Hi all, i am running a php based virtual airline for a flightsimulator (free and open source) www.flightgear.org i am interested in creating a page where i can have members connect to the sim via localhost and port which will then read data sent from the sims internal server. i can send data via tcp by creating the port via the simulator I can create a protocol file so the server knows what data i am requesting (in the image above there is a protocol file "squawk" already requested. i know i can use fsocket_create etc or thats the theory. In the same $-POST , i wanted to perform update and delete. With the updated and deleted database, I need to select the updated data from the database. However, it tells me: Warning: mysqli_num_rows() expects parameter 1 to be mysqli_result, boolean given in... .I am new to sql in php, is it true that i cannot perform sql in this way? I'd like to write - or acquire - code that displays a simple table (name, phone number, email address, plus a comments field) on a web page in a password-protected page and allows a user to add his own information, update it or delete it. I figure hundreds of people and companies have written something like this so I'd like to find either an example I can imitate or even an existing package that I can simply customize to the specifics for my own table. Trying to get this done: Page_1 has many external links, when certain links are clicked i do not want user to go directly to page, but rather go to a special add page_2 where user must click a second time on the link to finally get there. The add page_2 must show on screen the name of the initial link from page_1, it must change accordingly with the link it came from page_1,once on page_2 the hyperlink redirects outside the site. So far i am thinking give an id to the div or "<a href..." on page_1 then somehow have page_2 detect that id and fill in the variable for the final external link. Other wise is there a way to detect a url from incoming? I guess a similar example is how some domain name sellers landing page will indicate the name of the site.
