intersect_key($clientRequest->getHeaders(), $whitelist); } }
So I have a database that is structured like this: https://imgur.com/a/DdyTqiE
I would like to loop through this table, and get a count of how many were 'is_no_show' and 'is_cancelled' per (unique) category with respect to 'scheduled_student_services.' How would I approach this? I know I probably need to do two loops but I'm not sure the PHP syntax for this. Any suggestions or tips would be helpful. Thank you for your time! Hi all I have 2 tables: 1. is a tables full of images that have an id, a src and a title (images_table). 2. table is a list of records with an id, a description and an images_id (records_table) What I'm looking to do is: Loop through the records in the records_table and find the description, the description is something like this 'Welcome to Kansas'. Then, I want to loop through the images_table and find the associated image of Kansas, based on a MySQL LIKE statement. This is because the images_table has a title of 'Kansas', for example. Once this has been done, I then need to insert the id of Kansas into the images_id in the records_table a possible MySQL UPDATE. Has anyone got an idea how I could do this? Thanks No idea what I am doing here. I have a joined table which is:
$sql = "SELECT itemnum, image1, title, close, quantity, bidquantity, ". I need to loop through the table on buser and insert select data into two other tables. One of the tables is the control table which will only have one row per buser. The other table I guess you would call the data table of the two and may have more than one row depending. The catch is these will be linked together by an invoice number. Table A, the control table has a field for invoice number, table B does not. Of course once the data is inserted into the new tables they will be joined and from there on it should be easy. I just don't know now how to get there. I've thought about using an array to loop through, but I don't know enough about them to make any sense of this. Not even sure the group by may help me in doing this. Anyone have any ideas on this? I sure do need it and thanks in advance! Hello, I'm new! I am trying to populate a list of locations based on ratings. I can populate the list just fine but it's displaying every record in the table. Is there a way of only looping 4 times so as to just display the top 4 records? Here's the code: Code: [Select] $result = mysql_query("SELECT * FROM locations ORDER BY rating DESC"); while($row = mysql_fetch_array($result)) { echo $row['name']; echo "<br>; } Thankyou in advance for any help Right now I redirect to index page after I delete a record. However I am looking to make it so that I can delete a record without redirecting the page. I know this can be accomplised using Ajax. I have spent countless hours before trying to make it work, but it did not work.
So here is a basic setup I created. Can you please update it with ajax code so that I can see how it's done properly?
<!DOCTYPE HTML> <html lang="en"> <head> <meta charset="UTF-8"> <title>Home Page</title> </head> <body> <div class="record" > <a href="record.php?id=<?php echo $record_id ?>"><?php echo $record_name; ?></a> <div class="delete-record"> <a href="delete.php">Delete Record</a> </div> </div> </body> </html> Edited by man5, 18 August 2014 - 08:55 PM. Now I'm having this strange issue with my website I'm currently working on a tester system and I've encountered a problem that I'm unable to find the issue, tho I'm thinking my ajax php part of the script to be the thing causing it even tho it seems strange that it would cause it. The first part which is connected to where the problem occurs is the echo"<form>"; and from there, It should take you to index.php?page=tester&select=answer, now that is where it in the browser goes there tho it still shows the page stuff from the last page which is index.php?page=tester&select=applications, so it's like showing both &select=answer and &select=applications on the same page. <?php $q=$_GET["q"]; include'../config/connection.php'; $result = mysql_query("SELECT * FROM applications WHERE id = '$q'"); echo "<center><table border='1'> <tr> <th>Account Name</th> <th>Character Name</th> <th>Gender</th> <th>Skin Color</th> </tr>"; $row = mysql_fetch_array($result); echo "<tr>"; echo "<td>" . $row['name'] . "</td>"; echo "<td>" . $row['charactername'] . "</td>"; echo "<td>" . $row['gender'] . "</td>"; echo "<td>" . $row['race'] . "</td>"; echo "</tr></table></center>"; echo"<br/>"; echo"<table><tr> <th>Description</th> <th>Metagaming</th> <th>Powergaming</th></tr>"; echo"<tr>"; echo "<td><textarea readonly='readonly' style='width:22em; height:20em;'>".$row['description']."</textarea></td>"; echo "<td><textarea readonly='readonly' style='width:22em; height:20em;'>".$row['mg']."</textarea></td>"; echo "<td><textarea readonly='readonly' style='width:22em; height:20em;'>".$row['pg']."</textarea></td>"; echo"</tr></table><table><br/><center><h1>Answer</h1><br/><form action='index.php?page=tester&select=answer' method='post'>"; echo"<textarea name='why' style='height:10em; width:60em;'></textarea><br/>"; echo"<input type='submit' name='answer' value='Accept' /><a/>"; echo"<input type='submit' name='answer' value='Decline' /></center>"; echo"<input type='hidden' name='id' value='$q'/>"; echo"</form></table>"; ?> Now on &select=answer it included a page which the script of that include consist of the stuff below, it outputs that the query was successfully, and all that. <? if(!empty($_POST['why'])) { $why = mysql_real_escape_string($_POST['why']); $answer = trim($_POST['answer']); $id = $_POST['id']; if($answer == "Accept") { $query1 = mysql_query("UPDATE characters SET accepted = '1' WHERE id = '".$id."'"); echo"Successfully accepted"; $answer = 1; } elseif($answer == "Decline") { echo"Successfully declined"; $answer = 0; } $query = mysql_query("UPDATE applications SET answer = '$why' AND tester = '".$_COOKIE['Username']."' AND accepted = '$answer' AND answered = '1' WHERE cid = '".$id."'") or die('Could not connect: ' . mysql_error()); if($query) { echo"<br/>Query went through without problems"; header("Refresh: 5;url=index.php?page=tester"); } } ?> This is the ajax part javascript of it which gets the information for index.php?page=tester&select=applications Code: [Select] <script type="text/javascript"> function showApplication(str) { if (str==""||str==0) { document.getElementById("txtHint").innerHTML=""; return; } if (window.XMLHttpRequest) {// code for IE7+, Firefox, Chrome, Opera, Safari xmlhttp=new XMLHttpRequest(); } xmlhttp.onreadystatechange=function() { if (xmlhttp.readyState==4 && xmlhttp.status==200) { document.getElementById("txtHint").innerHTML=xmlhttp.responseText; } } xmlhttp.open("GET","tester/applications.php?q="+str,true); xmlhttp.send(); } </script>If you need any more information feel free to ask for it. Thanks in advance. Hello, I've been trying this for hours now, looking at different examples and trying to change them to work for me, but with no luck... This is what I am trying to do: I have a simple form with: - 1 input field, where I can enter a number - 1 Submit Button When I enter a number into the field and click submit, I want that number to be send to the php file that is in the ajax call, then the script will take that number and run a bunch of queries and then return a new number. I want that new number to be used to call the php script via ajax again, until no number is returned, or something else is returned like the word "done" or something like that, at which point is simply makes an alert or populated a div with a message... The point is, that depending on the number entered it could take up to an hour to complete ALL the queries, so I want the script that is called to only run a fixed amount of queries at a time and then return the number it is currently at (+1), so that it can continue with the next number when it is called again. I would like to use jquery, but could also be any other way, as long as I get this to work. I already have the php script completed that needs to be called by the ajax, it returns a single number when being called. Thank you, vb I send off this: <?php $data = "<egateway> <eCardExpiryMonth>01</eCardExpiryMonth> <eCardExpiryYear>04</eCardExpiryYear> <eCardHoldersName>Joe Bloke</eCardHoldersName> <eCardNumber>4444333322221111</eCardNumber> <eCVN>123</eCVN> <eTotalAmount>100</eTotalAmount> </egateway> "; $ch = curl_init(); curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_POSTFIELDS, $edata); curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_URL, "https://www.example.com/gateway_cvn/testpage.asp"); curl_exec($ch); curl_close($ch); ?> In return, I get the following XML: Code: [Select] <eResponse> <eTrxnStatus>True</eTrxnStatus> <eTrxnNumber>20219</eTrxnNumber> <eAuthCode>123456</eAuthCode> <eReturnAmount>100</eReturnAmount> <eTrxnError>00,Transaction Approved(Test CVN Gateway)</eTrxnError> </eResponse> Is there a way to make it so this does not show, and instead I can make PHP do something like: if (eTrxnStatus == True) {// do stuff}; ? Hello All, running into a situation that I have not seen before. I have been seeing in multiple areas of my application that the response received from the server has 2 JSON responses in it. Here is a sample function: private function getCatalogItems(){ $start = ($_REQUEST["start"] == null)? 0 : $_REQUEST["start"]; $count = ($_REQUEST["limit"] == null)? 20 : $_REQUEST["limit"]; $q = "SELECT c.`id`, c.`catalog_number`, c.`long_description`, CONCAT(c.`catalog_number`, ' - ', c.`long_description`) AS `display` FROM catalog c"; if(!empty($_REQUEST['query'])){ $q .= " WHERE c.`catalog_number` LIKE '%".$_POST['query']."%'"; } $q .= " ORDER BY c.`catalog_number` ASC LIMIT ".$start.",".$count; $rs = $this->db->get_results($q); $total = $this->db->num_rows; $buff = '{"total":"'.$total.'","data":'.json_encode($rs).'}'; $this->c->returnJSON($buff); } The "returnJSON" function looks like this. public function returnJSON($json){ $contentType = "application/json; charset=utf-8"; header("Content-Type: {$contentType}"); header("Content-Size: " . strlen($json)); echo $json; } As you can see this simply sets the headers of the response. It has been a real head scratcher. Anyone come across something like this before? How can I receive a response from the server with JSON data, when the function that retrieves the data and returns it to the browser has been completely commented out? I am making an AJAX request for JSON formatted data and for some reason it returns a response when it shouldn't as there is no function? Hello, I'm trying to get webservice response in xml format. I'm getting the response but it's not in xml. It's just text.
