PHP - Why Am I Not Getting The Number Of Expected Result Through The Loop?

I want to save the results of a loop as a variable ie $output.  I have tried encasing the php within quotes but it does not work.  Is there a way to save the complete results as a variable?

The part I want as one result (ie. $complete) is the result of the while loop.  There is always at least one result but sometimes 10 which means that it creates 10 table rows.  I need to do it this way as later on in the page I use a pdf converter which does not allow loop checks within it otherwise I would just place it within the converter.

I am having a little bit of trouble with this piece of code.  I'm sure it's something simple, but I have been working on this thing all day and want to get it finally finished.

The purpose of this particular bit is to run on a cron every few days.  It gets "createdate" and other info from the "complete" table in order to know how old the record is.  If the record is older than (in the example, 1 minute; it will be set to several days on public) the defined max age, it removes that directory and everything within it to keep the directory clean and the disk usage down.

I know the error is in my while loop but i cant seem to figure out exactly where. The new code displays all of the first query in the table and then below that it displays the next query insted of displaying them side by side below would be an example of what is happening

New to PHP and trying to loop through rows to and get the name of the "property" in this case.  I have tried foreach and while and neither seem to want to return all rows by calling the function.  Does it have something to do with echo'ing the table structure or can I not return an array out of a function like this?  I commented out the while loop as that wasn't working and put in a foreach loop though that didn't return all the data either.  Any help is greatly appreciated

For the section of code below, is there a way to say, "first time through the query print on A2, B2,etc, then each query following add increase the number besides column name to be A3, B3, etc, then A4, B4, etc"...?

I want to run this loop until it has created 50 or a 100 links, max. At present it continues running even though no inputs are being added to the database. I suspect, it keeps looping through and collecting duplicates and then not adding them to the database. I see this as two options, I either limit the number of loops or must find someway for the pages that have already been crawled to be skipped. I am busy doing a php course and the lecturer is not answering questions about how the code could be improved. I figure that if you are going to do something in a training course it should be able to do what it needs to and if it doesn't it needs a little alteration. 

Right now this keeps looping till a 503 error happens, and then I am not sure if it is not still running server side.  In effect it does what I want it to do and all the changes I made have solved a few issues. 

How do I get it to stop before it crashes? I am thinking limiting the instances of createLink is the solution, but I am at sea here.

Here's what I'm wanting to do:

Number = 100
In a for loop take that number, 100, and break it down into 5 random numbers to equal 100.

So the for loop would output something like this:

1. 32
2. 5
3. 18
4. 9
5. 36

Total = 100

Everytime the numbers would be different.

I'm trying to increase the variables $schedulemonth, $scheduledate, $scheduleyear in each loop so that they look like $schedulemonth1, $schedulemonth2, $schedulemonth3, etc... for each of them.  I've tried several options and know I'm on the right track, but no go.

The customer will choose how many payments and the script below will loop that many times - I have that part working - but the calendar I'm using with the variables above is the issue.

Additionally it needs to  pick up each of these variables on the next page  the variables are part of hidden fields in an form later in the page.  So my question is actually 3 fold.
1. How do I increase the variable count in the loop above.
2. How do I put the <input type="hidden".......> in the form so that it loops through and catches the increasing variables
3. How do I loop through on the insertion page after the form is submitted to catch how many inserts to the database are needed.

Hi All,   I'm looking to update a mysql column weekly, where by 5 randomly selected rows are given a new random number, from between 1 and the num_rows / 5. This cycle is looped again until all the entries have a new random group for the week. It is to help mix up the players for teams for 5 aside. It needs to be able to accomodate the posibillity of the num_rows not dividing exactly by 5, using ceil perhaps?   As an example   Name Group  a 1 b 2 c 1 d 1 e 1 f 3 g 2 h 1 i 2 j 2 k 2   Then Next week Name Group  a 2 b 1 c 2 d 2 e 1 f 2 g 3 h 1 i 2 j 1 k 1   I hope that makes sense. I know my userid is valid and and the date is set above (I've echo'd these out to make sure).  Since the id is auto_increment, I do not put that in my sql (though I've tried that too), nor in my params (tried that too).  What am I missing?  I feel certain it is something small, but I have spent days checking commas, semi-colons and spelling.  Can anyone see what I'm doing wrong?

I'm trying to turn this while loop into a for loop and am unable to get my result set to display properly in the for loop.  The while works fine I just want to be able to have more control over which information is shown in my table as I loop and was wanting to use a for loop that way I can take advantage of the counter variable while i"m displaying my information.  Any help would be appreciated.

Hey, sorry that I am posting this darn image upload script again, I have this almost finished and I am not looking to ask more questions when it comes to this script specifically.   With the script above I have that part where the script should store the ID numbers (the auto_increment column of the table) of the image files inside of one array and then the "implode()" function would get used on the array and then the ID numbers would get inserted into the "image_file_id" column of the "thread" table.   As you can see at the above part the script prints the following:

                    Array ( [0] => 542 )

                    Array ( [0] => 543 )

                    Array ( [0] => 544 )

And I am looking to insert into the column of the table the following:

542, 543, 544

I thought of re-writing the whole image upload script since this happens inside the for loop, though I thought maybe I could be having this done with the script as it is right now.   Any suggestions on how to do this?

I am really lost here with this date issue of mine. The below code is the last part of a query:

The query does not return any results as expected, but when echoing the various steps I get following:

why does it return anything on "date("D", $defendercheck1_3)" when "$defendercheck1_3" is blank?
