PHP - Updating Multiple Array Daya With Selection And Checkbox Values

What I have is a page with a list of cars, each with a checkbox next to them.

That works fine. What I'm trying to do with this second page, is select all the car's info from a table called "garage" which stores data for all the cars (car name, year, etc) and display it. UCI stands for Unique car id, every car has a different id. It works when the user only selects one car on the previous page, but if they select two or more cars, only the car with the highest UCI number shows up. How would I work it to display info on every car that they selected?

So first of all, I have a confession, I used Dreamweaver to take care of all my database work. Pheww. Now that I got that of my chest, I am having problems, not only with my lack of experience working with databases, but with my script also. I need to insert multiple checkbox values into my database into the same cell. So I have searched around and I thought I had found a fairly good approach, but with Dw's hodgepodge of overcomplicated mess, I am finding problems integrating it. The error I am getting post submission is "Warning: mysql_real_escape_string() expects parameter 1 to be string, array given in C:\wamp\www\gov\ballot.php on line 10

Hi

I have a results page from a  MySQL query and I have implemented pagination to present data in chunks of 25 per page in a table view (each row => 1 entry).

My problem is that next to each data row, I have a selection checkbox, and if the user clicks on it, he can download the selected entries. This thing worked OK before I employed paginated view, when I presented all data in one page. Now, if I select e.g. 2 entries in page 1, then I jump to page 12 and select another 2 entries, if I click on the "Retrieve" button, I get only the last 2 entries (from the last page visited).

How can I solve this problem? With JS? Can I use PHP only?

Hi. I have a form with a selection of checkboxes. I am trying to use an array to store the results in a single column of a mysql database. The problem is, instead of the values, it just stores 'array'.

I have a situation where I need to remember what check boxes where checked over pagination, I have managed to do this via the use of this:

The problem is that as the code stood:

It was treating one ticked checkbox as them all because they all have the same name and are in the a while loop!

I countered this by changing the code to:

<input type="checkbox" name="compare<?php echo $list['jobseeker_id']?>" value="<?php echo $list['jobseeker_id'];?>" class="remember_cb"/>
Which effectively now makes the checkbox name unique... i.e. compare{id}.

The problem with this is that I can now no longer process it. This is my processing code:

I have a really confusing question.  I dynamically generate arrays, but for the simplicity of the example we can just use two arrays.

How can I make the arrays multiple based on the same key value? 

array 1[0] * array 2[0] = 2
array 1[1] * array 2[1] = 30

I then want to sum the total of the multiplication.

$total = 2 + 30;

Hey all need some help with the subject title.

Have a user text file with all information(Name, address, passwords, etc..) Need to be able to select the user based on Checkbox selection then hit delete button and all users checked will be removed from the txt file and thus removed from HTML page. Im using PHP to show contents of the txt file into my HTML page.

Hello all,

   I am trying to learn OOP in PHP so please forgive my ignorance. I seem to be having difficulty inserting data into my database from checkbox items. My database has a column for each each fruit. I would like for each column to be populated with either a one(1) for checked or a zero(0)  for not checked. Currently, my attempts have failed. I can either get all checkboxes to insert all zeros or I can get the first column to insert a one(1) while the others as zeros. Is there anybody here that can help me figure out what I am doing wrong and help me to re-work my code so I can get this to work? If anybody can help me using OOP methods that would be fantastic. I am trying to make a Web Form for people to fill out that has two drop down menus where i want the first drop down menu's selection changes the values of the selections in the second drop down. ((IE. If the first drop down value is "product 01" then the second drop down shows values "Red, Green, Blue" while if the first drop down value is "product 02" then the second drop down shows values "Yellow, Green"))

My company has 240+ locations and as such some users (general managers) cover multiple sites.  When I run a query to pull user information, when the user has multiple sites to his or her name, its adds the second / third sites to the next columns, rather than wrapping it inside the same table cell.  It also works the opposite way, if a piece of data is missing in the database and is blank, its pull the following columns in.  Both cases mess up the table and formatting.  I'm extremely new to any kind of programming and maybe this isn't the forum for this question but figured I'd give it a chance since I'm stuck.

When I try to select more than one value for my report, only one value shows.  I tried a few things, but I'm not having any luck.
