PHP - Html Form Only Shows Php File Directory In The Address Bar - No Email Sent.

I want to make the form so only people with a specific email address can sign up to the site.

So for example their ending email address was.... @something.apple.biz.com .. but to be accepted into the site, the email HAS to end with apple.biz.com.

How could you validate it so it matches something specific like this. Here is my code at the moment which just checks that their is at least one . after the @ for it to be an acceptable email. If anyone could say what else to add to do this would be great

i wanting users to be able to update there email address and check to see if the new email already exists. if the email is the same as current email ignore the check.
i have no errors showing up but if I enter a email already in the db it still accepts the new email instead of bringing the back the error message.

I have a form with PHP validation and also a mysqli query checking for duplicates in the database for mailing address and email address in mysql.     It works fine but the customers are adding spaces in the mailing address for example  111 mailing address A V  E, 1 1 1 ma iling address A V  E etc.  and my sql query doesn't see that as an address that's a duplicate.    Their alslo adding email address like my@emailaddress.com and m.y@emailaddress.com, m.y.2@emailaddress.com etc to bypass that comparision also.    Is there anyway to stop this from happening?

and how can you use the "<?php echo $ip ?>" code inside an html form in the first place if it is only html and not even php at all? (aka the ¤value="<?php echo $ip;?>"¤ part doesnt even work at all and only displays the same exact code instead of the ip...)

plus where should it display the "<script>var ip = "<?php echo $ip;?>"; </script>" part when i can only insert scripts into the <head> part and not in the <body> section?

Hi, n0obie here.  I'm trying to identify where my customers are coming from via emails I've sent/received. However, many email providers (namely Gmail) have circumvented this by disallowing IP address geolocation/image caching.

I'm using an Upload Script, and I've been working on trying to style the 'Choose File Button' (input file button)

Does anyone know of a way to use PHP to create and email a HTML file?  I was attempting to use the standard PHP mail function to pass a HTML string to the message variable, but mail clients have a pretty hard time rendering HTML/CSS correctly.  My thought was, if I could take my HTML string and turn it into a file and attach it to a email message the user would be able to open the file in there default browser which would render without issues.  Just for the record my HTML string also contains PHP variables, so it must be processes before being sent.

So far my research suggests using the PEAR library for sending mail with attachments, but I am only finding literature on how to attach a file already existing on the server to an email message.  I am having trouble finding a way to create a HTML file on the fly and attach it to an email message.  Has anyone had a similar problem?  Is there a different way to accomplish what I am attempting to do here?

From what I've been reading you need to tell the php to put it to a temporary file from the submit.. then move it to the file name and then somehow include that file name in the php email back.  So maybe a url and its private or htaccess? or does it get included as attachment in the mail?

Im not sure if i should be using 'id' or 'name' in the html form etc and how to tie it together.

Any help or guides much appreciated.

Hi all

I have a script that I have patched together and got to work in pieces.  I'm up to the last part.  I have the form working and emailing.  It also will upload an image by itself and put it in a folder.  Now i just need to tie those together and have the image put in the email as an attachment then deleted from server.

I have it at a stage where it sends me the users details.. and it tries to send the photo but it comes through as junk txt.  I think its the MIME encoding stuff that I have wrong.. not sure?

I have a one-page responsive website template with a built-in contact email form whereby I would like to add an upload file attachment provision to the contact form. While I have been able to successfully add two fields (source, URL) to the built-in contact email form, with exception of adding the HTML to the form , modification to the contact email form's PHP files  appears to be much more involved whereby I have been unable to find a barebones PHP code I can add to the existing PHP to make this work. I should also add that while I am well versed in HTML, CSS, and Javascript, I am not when it comes to PHP. In brief, I prefer not to replace the built-in contact form with different HTML and PHP for adding a contact form email file attachment.  Any suggestions regarding this subject matter are appreciated. Since PHP is not listed under accepted file types for attachment to this post, I can provide download links to the contact email form PHP files from my iHost server for review if need be. The website address to view the HTML source code for the built-in contact form is https://www.seoauditspecialists.com. Ok I am very new to php so please excuse my lack of knowledge.

I have a simple contact form that I have placed onto one of my sites. The form works correctly in that it get sent to the correct address without any problems.

The issue I am having is with the 'From' header. It will not show the senders email address as I would like. Instead it seems to be showing the server address.

I have been 'playing' with the code for 2 days now and I still cannot get it to work.

Any suggestions would be greatfully received.
