PHP - Trying To Convert Column From Full Name Field To First And Last Name Fields
I'm trying to do this with the code below. I get an error because explode thinks I'm just sending it one argument since the string is held by an array element. If I can get the array from the explode function I can insure it into the first and last name fields in my table. Any suggestions? --Kenoli

I am very new to PHP & Mysql.
I am trying to insert values into two tables at the same time. One table will insert a single row and the other table will insert multiple records based on user insertion.
Everything is working well, but in my second table, 1st Table ID simply insert one time and rest of the values are inserting from 2nd table itself.
Now I want to insert the first table's ID Field value (auto-incrementing) to a specific column in the second table (only all last inserted rows).

Thank you in advance... here is my situation, I have a form with three (3) fields in it, the 'student name' is unlimited textfield with an "add more" button to it and I have two select fields ('number of shirts' and 'trophies') that depend on the number of entries for 'student name'...
I want to create the select fields based on this math, for as many 'student name' entries:
1- i want to have the select form for 'number of shirts' to be 0 up to that number... so if there are 6 'student name' entries, the select options will be 0,1,3,4,5,6,7
2- I want to have the select form for 'trophies' to be 5 'student name' entries to 1 'trophies', for example if there are 6 'student name' entries, the select options will be 0,1... if there are 13 entries, options will be 0,1,2... So if there are less than 5 'student name' entries, the select field will not show (hidden)
of course if there are no 'student name' entries, these two fields won't show up (hidden)
let me know if that make sense and ANY help or directions will be GREATLY APPRECIATED.

Hi: I'm going crazy trying to do the following: I'm making a job registration process where the user registers on one php page to the website, must acknowlege and email receipt using an activate php page, then is directed to upload their C.V. (resume) based on the email address they enter in the active page output. I then run an upload page to store the resume in teh MySQL db based on the users email address in the same record. If I isolate the process of the user registering to the db, it works perfectly. If I isolate the file upload process into the db, it works perfect. I simply cannot upload teh file to the existing record based on teh email form field matching the user_email field in the db. With the processes together, teh user is activated, but teh file is not uploaded. Maybe I've simply been at this too long today, but am compeled to get through it by end day. If anyone can help sugest a better way or help me fix this, I will soo greatly appreciate it.
