I basically need the button to redirect to another web page after a customer hits 'I agree'. I don't know PHP much. Can someone help step by step, please?

Hey guys, Been working on a project but only recently started using php.
What happens is.... I have a general quiz split accross a multipage form and then a results section. The problem is, is that when it comes to if statements on the last page and deciding the difficulty level for the users quiz, it wont let me add the 3rd and final link.
Here is the code to explain. I have put bits in bold and a comment. (at the bottom section)

Hey Guys,

I'm querying a database that is going to return a html page. In this page I'm going to define content areas with a class.

eg:
<div class="category"></div>

Anywhere I have this class in the html code, I want to dynamically insert a link into it. So when I retrieve the code from the database, I need the code to check for this tag (class="category") and add a standard link (<a href="..">Add new Category</a>)

Not 100% sure whats the most efficient way to go about this.

Adding A Link To Each Word In A String

I have been becoming more and more familiar with PHP over the past few months, but this problem stumps me.

How can I take a string of words separated by spaces taken from an XML feed (example: word1 word2 word3 word4)

and turn it into something like this:

<a href="word1">word1</a>
<a href="word2">word2</a>
...

and so on. This has to be done on the fly, since it is taking the words from the XML feed, they change depending on the page.

I want them to be in a vertical column, and be able to link each one to the search page for that word, so each link has to be different.

An even more in-depth problem, how can I sort it then so that there are multiple columns if necessary, say one page only has 3 words, but another has 50. How can I split them up into multiple vertical columns, say with 10 words in each?

Have I confused anyone yet?

Need Help Adding Rules/exceptions So That Php Page Works With A Login Page

Hi,

I am a php newbie, who has a page that relies on some php scripts, and to which I am trying to add a login page written in php. I took the example from he

Basically it consists of adding:

to the top of any page I want to protect, a log.php file which performs the actions of the form, linking to a mySQL database, and a login.php file which contains the form.

I have the login working fine, but it breaks one of the PHP scripts on the page that is protected. It is an upload script, called Weaverbox, based on FancyUpload. The uploads which are handled by a file called upload.php, aren't happening. The progress shows that they are being uploaded, but nothing is uploaded, and there is no success message. As soon as I remove the code from the top of the page requiring log.php all works fine again.

I think I may have to add some rules/extensions to resolve this conflict, but I don't know how to go about this. Would someone be able to help me get it sorted?

Adding Active Class To Link By Regex Match

Hi,

I am adding "active_filter", "passive_filter" classes to links based on regex pattern coming from the URL:
Line 46: https://github.com/laanes/product_filtering/blob/master/APF_URL.php

The function gets called on line 89 in he https://github.com/laanes/product_filtering/blob/master/boxes/advanced_product_filtering_box.inc.php

You can see it in action he http://www.swanseatimber.co.uk/shop/hafele/brand_281.html by clicking on a category on the left, under the heading "Filter Your Results".

The clicked category gets a green background because of the added "active_filter" class. When you click again, it will get "passive_filter" class and the products are not filtered any more.

The problem: When moving to other pages by using the pagination at the top of the product results, the class doesn't get added.

Therefore, you can't remove the filter because function creating the href on line 72 in he https://github.com/laanes/product_filtering/blob/master/APF_URL.php

and the function clearing all filters on line 100 in he https://github.com/laanes/product_filtering/blob/master/APF_URL.php both fail.

What's interesting - when selecting a filter, moving to the next page, clicking in the browser url bar and hiting enter(hard reload i think?), the problem disappears and you can play with the filters again.

I really hope you find a minute to look into it and help me.

Hi,

Is it possible to build a PHP Template page that selects and publishes a row of data from a MySQL Database when a linked is clicked?

I would design: Template.php
Text links (perhaps on homepage of navigation bar): ProductA, ProductB and ProductC

If you click link ProductA Template.php would display data for ProductA and likewise for ProductB and ProductC.

I would also like search engines for find ProductA, ProductB and ProductC PHP pages. (Not just my single Template.php)

Any ideas as to how this could be done without designing individual PHP pages for each product?

Hi all,

I have a long script that processes only one image at the moment.

What I am trying to do is put all the script in to a 'foreach' section so that I can process more than just one image.

Hi everyone,

The website I am working on is http://teemagroup.com/puyafolder and I have a global navigation with a drop down menu.

What I want to do is on the right side have a PHP code to pull sub-pages under the drop down menu that its in. I don't quite know how to write it.

For example everything under "Client Services" would go on the right side of that page. You know, to make it locally available instead of a drop down. And this code would work with all other pages. It would just pull what's under that page.

I just added a user log on for a site I am building using PHP. I used a simple session based system for this. I can log on just fine. What I am looking for is a way to pass on in ht session what rank a user is so some links/pages will only show for the admin or the super user but not the normal user. I rank the users as Admin 1, superuser 2, and user 3.

This is what I have for the session in my header that allows you to be logged in.

I have been really struggling with this for a while! When a URL loads I wish to load with parameters entered & those parameters entered on a page but cannot get my head round it. Any help will be much appretiated...

So when a user navigates to www.test.com/page.php I wish to to actually pull back www.test.com/page.php?term=&submit=Go

Any help will be really really appretiated.

Adding A Comment Area To A Dynamic Page

I am looking to add a comment area to pages that are created with data that is pulled off of a database. I am looking for something like the forums on this site, but not as complex. I was thinking about attempting to use a text file to hold the comments for each ID number that is in my database and then displaying those comments when the ID number is called. I'm not sure how I would go about making a function that would search if there was a text file for that ID number and if not to create one. I'm not even sure if this is the best way to go about it but I know if I put all the comments into a database it will get rather large rather quickly. Any pointers and good tutorials would be welcome.

Sorry if it sounds as if this post is rambling, I think I need to step away from the computer for a bit.

Adding Multiple Page Numbers To While Loop

Hi iam currently writing some code for my website and i have a number of records that i simply want to display in a table format, i have done this in a while loop and it works well, however i only want to display a maximum of 10 records per page as my div needs to be a fixed height and was wondering how i could include a next button that would act as like a page number. The thing is at any given point there could be from 1 record to display to 500, so i need a way of allowing the user to quickly navigate to the other records. How can i do this without using mulitple pages.

Hope this makes sense.

Storing An Image In A Directory, Then Adding Image Link To Database?

Hi, I've read a lot of places that it's not recommended to store binary files in my db.
So instead I'm supposed to upload the image to a directory, and store the link to that directory in database.

First, how would I make a form that uploads the picture to the directory (And what kinda directories are we talking?).

Secondly, how would I retrieve that link? And I guess I should rename the picture..

I'd appreciate any help, or a good tutorial (Haven't found any myself).
