PHP - Filter Array By A Node Value Userid

Hi guys,

I'm trying to build an array to replicate the hierarchy in a menu:

<ul>
<li><a href="file1.html">text1</a></li>

<ul>
<li><a href="file2.html">text2</a></li>
<li><a href="file3.html">text3</a></li>
<li><a href="file4.html">text4</a></li>
<li><a href="file5.html">text5</a></li>
</ul>

</ul>

An i would like the output to be:

"text1"
"text1", "text2"
"text1", "text3"
"text1", "text4"
"text1", "text5"
 

Here is my loop to go through the html hierarchy:

        foreach ($html2->find('ul') as $ul) {
            foreach ($ul->find('li') as $li) {
                foreach($li->find('a') as $a) { 
                    // need to filter out empty and index.html, tried if(!$->href = 'index.html) {do stuff} but didn't work
                    $links2[] = $a->href ;
                    $taxo2[] = $a->plaintext ;                   
                }
            }
        }

This finds all the links but not the hierarchy, any ideas how to approach this? And also how to filter out blanks and references to index.html?

im driveing crazy with this... i have a database with a field with descriptions of products named "DESCRIP" in the main page i have a text field where user write the words to search for i wanrt make an
       "SELECT * FROM models where descrip like xxx OR descrip like xxx... bla bla bla"

Hi, i'm new here and hope i've finally found a forum where i can find the perfect solution for my questions.   Well since a year now i started to work with PHP and still now and then there are some things where i seize on. My question is on of those situations.   I have the following code:

All i want is when there is an empty (not filled in) input field because it is not mandatory the foreach still continuous to the end. When i use

if (!empty($value)){

It still outputs these error:   Fatal error: Uncaught exception 'PDOException' with message 'SQLSTATE[HY000]: General error: 1366 Incorrect integer value: ' '   However, when i dont use i got an other error:    Fatal error: Uncaught exception 'PDOException' with message 'SQLSTATE[22007]: Invalid datetime format: 1292 Incorrect date value: ''   It is however so that the datetime is the very first empty field it come across when looping. I think my if (!empty($value)){ is doing the right thing but still gives error's on integers. Can it be? I allready tried to use trim() or array_filter() but because i previously never used it i dont know if i am doing it the right way so any help is welkom!   Thanks!

Say I have this array:

and 2 variables - $occMin and $occMax as number of occurrences.

If:

$occMax = 3;

I want to produce sorted list with most occurrences at the top:

1 => array('time', 2)
);
My face just melted at the thought of even beginning to tackle this. Is this somewhat possible? would it require a monster function or am I missing some native php functions which could lend a hand?

Hey,   I'm really new to PHP and having some difficulties with $_SESSION and getting userid from the database. I've managed to put content to my database and also a login script. Though, adding sessions has been a pain. Here's what I got so far:

I must say this forum looks great and its good to be here.

Now I'll get straight to the point. I am working on a website where supplier and a member should be able to login with a single UserID.

That is, a member can be a supplier at the same time (logged in with the same ID) and if he is the supplier, he should be given a link taking him to the supplier admin area. If he is just a member, that supplier link will not be there.

Having a separate ID for member and supplier is not what is required. If the member is a supplier there will be a supplier admin link.

When I try to compile the following code, I receive a warning:

When I try to compile my php file in phpDesigner I accept Notice. But, when I run the same php file from browser echo "$userid"; code workes. And I see the userid transferred from another php file on the screen. So I do not understand why I get this notice in compilation process.

Have a question that i hope some one can help me answer.

I have started creating a facebook app that will translate lovepoems.

The problem im having is that facebook redirects everything wrong, which makes my life a living hell. So what i thought is it's possible to while submitting the form and the user gets redirected to the facebook allow app page, wait with submitting the form or maybe bring the post id with me and then post the content to the db liked to the post from a different page.

simply so i don't have to make the accept form and then go to the actual content?


So I'm using Wordpress as default CMS system if that helps.

I have xml like this.

All i need to do is get any one of the  whole node from starting item tag to ending item tag from the xml, for example.  getting

<item ID="30002">
      <Company>Performant Systems</Company> 
   </item>

from whole xml file.

Can this be achieved using  SimpleXML object from PHP? if not how it can be done.

I'm trying to add/update an xml like so:
$xml->Header->Record->$curblk->$row = $value;
where $curblk and $row are obviously nodes.
Problem is that sometimes I need to add/update nodes of the same name so I tried this:
$xml->Header->Record->$curblk->$row[$multi] = $value; where $multi would represent the number (or instance or key?) of that node I wish to add/update.  Issue with that is, php thinks that I'm tring to set the node as an array, which is not possible!

So how do I dynamically add/update $row[0] , $row[1] , $row[2] base on the two variable, $row and $multi? ie:

$multi = 0;
<author>Jim Bob</author>
$row = Tom Reed;
$multi = 1;
<author>Tom Reed</author>
You get:

How do I update an xml node?

Currently I have this:
$xml = simplexml_load_file($xmlfile);
$user = $xml->xpath('/root/users/user/name');
$usr = $user[0][0]->asXML();
$usr = $name;

I don't know if that I right or not, but I do know that if it is right, it isn't updating the xml file. Am I on the right track, or not? What can I do?
