PHP - Downloading + Zipping Multiple Tiff Files.
Hi guys,
i have an array of data, with customers and their pics. something like: Quote array (customerid=>customerpic,...........); something like Quote 123412=>'https://mylink.com/mypic343545.tiff' 433453=>'https://mylink.com/mypic3434345.tiff' my goal is to: 1. go through the array and download all the pics, with names like customerid.tiff 2. when done renaming, make a zip file ON-THE-FLY 3. download the zip file to my PC. i know i can use file_put_contents and things like that, but i am not able to really connect the dots, especially the zipping of them all on the fly.....anyone has an idea on this? Similar TutorialsI have this code and its downloading file nicely. But I want to show a progress bar while downloading file from external server. My existing code shows progress bar but its not effective (ex. if i try to download two media file, one video and another audio, and video size is larger than audio size the audio finishes first and the progress bar shows 100% also suddenly it drops to 50% as the video is still downloading ). I mean it actually shows two progress and I need one. If I could get average percentage value of two progress that would be better. Any suggestion regarding this will be greatly appreciated. <?php set_time_limit ( 0 ); function define_progress_callback($i) { global $conn; curl_setopt($conn[$i], CURLOPT_PROGRESSFUNCTION, function ($resource,$download_size, $downloaded, $upload_size, $uploaded) { if($download_size > 0) $progress = round($downloaded / $download_size * 100); echo '<script language="javascript">$(".loader").loader("setProgress", '.$progress.');</script>'; echo str_pad("",1024," "); flush(); usleep(20000); }); } $urls = array("http://example.com/file.mp3", "http:/example.com/file.mp4"); $save_to='./tmp/'; $conn = array(); $fp = array(); $mh = curl_multi_init(); foreach ($urls as $i => $url) { $g = $save_to . basename($url); $conn[$i]=curl_init($url); $fp[$i]=fopen ($g, "wb"); curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_SSL_VERIFYPEER, FALSE); // No certificate curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_FOLLOWLOCATION, TRUE); curl_setopt ($conn[$i], CURLOPT_FILE, $fp[$i]); curl_setopt ($conn[$i], CURLOPT_HEADER ,0); curl_setopt($conn[$i],CURLOPT_CONNECTTIMEOUT,60); curl_setopt ($conn[$i], CURLOPT_MAXCONNECTS, 10); curl_setopt($conn[$i], CURLOPT_NOPROGRESS, false); define_progress_callback($i); curl_multi_add_handle ($mh,$conn[$i]); } do { $n=curl_multi_exec($mh,$active); } while ($active); foreach ($urls as $i => $url) { curl_multi_remove_handle($mh,$conn[$i]); curl_close($conn[$i]); fclose($fp[$i]); } curl_multi_close($mh); ?> Edited by requinix, 18 January 2015 - 08:16 AM. no code tags meant auto-embedding of mp3 Hello Everyone, I seem to have stumbled upon something that looks like it is next to impossible in PHP; zipping files/folders on demand in php :p So, after doing some extensive google searching, I have found various functions; some work only zipping files, other have no comments, some just don't work at all, etc. After looking at multiple projects, I have finally compiled something that works and has some sort of comments on what the heck is going on. Code: [Select] <?php class zipfile { /** * Array to store compressed data * * @var array $datasec */ var $datasec = array(); /** * Central directory * * @var array $ctrl_dir */ var $ctrl_dir = array(); /** * End of central directory record * * @var string $eof_ctrl_dir */ var $eof_ctrl_dir = "\x50\x4b\x05\x06\x00\x00\x00\x00"; /** * Last offset position * * @var integer $old_offset */ var $old_offset = 0; /** * Add a directory * * @var string $name */ function add_dir($name) { $name = str_replace("", "/", $name); $fr = "\x50\x4b\x03\x04"; $fr .= "\x0a\x00"; $fr .= "\x00\x00"; $fr .= "\x00\x00"; $fr .= "\x00\x00\x00\x00"; $fr .= pack("V",0); $fr .= pack("V",0); $fr .= pack("V",0); $fr .= pack("v", strlen($name) ); $fr .= pack("v", 0 ); $fr .= $name; $fr .= pack("V", 0); $fr .= pack("V", 0); $fr .= pack("V", 0); $this -> datasec[] = $fr; $new_offset = strlen(implode("", $this->datasec)); $cdrec = "\x50\x4b\x01\x02"; $cdrec .="\x00\x00"; $cdrec .="\x0a\x00"; $cdrec .="\x00\x00"; $cdrec .="\x00\x00"; $cdrec .="\x00\x00\x00\x00"; $cdrec .= pack("V",0); $cdrec .= pack("V",0); $cdrec .= pack("V",0); $cdrec .= pack("v", strlen($name) ); $cdrec .= pack("v", 0 ); $cdrec .= pack("v", 0 ); $cdrec .= pack("v", 0 ); $cdrec .= pack("v", 0 ); $cdrec .= pack("V", 16 ); $cdrec .= pack("V", $this -> old_offset ); $cdrec .= $name; $this -> ctrl_dir[] = $cdrec; $this -> old_offset = $new_offset; } /** * Converts an Unix timestamp to a four byte DOS date and time format (date * in high two bytes, time in low two bytes allowing magnitude comparison). * * @param integer the current Unix timestamp * * @return integer the current date in a four byte DOS format * * @access private */ function unix2DosTime($unixtime = 0) { $timearray = ($unixtime == 0) ? getdate() : getdate($unixtime); if ($timearray['year'] < 1980) { $timearray['year'] = 1980; $timearray['mon'] = 1; $timearray['mday'] = 1; $timearray['hours'] = 0; $timearray['minutes'] = 0; $timearray['seconds'] = 0; } // end if return (($timearray['year'] - 1980) << 25) | ($timearray['mon'] << 21) | ($timearray['mday'] << 16) | ($timearray['hours'] << 11) | ($timearray['minutes'] << 5) | ($timearray['seconds'] >> 1); } // end of the 'unix2DosTime()' method /** * Adds "file" to archive * * @param string file contents * @param string name of the file in the archive (may contains the path) * * @access public */ function add_file($data, $name) { // Read the file $fp = fopen($data,"r"); $data = fread($fp,filesize($data)); fclose($fp); // Clean the file name $name = str_replace("", "/", $name); $dtime = dechex($this->unix2DosTime(0)); $hexdtime = '\x' . $dtime[6] . $dtime[7] . On a Mac, this works with the stuffit program, but the default archive program does not like the zips if it contains a directory. If you comment out $zipTest->add_dir("images/");, the archive will work great on a Mac as well. Could someone help me get this class to create a working directory on a Mac as well? I am at a point where I would be willing to pay for your time if you can help me get this working (via paypal of course). Thanks in advance! weeee I'm trying to find a way to back up an entire servers file through PHP. I have a script that can take selected files into a zip file but I'm not sure how to make sure that when I loop through directory and files that I get every single file. I was thinking of just foreach(glob('*') as $file up to 10 times but I'm hoping there's something more definite then that method... Thanks Hello, I never dealt with such a feature before but I found a small script online that I am editing that works just fine. The problem is that it includes all of the directories in the path of my site in the zip. So if the path of my webhost is: /home/bob/files/ the zip will create a folder such as /home (inside that folder) /bob (inside that folder) /files (then the zipped files I wanted). I just want the zip files and I did store them out of the www/public_html directory to prevent people from downloading the files directly from the web but is there no way to make it not include all of those directories in the zip and only show the files? If so I will post the code that I have. Thanks Is there a code library out there that can read the exif data from image files, without the use of the php exif extension? I have a Windows hosting package and am noticing that several hosts don't (and won't) enable the exif extension for PHP for some reason. I need Windows for one of my sites which requires MS SQL access, so I can't use a Unix/Linux host because of that. But all of them support PHP on Windows.
Suggestions?
Hi I am creating an e-commerce website, where users who pay with their credit card are able to download pdf books. how can I make a PDF file only accessible for those users (who pay and validate their credit card) and not for everyone ? I want to know the main idea about securing these files. I need to dwonload a remote file say http://abc.com/files/abc.zip. Assuming that the file size > 100MB Is there a way to download the file in parts/chunks say 10MB each ? Hi, I'm wondering if anyone knows of any good information regarding downloading files. I'm looking into creating a relatively simple download system, where people will be sent a link say (download.php?id=dnjwaAYFDAg734) (where id would be an encrypted value, and obviously a lot longer!). That script would then decode the id number and allow the user to download the appropriate file. Any help would be hugely grateful as I'm a little unsure of where to go and a quick look through google doesn't show too much up. Thanks Edd I'm a newbie to PHP but I want to amend a website I run for a musician friend of mine so that when people purchase his albums (sold as ZIP files) they don't see the link to the actual file, but PHP generates a randomly named copy, then downloads it for them and then deletes the copy when complete. All works well except the download. With the large files the download goes to about 1/2 way through and then just stalls until it aborts. Here's the code... Code: [Select] <?php $path = "../_downloads/"; // change the path to fit your websites document structure $fullPath = $path.$_GET['file']; if ($fd = fopen ($fullPath, "r")) { $fsize = filesize($fullPath); $path_parts = pathinfo($fullPath); $ext = strtolower($path_parts["extension"]); switch ($ext) { case "zip": header("Content-type: application/zip"); // add here more headers for diff. extensions header("Content-Disposition: attachment; filename=\"".$path_parts["basename"]."\""); // use 'attachment' to force a download break; default; header("Content-type: application/octet-stream"); header("Content-Disposition: filename=\"".$path_parts["basename"]."\""); } header("Content-length: $fsize"); header("Cache-control: private"); //use this to open files directly stream_set_timeout($fd, 600); while(!feof($fd)) { $buffer = fgets($fd,8192); echo $buffer; } } $info = stream_get_meta_data($fd); fclose ($fd); if ($info['timed_out']) { echo 'Connection timed out!'; } else { echo 'Done'; } exit; // example: place this kind of link into the document where the file download is offered: // <a href="download.php?file=some_file.pdf">Download here</a> ?> The link to run it is below... www.godfreyb.com/_scripts/download.php?file=cd12_vg.zip I've tried the @readfile(); function and this does the same thing, get to about 60.5 Mb and stalls. I even tried passthru('cat ' . $fullPath); to send the file and that doesn't send anything at all. The site is hosted by FastHosts on a Windows 2008 server with PHP5 installed. Directly linking to the ZIP file results in a perfect download everytime. Can anyone suggest a way to get this working? It's driving me nuts! Hi, I want to download more than one file at a time. But now I can't download any of them that way. I want to solve it the way it is in gmail, i.e. I download either 1 file separately or if there are two or more, it is zipped. Hello I'm building a backend to allow a client to upload images to his site. But my client has a lot of images in tiff format so i'd like to be able to convert tiff to jpg and only after that upload the image. i'm using the command move_uploaded_file to upload the original image and then i'm resizing the image and creating a new one and delete the original. now i want to add to my script a way to convert the original tiff to jpeg, resize save and delete the original here is my code that it's working fine: Code: [Select] if ($_FILES['foto']['name'] == "") { $dir = "images/spacer.gif"; } else { $size = 124; // the thumbnail height $filedir = 'img/ambientes/'; // the directory for the original image $thumbdir = 'img/ambientes/'; // the directory for the thumbnail image $prefix = 'small_'; // the prefix to be added to the original name $maxfile = '200000'; $mode = '0666'; $userfile_name = $_FILES['foto']['name']; $userfile_tmp = $_FILES['foto']['tmp_name']; $userfile_size = $_FILES['foto']['size']; $userfile_type = $_FILES['foto']['type']; if (isset($_FILES['foto']['name'])) { $prod_img = $filedir.$userfile_name; $prod_img_thumb = $thumbdir.$prefix.$userfile_name; move_uploaded_file($userfile_tmp, $prod_img); chmod ($prod_img, octdec($mode)); $sizes = getimagesize($prod_img); $aspect_ratio = $sizes[0]/$sizes[1]; if ($sizes[0] <= $size) { $new_width = $size; $new_height = abs($new_width*$aspect_ratio); }else{ $new_width = $size; $new_height = abs($new_width/$aspect_ratio); } $destimg=ImageCreateTrueColor($new_width,$new_height) or die('Problem In Creating image'); $srcimg=ImageCreateFromJPEG($prod_img) or die('Problem In opening Source Image'); ImageCopyResampled($destimg, $srcimg, 0, 0, 0, 0, $new_width, $new_height, $sizes[0], $sizes[1]) or die('Problem In resampling'); ImageJPEG($destimg,$prod_img_thumb,90) or die('Problem In saving'); $uploadfile = $prod_img_thumb; imagedestroy($destimg); $fh = fopen($prod_img, 'w') or die("can't open file"); fclose($fh); unlink($prod_img); $dir = $uploadfile; } } anyone can help me? I need to be able to upload multiple files with the use of one form. Right now I have support for one file and it works great. I am stuck on what route I should take for times sake and reliability and functionality. Can I run each file on its own through the PHP script to upload the file; I would have to create a loop to run through the script as many times as there are files. OR Do I create new functionality and add the files through the use of an array? This is where I am getting the ARRAY idea: http://www.phpeasystep.com/phptu/2.html This is the PHP code that is submitting the image and uploading to file system. This is what I would use to loop through multiple files if I take the loop method. <? header("location: /classifieds/index.php"); echo '<html><center>'; //first lets upload any files that were selected// $date = date("m/d/y",time()); //check that we have a file if((!empty($_FILES["uploaded_file"])) && ($_FILES['uploaded_file']['error'] == 0)) { //Check if the file is JPEG image and it's size is less than 350Kb $filename = basename($_FILES['uploaded_file']['name']); $ext = substr($filename, strrpos($filename, '.') + 1); if (($ext == "jpg") && ($_FILES["uploaded_file"]["type"] == "image/jpeg") && ($_FILES["uploaded_file"]["size"] < 2500000)) { //Determine the path to which we want to save this file $newname = dirname(__FILE__).'/uploads/'.$filename; //Check if the file with the same name is already exists on the server if (!file_exists($newname)) { //Attempt to move the uploaded file to it's new place if ((move_uploaded_file($_FILES['uploaded_file']['tmp_name'],$newname))) { //strip off file path for $newname variable so path is not accessible via html// $tempnewname = explode('/', $newname); echo $tempnewname; $newname=$tempnewname[9].'/'.$tempnewname[10]; echo "It's done! My first file (index.php) calls an ajax request for (display.php) and sends a few variables to it. All fine so far. display.php then does its thing and displays the content on index.php as it should. Now in display.php I need a variable to be passed back to index.php for use in a menu. I've tried setting a session variable in display.php but unfortunately this doesn't seem to work. I also can't use get or post as I don't want to refresh the page. Really scratching my head over this one!
